Saint-Nicolas du Chardonnet (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ ni.kɔ.lɑ dy ʃaʁ.dɔ.nɛ]) is a Catholic church in the centre of Paris, France, in the 5th arrondissement. It was constructed between 1656 and 1763. The facade was designed in the classical style by Charles Le Brun. It contains many notable art works from the 19th century, including a rare religious painting by Jean-Baptiste Corot. Since the expulsion of the parish priest and his assistants by traditionalist Catholics in 1977, the church has been run by the Society of St. Pius X, which celebrates Traditional Latin Masses there.

The Maison de la Mutualité (often shortened to la Mutualité) is a conference center at 24 Rue Saint-Victor, 5th arrondissement of Paris, France. The closest métro station is Maubert-Mutualité. It is the headquarters of the federation of nonprofit mutual insurers of the Île-de-France région, which rents its halls and rooms to outside users. The conference center has an attached restaurant. La Mutualité hosts a variety of events, from the yearly meeting of the shareholders of small companies to important meetings of national political parties. Because of the latter, it often appears in the news. The theatre of the Maison de la Mutualité was used as a classical recordings venue, particularly for many records by the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra after the Second World War, but also in more recent years, for instance by Deutsche Grammophon for Messiaen's Quatuor pour la fin du temps and by Philips for Cavalleria rusticana conducted Semyon Bychkov.French anarchist singer-songwriters Léo Ferré (see live album Léo Ferré Mai 68) and Renaud sang here. In 1950 the Association Internationale de la Mutualité was established during a conference in the Maison de la Mutualité.

The Battle of Lutetia was a battle on the plain of Grenelle in what is now Paris between Roman forces under Titus Labienus and an anti-Roman Gallic coalition in 52 BC during the Gallic Wars. It was a Roman victory.

The Fontaine de l'Abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a fountain constructed in 1715-1717, at the end of the reign of King Louis XIV and the beginning of the reign of Louis XV, to provide drinking water in the neighborhood near the church of Saint Germain-des-Prés, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It was originally located at the corner of the Rue Sainte-Marguerite (now rue Gozlin) and Rue Childebert. The fountain mechanics were designed by Jean Beausire, the chief of public works and fountain-maker for Louis XIV, who built more than twenty fountains in Paris between 1684 and 1740. The architect was Victor-Thierry Dailly, who in 1715 was commissioned to build a group of houses and the fountain around the parvis of the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Pres.In the middle of the 19th century, the construction of Boulevard Saint-Germain by Baron Haussmann required the destruction of the site where the fountain was located. The fountain was moved to Place Langevin in the 5th arronidissement, against the wall of the old Ecole Polytechnique, where it can be seen today.

The Collège of Bernardins, or Collège Saint-Bernard, located no 20, rue de Poissy in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, is a former Cistercian college of the historic University of Paris. Founded by Stephen of Lexington, abbot of Clairvaux, and built from 1248 with the encouragement of Pope Innocent IV, it served until the French Revolution as the residence for the Cistercian monks, students at the University of Paris.After an overall renovation completed in September 2008, it is now a place for meetings, dialogues, training and culture, offering a rich program of public conferences and symposia, exhibitions, concerts, activities for young people and a theological and biblical studies center. Since 2009, it houses the Académie catholique de France. It has been the subject of a classification for French historical monuments since 10 February 1871.

The Musée des Collections Historiques de la Préfecture de Police, also known as the Musée de la Préfecture de Police, is a museum of police history in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is located in the Hôtel de police at 4, rue de la Montagne-Sainte-Geneviève. The museum is open daily except Sunday; admission is free. The museum was originally started by prefect Louis Lépine (1846-1933) for the Exposition Universelle (1900), and has gradually grown through subsequent years. It now contains evidence, photographs, letters, memorabilia, and drawings that reflect major events in the history of France (including conspiracies and arrests), famous criminal cases and characters, prisons, and daily life in the capital such as traffic and hygiene. Exhibits include a guillotine, uniforms, the pistol used in the assassination of Paul Doumer, and relics of the World War II occupation including German machine guns and insignias worn by Jews.

The Musée de l'Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (Museum of Public Assistance–Paris Hospitals) is a museum dedicated to the history of Parisian hospitals. It is located on the left bank of the Seine in the 5th arrondissement, at 47, quai de la Tournelle, Paris, France. The museum closed in 2012 and is evaluating reopening.The nearest Paris Métro station is Maubert-Mutualité on Line 10. The museum was housed in the Hôtel de Miramion, attributed to architect François Mansart, which was built as a private mansion for Christopher Martin in about 1630. The building became a Catholic school for girls from 1675 to 1794, then, during the First Empire, it was converted into the central pharmacy for hospitals in Paris, which operated from 1812 until 1974. The museum was established in 1934 by the municipal authority, Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris. The museum contained a broad collection of nearly 10,000 objects related to the history of Parisian hospitals from the Middle Ages to the present day. Objects held include French and Flemish paintings, furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, a major collection of pharmaceutical faiences, textiles, and medical instruments. About 8% of these items are presented in permanent exhibits, with rotating temporary exhibits that include loans from other museums. In 2002, an apothecary garden of 65 medicinal plants was created in the museum's courtyard.

Located in the 5th arrondissement, it is situated at the heart of the Latin Quarter on the Rive Gauche. In 2013, it was used by 2,631,728 passengers, making it the 207th busiest station out of 302 on the Métro network.
