South Union Street Historic District (Burlington, Vermont)

The South Willard Street Historic District encompasses what was once the most fashionable residential area of Burlington, Vermont. Located along South Willard Street between Pearl and Beech Streets, the architecturally heterogeneous area was in the 19th century home to major estates of the city's business leaders, and has since been infilled with a variety of late 19th and early 20th century architecture. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Decker Towers is an 11-floor apartment building at 230 St. Paul Street in Burlington, Vermont. At 124 feet (38 m) tall, it is the tallest building in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is the shortest of any of the US states' tallest buildings, in part because Burlington is the smallest of the US states' biggest cities. Decker Towers was built as a turnkey project. After Pizzagalli Construction Company built it in October 29, 1970-August 31, 1971, the city of Burlington purchased it. It is owned and managed as public housing by the Burlington Housing Authority. Its assessed value is $11,104,000, with the building, land, and yard items valued at $10,224,700; $712,900; and $166,400, respectively.

The Winterbotham Estate is a historic former estate property at 163 South Willard Street in Burlington, Vermont. Developed beginning about 1820, it is a prominent local example of a Federal period country estate, with many later additions. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, at which time it housed the city's school administration. It now houses administrative offices of Champlain College, and is called Skiff Hall.

Champlain College is a private college in Burlington, Vermont. Founded in 1878, Champlain offers on-campus undergraduate and online undergraduate courses through Champlain College Online, along with online certificate and degree programs and master's degree programs, in more than 80 subject areas. Champlain enrolls 2,200 undergraduate students on its Burlington, Vermont campus from 44 states and 17 countries.

The Wells-Jackson Carriage House Complex is a well-preserved complex of estate outbuildings at 192-194 Jackson Court and 370 Maple Street in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Built in 1901 as part of a larger estate, the complex includes a carriage house, tack house, and coachman's quarters of a quality unrivaled in the state. Obsoleted by the advent of the automobile, the buildings have been converted to residential use. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Burlington Memorial Auditorium is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena, in Burlington, Vermont. It was built in 1927 (Frank Lyman Austin, architect), and is operated by the Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation. As a convention center, it offers 20,000 square feet (1,900 m2) of space. The main space contains a 27-by-80-foot proscenium stage. The building also has two smaller event spaces.It was also used for concerts, conventions, trade shows, graduations, pro wrestling and other special events. Such artists as Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel have performed here.It was one of the homes of the Vermont Frost Heaves, formerly of the PBL.In July 2016, the structure was deemed structurally unsafe for use or occupancy by the city engineer, requiring the two groups leasing it (the 242 Main youth center and Burlington City Arts Project) to move out.

The Old Chittenden County Courthouse was a historic government building at 180 Church Street in downtown Burlington, the county seat of Chittenden County, Vermont. Built in 1872, it was a richly decorated example of Second Empire architecture, occupying a prominent position in the city's civic nucleus, which also included Burlington City Hall and the United States Post Office and Custom House. It served as the county courthouse until it was destroyed by fire on February 9, 1982. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and removed from the register in 2016.

The Chittenden County Superior Courthouse, formerly the U.S. Post Office and Custom House, is a historic government building at 175 Main Street in downtown Burlington, Vermont. It was built in 1906 and was designed by James Knox Taylor in the Beaux-Arts style. Known in the 1970s as the Smith-Goldberg U.S. Army Reserve Center, it served historically as a custom house and post office. It currently houses the Chittenden County Superior Court, after the previous county courthouse burned down in 1982.

Five Sisters is a historic neighborhood in the South End of Burlington, Vermont. There are approximately 300 homes on the neighborhood's five streets which were completed in the late 19th and early 20th century. According to local legend, these streets were named after the developer's five daughters, though local historians can neither confirm nor deny such rumors. In 2006, the Five Sisters neighborhood was named to the "top ten" neighborhoods in the United States by Cottage Living magazine.

The Edward Wells House is a historic house at 61 Summit Street in Burlington, Vermont. Built in 1891–92 for the president of a patent medicine maker, it is one of the city's finest examples of Queen Anne Victorian architecture executed in brick and stone. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The house was for many years home to the Delta Psi fraternity; is now owned by the University of Vermont.
