St. Albans Farms Stone Barn

St. Albans General Store, also known as Head's Store, is a historic commercial building located at St. Albans, Franklin County, Missouri. It was built in 1892, and is a two-story frame building with a large one-story ell. It features a one-story, wrap-around porch. The main block has a steeply-pitched truncated hip roof. Also on the property is a contributing blacksmith shop constructed in the 1920s. It is a significant example of a rural general store and residence.: 5, 12 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Fiddle Creek is a stream in northeast Franklin County in east central Missouri.The stream headwaters are located adjacent to Missouri Route 100 approximately one mile northeast of Gray Summit at 38°30′19″N 90°48′21″W and the confluence with the Missouri River is at 38°35′58″N 90°45′45″W. The stream enters the Missouri River floodplain after crossing under Missouri Route T at Oetters and then runs along the south margin of the floodplain past St Albans to enter the Missouri River approximately 1.5 miles northeast of St Albans.Fiddle Creek got its name because fiddling was a popular pastime among early settlers near the creek.

The Lewis and Clark Expedition visited that cave and Meriwether Lewis nearly lost his life when slipping down the bluffs here. The expedition journals mention a whirlpool in the river, the Devil's Raceground, which is now dry land, due to a change in the course of the river: it is the portion of St. Charles County anomalously on the south side of the river. St. Albans was home to The Fulton School at St. Albans, an independent, not-for-profit, private Montessori school serving students from 18 months of age through 12th grade.

Engelmann Woods Natural Area consists of 149 acres (0.60 km2) in northeastern Franklin County, Missouri. It is located southwest of the town of St. Albans on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. Engelmann Woods preserves one of the last old growth forests in Missouri. Some of the trees in the area are approximately 3 feet (0.91 m) in diameter, 100 feet (30 m) tall, and 200 years old. In 1942, private landowners, primarily Mrs. Oscar Johnson, donated the land to the Missouri Botanical Garden. The Missouri Department of Conservation acquired the area in the 1980s, and it was designated a natural area in 1983.There is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) hiking trail in the area, and hunting and fishing are not permitted in the area.

Gustav Grauer Farm, also known as the Maple Springs Farm and Creminscroft, is a historic home and farm located near Pacific, Franklin County, Missouri. The farmhouse was built about 1866 by German immigrants, and is a two-story, enclosed dogtrot log structure that was later clapboarded. Also on the property are the contributing barn, smokehouse spring house, and shed.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

It consists of a single pen hewn log main section with single pen hewn log ell. The main section measures approximately 18 feet wide and 27 feet deep and has a side gable roof.: 5 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
