The Home Bank and Trust Company is a historic bank building at 1200 N. Ashland Avenue in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The bank was organized in 1911 to serve the surrounding neighborhoood, which was expanding as transportation to downtown Chicago improved. It became an institution for the neighborhood's Polish American community, both by providing it with financial services and by having many Polish employees and directors. The bank's 1926 Renaissance Revival building was designed by Karl M. Vitzthum. Vitzthum was a Chicago architect known for designing both banks and skyscrapers. The six-story building's design includes a three-story arched entrance flanked by two-story arched windows, limestone carvings, pilasters on the upper three stories, and a cornice and frieze along its roof. The Home Bank and Trust Company merged into the Manufacturers National Bank of Chicago in 1948, but its building still serves as a bank.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 21, 2007.

Division was a rapid transit station on the Chicago "L"'s Logan Square branch. It existed from 1895 to 1951, when its section of the branch was replaced by the Milwaukee-Dearborn Subway. A replacement station was constructed on the subway.

Polish Downtown was Chicago's oldest and most prominent Polish settlement. Polish Downtown was the political, cultural and social capital of not only Poles in Chicago but Polish Americans throughout North America as well. Centered on Polonia Triangle at the intersection of Division, Ashland and Milwaukee Avenue, the headquarters for almost every major Polish organization in the United States was clustered within its vicinity, beginning with the Polish National Alliance to the Polish Daily News.

Polonia Triangle (Polish: Trójkąt Polonijny), also known as the Polish Triangle, is located in West Town, in what had been the historical Polish Downtown area of Chicago. A single-tiered fountain made of black iron with a bowl about nine feet in diameter is installed at its center. Polonia Triangle derives its name from the Polish word Polonia, which means 'Polish diaspora'. Polonia Triangle was considered to be the center or town square of Chicago's Polish Downtown, the city's oldest and most prominent Polish settlement. In many ways it functioned as the capital of the American Polonia with the headquarters for almost every major Polish organization in the United States clustered within its vicinity. It is bound by Division, Ashland and Milwaukee Avenue. Organisations located within its vicinity include the Polish National Alliance to the Polish Daily News. Polonia Triangle is one of 11 neighborhoods included in The Labor Trail which chronicles Chicago's history of working class life and struggle. The site is still home to the Chopin Theatre and is used for processions during Corpus Christi by parishioners of two of Chicago's Polish Cathedrals: St. Stanislaus Kostka and Holy Trinity Polish Mission. The Blue Line's Division/Milwaukee station is also located at the Polonia Triangle.

Chopin Plaza (Polish: Plac Chopina) is a small plaza in Chicago's Gladstone Park neighborhood at the intersection of Milwaukee, Elston and Melvina avenues. Unofficially named in honor of Frederic Chopin by 41st Ward Alderman Roman Pucinski after the composer in recognition of Northwest Chicago's sizable Polish population, it received this official designation in June 2014 thanks to Alderman Margaret Laurino.

Division (or Division/Milwaukee in station announcements) is an 'L' station on the CTA's Blue Line. The station is located at the Polonia Triangle (the intersection of Milwaukee, Ashland, and Division) and serves the Wicker Park and East Ukrainian Village areas of West Town. From Division, trains take 6 minutes to reach downtown.

The Polish National Alliance Headquarters, located at 1514-1520 W. Division Street in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, is the former headquarters of the Polish National Alliance. The Polish National Alliance is a fraternal organization for Polish-Americans which was founded in 1880. The organization was founded to provide aid to new Polish immigrants, promote the preservation of Polish culture in America, and campaign for an independent Poland. Its headquarters building at 1514-1520 W. Division opened in 1938; the organization had been seeking a larger headquarters for some time before then, but the Great Depression and internal conflicts prevented them from building one. Architect Joseph A. Slupkowski, a Polish-American himself who designed several buildings for Chicago's Polish community, designed the Art Deco headquarters. The organization used the building as its headquarters until 1976; during this time, it raised money for the U.S. troops in World War II, successfully supported a law to accept Polish refugees to the United States after the war, and helped establish the Polish American Congress.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 23, 2014.

Schwa is an upscale restaurant run by chef-owner Michael Carlson and chef de cuisine Papi Chulo. It is located on Ashland Avenue in Wicker Park, Chicago, and is known for its unconventional approach to foodservice. Simple table settings match the building's drab exterior and its tiny 26-seat interior. The restaurant employs no support staff of any kind. Chefs interact directly with customers and are encouraged to act as silly as they wish, as long as they produce top quality food. Opening in 2005, Schwa quickly drew local and national attention resulting in a large backlog of reservations. In 2007, Schwa was chosen to host the opening night of Charlie Trotter's 20th anniversary celebration. The evening was considered a success, but placed a great deal of stress on Carlson, causing him to close Schwa the following day for a four-month hiatus. Schwa's menu is known for unusual ingredients and innovative food combinations, such as Carlson's version of pad Thai made with jellyfish tentacles instead of noodles. The quail egg ravioli is considered the restaurant's signature dish. Schwa has received positive reviews from both local and national critics. It has received three star to three-and-a-half star ratings from the Chicago Tribune, Chicago magazine, and the Mobil Travel Guide. BlackBook Magazine says Schwa features "some of the best food you will ever consume", while famed chef Grant Achatz lists it among his personal favorite places to eat. Several critics have stated that below-average service prevents the restaurant from getting a higher rating. Schwa made Citysearch's Top 10 New Restaurants of 2006 and New York magazine's Grub Street blog ranked it among the five hardest reservations to score in the country. In 2009, Schwa made Frommer's international list of 500 exceptional restaurants.

Holy Trinity High School is a Catholic secondary school founded in Chicago, Illinois, United States, by the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1910. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. Established in 1910 by the Brothers of Holy Cross, Holy Trinity was originally a boys' school serving the neighborhood sons of Polish immigrants. Today, Holy Trinity is co-educational and serves Hispanic, African American, Caucasian, and Asian students. Holy Trinity is centrally located to the Chicago area and attracts students from more than 50 ZIP codes across the city as well as around the world, through its international program.

William H. Wells Community Academy High School (commonly known as Wells High School) is public 4-year high school located in the West Town neighborhood on the Near Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Wells is a part of the Chicago Public Schools system. Wells serves grades 9 through 12. Wells is named after former superintendent of Chicago Public Schools William H. Wells. Currently, Wells serves a large section of the inner and central areas of Chicago, with its attendance boundaries reaching as far north as Webster Avenue, as far south as 16th Street, as far east as Lake Michigan, and as far west as Sacramento Boulevard. This area includes sections of West Town, Bucktown, the Chicago Loop, the Near North Side, and the Near West Side.

Pulaski Park is a park on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 1912, and was named after American Revolutionary War hero Casimir Pulaski. Pulaski Park derives its name from the historic park and fieldhouse that was designed by Jens Jensen between 1912 and 1914. 1,200 people were displaced, leading to the razing of a number of buildings while others were moved to nearby locations in the neighborhood.The park and fieldhouse were listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 13, 1981. It became an official Chicago Landmark on July 29, 2003.The neighborhood in the park's vicinity within West Town is called Pulaski Park after the park.
