Chickamauga Historic District

Gordon Lee Memorial High School (GLHS) is a four-year public high school located in Chickamauga, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Chickamauga City School District, which serves the City of Chickamauga in Walker County.

Crawfish Spring is a body of water in Walker County, Georgia, on the east side of Cove Road in Chickamauga. The spring was named for Chief Crawfish of the Cherokee.

The Gordon-Lee Mansion is located in Chickamauga, Georgia and was originally referred to as the Gordon residence. Construction began in 1840 and was not completed until 1847 due to labor and financial issues. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Gordon-Lee House and is also known as the Gordon-Lee-Green House. It is individually listed on the National Register, and is also included in the Chickamauga Historic District. The listing includes six contributing buildings including the main house, a slave house, and a smokehouse, and it includes two contributing sites, on 13 acres (5.3 ha).The house was built by slave labor. Bricks were made on the site.Just before the Battle of Chickamauga the home was used by the Union army as the headquarters of General Rosecrans. During the battle it was used as a federal hospital for soldiers. The mansion is the only remaining structure from the Battle of Chickamauga. As it stands now the home is owned by the city of Chickamauga and is a national historic site. The Gordon-Lee Mansion has now been turned into a Wedding venue and is open for tours during spring and summer.

The Chickamauga City School District is a public school district in Walker County, Georgia, based in Chickamauga. It serves the city of Chickamauga and the surrounding communities in Walker County. The district consists of three schools, one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school.

The Chickamauga Coal and Iron Company Coke Ovens are beehive coke ovens that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. According to their NRHP nomination, the coke ovens are:"Significant in the context of the mining and coke industry that occurred between 1870 and 1930 in southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia. The region was part of the Appalachian coal field that stretched from northern Pennsylvania to central Alabama in the Cumberland Mountains region. This New South industry was initiated when the Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad opened in 1854."

The Chickamauga Lodge No. 221, Free and Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliate, also known as Chickamauga Masonic Lodge No. 221, was built in 1924. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It is a two-story 20 feet (6.1 m) tall, 24 feet (7.3 m) wide, 36 feet (11 m) deep building with a wood-frame structure set on a foundation of cement blocks, brick and rocks. It was built by members during 1921–1924. As of 2006, it had been covered with red rolled asphalt siding since 1952. The NRHP nomination noted that the asphalt siding preserved the building and was installed during the NRHP-eligible historic period (i.e. more than 50 years before the NRHP listing date). However, the April 2011 photo (shown here) shows that the asphalt siding had been removed. As of 2006 the lodge continued to be an active lodge. It has original wooden handcrafted lodge furnishings used for ceremonial meetings.

Crawfish Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is a tributary to West Chickamauga Creek. Crawfish Creek received its name from the Cherokee Indians of the area, who saw crayfish in its water. A variant name is "Crayfish Creek".

The Lee and Gordon Mill in Chickamauga, Georgia is a historic grist mill and store. A saw mill was another line of its business. It produced over 70,000 bushels of milled grain in 1880, when it operated about 11 hours per day, six days per week, employing several men.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Wilder Brigade Monument (also known as the Wilder Tower) is a large public monument located at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Walker County, Georgia, United States. The monument, which consists of a stone watchtower, was erected to honor the Lightning Brigade (led by John T. Wilder) of the Northern Union Army's Army of the Cumberland. The brigade participated in the Battle of Chickamauga during the American Civil War, with the monument located on the battlefield where the brigade fought.
