Bab El Allouj

Bab Bnet, or Bab El Benet (Arabic: باب البنات) was one of the gates of the medina of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. The founder of the Hafsid dynasty, Abu Zakariya, had a palace near this gate in the 13th century. He captured three of his rival's daughters and raised them as his daughters in the palace near this gate. As a result, the gate was named for the girls, as Bnet translates to the "young girls". The gate has since been destroyed, but a boulevard near the gate's location retains the Bab Bnet name.

Dar Al Jaziri (Arabic: دار الجزيري) is a palace in the medina of Tunis. Located in the Tribunal Street, a few meters from Dar Lasram, it was one of the residences of the Jaziri family between the 12th and 18th centuries. In 1937, it housed the second Neo Destour congress. Listed as an historical building in 1992, it is nowadays the seat of the House of Poetry. Near the palace stands the family mausoleum known as Tourbet Al Jaziri, its door opening in front of Dar Lasram.

The National Library of Tunisia (Arabic: المكتبة الوطنية التونسية) is the legal deposit and copyright library for Tunisia. It was founded in 1885, then known as the French Library, and then the People's library. The Tunisian government assigned a budget of 28 million Dinars for a new building for the library, and in 2005 the library was relocated.The library is 70m tall and it is composed of 14 floors it is one of the tallest buildings in Tunisia and one of the most famous Islamic style building in Tunisia
