Langstone Harbour is a 2,085.4-hectare (5,153-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hampshire. It is an inlet of the English Channel in Hampshire, sandwiched between Portsea Island to the south and west, Hayling Island to the south and east, and Langstone to the north. It is part of the Ramsar site of Langstone and Chichester Harbour Special Protection Area and Nature Conservation Review site. Parts are Special Areas of Conservation, or Local Nature Reserves, and some areas by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Historically, the harbour has been used for salt and sand production, as well as fishing and latterly leisure boating. A ferry across the mouth of the harbour has been in operation for more than 200 years.

South Binness Island is an island in Langstone Harbour. It is 600 metres (660 yd) long and up to 240 metres (260 yd) wide but only rises to 2 metres (7 ft) above Ordnance Datum. Archaeological finds include Bronze Age pottery and an unfinished Plano-convex knife.In 1978 the island along with the other islands in Langstone harbour was acquired by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds who turned it into a bird sanctuary. Since that time unauthorised landings have been forbidden.The Island is a nesting site for black-headed gulls and the little tern. In 2008 the island had 4,886 nesting pairs of black-headed gulls and 11 nesting pairs of little terns. None of the little terns managed to raise any young that year something thought to be in part due to the number of black-headed gulls. In 2013 500 tonnes of aggregate was added to a beach on the island in order to raise its height. The hope was that the higher beach would offer little terns more nesting sites high enough to avoid the risk of them being washed away by the tide.

Hayling Billy is a 42-hectare (100-acre) Local Nature Reserve on Hayling Island in Hampshire. It is owned by Hampshire County Council and managed by Hampshire Countryside Service. It is part of Chichester and Langstone Harbours Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, Solent Maritime Special Area of Conservation and Langstone Harbour Site of Special Scientific Interest.This is a footpath along the former Hayling Island branch railway line along the eastern shore of Langstone Harbour between Havant and South Hayling.

Baker's Island is an island in Langstone Harbour, Hampshire, England. It is 400 m (1,300 ft) long and up to 300 m (980 ft) wide but only rises to a little over 2 m (7 ft) above Ordnance Datum. Mesolithic and Neolithic flintwork has been found on the island along with Bronze Age and Romano-British pottery. There are a number of structures on the island including the remains of a flint walled building and five 5 by 1.5 m (16.4 by 4.9 ft) brick shelters believed to be part of a World War Two starfish decoy site. In 1978 the island along with the other islands in Langstone Harbour was acquired by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds who turned it into a bird sanctuary. Since that time unauthorised landings have been forbidden.

Hayling Island (called South Hayling until 1892) was a station on Hayling Island in southeastern Hampshire, England. It was opened for passengers in 1867 as the terminus of the four and a half mile Hayling Island branch, a single track line from Havant which transported holidaymakers to the resort until its closure in 1963.The station had a small wooden coal stage used to refill the bunkers of the A1X steam locomotives working the branch. Goods services, including wagons of coal for the locomotives, continued until the last day of operation. The only part of the station remaining today is the former goods shed which was incorporated into a theatre, and is a landmark on one end of the Hayling Billy Trail.

The Kench, Hayling Island is a 6-hectare (15-acre) Local Nature Reserve on Hayling Island in Hampshire. It is owned by Hampshire County Council and managed by Hampshire Countryside Service. It is part of Chichester and Langstone Harbours Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, Solent Maritime Special Area of Conservation and Langstone Harbour Site of Special Scientific Interest.This site on the south shore of Langstone Harbour is an area of saltmarsh and intertidal mud. Birds use the mud as a feeding area at low tide and roost on a shingle ridge during high tide.

Sinah is the area at the southwestern end of Hayling Island. It incorporates the Ferrypoint, Sinah Beach, The Kench, Sinah Warren, and Sinah Common. It is bounded to the east by West Town. Langstone Harbour and its entrance form the north and west borders, and to the south is Hayling Bay.

Long Island is an island in Langstone Harbour in Hampshire, England. It is 750 metres (820 yd) long and up to 250 metres (270 yd) wide. Three Bronze Age pots have been found on the island as has Mesolithic and late neolithic flint-work. Bronze Age pottery along with smaller amounts of Romano-British pottery have been found on the island.In 1978 the island along with the other islands in Langstone harbour was acquired by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds who turned it into a bird sanctuary. West Hayling is a 76.2-hectare (188-acre) Local Nature Reserve on Hayling Island in Hampshire. It is owned by Havant Borough Council and managed by the council and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. It is part of Langstone Harbour, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is also part of Solent Maritime Special Area of Conservation and of Chichester and Langstone Harbours Ramsar site and Special Protection Area.This site has large areas of intertidal mudflats and lagoons with vast numbers of marine invertebrates, which provide food for tens of thousands of wintering and breeding birds.

North Hayling station was a halt on the single track Hayling Island branch, most often used to load oysters caught by local fishermen, but also ornithologists and ramblers. The station, along with the line was closed, in 1963. The station was located on the west coast of Hayling Island, very close to the coast. The station was very basic, with a timber concourse and wooden shelter. The station has been demolished and a section of the trackbed is now a footpath.

Sinah Common is a 243-hectare (600-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on Hayling Island in Hampshire, England.This coastal site has maritime shingle grassland, some of which is rich in lichens, sand dunes, heath and saltmarsh. It has also been designated an SSSI because of its population of the endangered flowering plant childing pink at one of only two sites in Britain, and for its outstanding assemblage of other nationally scarce plants. There are also populations of nationally rare and scarce invertebrates.It lies adjacent to the Sinah Common World War II Heavy Anti-aircraft gunsite, a scheduled monument, with a small overlap.

Stoke is a village on Hayling Island in the Havant district, in the county of Hampshire, England. The village lies on the Havant A3023 road between North Hayling and South Hayling. The village is closest to Langstone Harbour, opposite the city of Portsmouth.
