The Western Australian Athletics Stadium is a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia. It is the main facility for the sport of athletics in Perth. It was constructed to replace the ageing Perry Lakes Stadium nearby, which had been in use since the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. The stadium houses the head offices of Athletics Western Australia and is a major facility for athletes with the Western Australian Institute of Sport. The stadium is also used for soccer, with Subiaco AFC playing home games at the stadium from 2014.

Perth Superdrome, known as HBF Stadium under a commercial naming rights arrangement, is a sports complex in Perth, Western Australia. It is home to the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS). The venue is located in the suburb of Mount Claremont, approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of Perth's central business district. The complex was opened in 1986. It received its current name through a naming-rights sponsorship deal with the HBF Health Fund in 2014. Although the previous sponsorship with Challenge Bank expired in 2002, the Challenge Stadium name remained in use until 2014.Facilities include an Olympic-standard aquatic centre with five pools, a diving tower, gymnasium, two arenas, and several basketball courts, as well as a café, childcare centre, sports store, office accommodation and a museum. The main indoor arena has seating for 4,500 spectators, or for over 5,000 people including standing room. Regular exhibitions and expos are hosted at the venue, as well as national and international sporting events.

The WA Basketball Centre (also known by its sponsored name, the Bendat Basketball Centre) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium features eight courts, including two basketball show courts with 1,100 permanent seats and 900 retractable seats, and a six-court sports hall with multi-sport line markings. Facilities cater primarily for basketball, in addition to netball, volleyball and badminton. The stadium also holds a function room on the first floor for up to 270 people, with bar and kitchen facilities. The stadium houses the offices of Basketball Western Australia, Perry Lakes Basketball Association, and the Perth Wildcats. The facility is the main training base of the Wildcats, home court of the Perth Lynx, and hosts countless state, junior and social games throughout the year.

UWA Sports Park is a multi-purpose sporting and recreation reserve in Mount Claremont, Western Australia. It is located on 56 hectares of land approximately 10 km west of Perth and is owned by the University of Western Australia.The park provides sporting facilities for Australian rules football, Rugby union, soccer, and field hockey as well as baseball, softball and tennis. The park has clubhouse and changing room facilities and the fields have lighting suitable for hosting night time sports events. The land that UWA Sports Park is situated on was gifted to the university by the Government of Western Australia in 1904.Clubs based at UWA Sports Park as of 2014 include: UWAAC Athletics Club (founded 1928) UBSC University Baseball and Softball Club (founded 1947) UWA Hockey Club (est. 1924) UWA Rugby Club (founded 1929) UWA Tennis Club (est. 1914) UWA Football Club (founded 1911, Australian rules football - PFL) UWA Nedlands Football Club (founded 1949, Association football)UWA Sports Park was also the main home ground in Perth to host National Rugby Championship matches; for the Perth Spirit (2014–2017) and Western Force (2018–2019).

The Perry Lakes Reserve is a nature reserve located approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, in the suburb of Floreat. Within the 80-hectare (200-acre) reserve are two lakes, East Lake and West Lake, comprising approximately 12.6 hectares (31 acres).In its current form, the reserve dates from 1962 when the area was landscaped in association with the construction of Perry Lakes Stadium and associated sporting tracks and facilities for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. The Australian Scout Jamboree has been held in the parkland twice, during the summers of 1979/80 and 1994/95. The sporting complex was demolished in 2011 to make way for housing development.

Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium was a purpose-built basketball stadium located in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium was built for the Australian Basketball Senior Men's Championships held in October 1962, and was Western Australia's home of basketball until 2010.At the time of construction, the stadium featured three courts and had no second stand facing Court 1. Courts 2 and 3 had bitumen surfaces and ran parallel to the other courts. Later Courts 4 and 5 were added, followed by the corridor along with Courts 6, 7 and 8. Court 1 at Perry Lakes was considered by many to be second only to Apollo Stadium in Adelaide as the finest in Australia.The stadium housed the headquarters of Basketball Western Australia and Perry Lakes Basketball Association. The Perth Wildcats played their home games at Perry Lakes between 1982 and 1986, while the Perth Lynx played at Perry Lakes between 1988 and 2010.The stadium was closed in March 2010 and later demolished to make way for housing developments. The stadium's successor was Bendat Basketball Centre, located just metres down the road.

Perry Lakes Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium adjacent to Perry Lakes in Floreat, Western Australia. It was built and funded by the State Government and the City of Perth in 1962 for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and had a nominal capacity of 30,000. Many other events had been held at Perry Lakes Stadium over the years such as the athletics, soccer and rugby. It has been redeveloped into a residential site and the facility has been replaced by the Western Australian Athletics Stadium, which was constructed on the southern side of Underwood Avenue, which opened nearby in March 2009. The new facilities were funded by the Town of Cambridge and the State Government. It was the venue of the Public Schools Association and Associated and Catholic Colleges of Western Australia (ACC) athletics carnivals and was also used for the Cancer Council of Western Australia's Relay for Life. The opening and closing ceremonies for the annual Countryweek sports carnival were also held at the stadium with most sporting events being conducted at McGillivray Oval and UWA Sports Park. Demolition of the stadium began in April 2010, with the grandstand being demolished in September 2012.

The Quarry Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue located close to the ocean in City Beach, Western Australia. It has a 19 by 13.5 m (62 by 44 ft) sprung wooden stage and changing facilities for around 80 performers. It was officially opened on 9 November 1986 and is owned and operated by the Town of Cambridge.The amphitheatre is located in an old limestone quarry, first quarried in 1834 by Henry Trigg. The limestone from the quarry was used for construction and lime-burning. In 1847 Trigg sold the landholdings to Walter Padbury, who continued the quarrying operations. At the height of the limestone kiln operations, more than 50 men worked at the site. The land was then sold to brothers Henry and Somers Birch in 1869, and then on to Joseph Perry in 1879. Perry kept the quarry and lime kilns working, with the last lime kiln being built in 1897. The quarrying ceased in 1906. In 1917 the land was sold to the Perth City Council. The concept of converting the quarry into an amphitheatre was conceived by Diana Waldron, the director of the Perth City Ballet Company, in the early 1980s. With funding support from the Commonwealth Government, Lotteries Commission and the former City of Perth, the vision finally became a reality and the Quarry Amphitheatre was officially opened on 9 November 1986. It is set in natural bushland and supports a capacity audience of 566. It is a licensed BYO facility. The venue is used extensively between October and May for a range of events from ballet to concerts and large weddings.

John XXIII College is a Roman Catholic co-educational primary and secondary day school located in Mount Claremont, a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school provides education from kindergarten to Year 12 students and operates under the authority of the Catholic Archbishop of Perth. The college is the result of the merger in 1977 of the Jesuit Saint Louis boys school spread over different campuses (first opened in 1938) and Loreto Convent girls school (first opened in 1897). In 1986 the school was relocated to its present site in Mount Claremont.

Bold Park is a 437-hectare (1,080-acre) urban bushland area in the suburb of City Beach, in Perth, Western Australia. It is located 8 km (5 mi) directly west of the Perth central business district, its western border less than one kilometre from the Indian Ocean. To the east, Perry Lakes reserve is directly adjacent to the park. The hilly topography allows views of both the city and ocean.

Swanbourne Hospital is a heritage listed former mental hospital located in Mount Claremont, Western Australia. Built in 1904, it was the largest stand-alone psychiatric hospital in Western Australia for much of the twentieth century until its closure in September 1972. The hospital was originally known as Claremont Hospital for the Insane, Claremont Mental Hospital and Claremont Hospital. Following the closure of Claremont Hospital in 1972, the original 1904 section of the hospital functioned as the Swanbourne Hospital until 1985. The site was vacant from 1986, until renovated and reopened primarily as an aged care residence in 2018.The 2.48-hectare (6.1-acre) site contains buildings of significant heritage value, including Montgomery Hall, which used to be the second largest theatre venue in Perth.

Mount Claremont, known previously as Graylands, is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the Town of Cambridge and the City of Nedlands. Graylands underwent significant changes in the 1950s, with the post war downgrading of military and migrant facilities in the area.
