German Museum of Technology

The Anhalter Steg is a footbridge over the Landwehr Canal between the Möckern and Schoneberg Bridges, in Kreuzberg, on the southern side of Berlin city centre. Opened in February 2001, it links the German Museum of Technology with the Hallesches Ufer. It rests on the foundations of the railway bridge leading south from the Anhalter Bahnhof, which was destroyed by bombing in World War II. The Senate of Berlin laid plans for a cycle and footbridge on the site during the 1980s, but it was not built until the necessary €1.5m were made available by DaimlerChrysler Immobilien GmbH in exchange for permission to develop Potsdamer Platz. The bridge was designed by the Berlin architect Benedict Tonon. It consists of three sections, each 25 metres long. The central arch, of riveted cast iron, is salvaged from the Marschallbrücke, which was rebuilt in the 1990s. The concrete piers are clad in Berlin's traditional yellow clinker brick. In a nod to railway history, the concrete cap of the northern pier reads 'Berlin' and the southern 'Anhalt'.

Gleisdreieck is an elevated Berlin U-Bahn station located on a viaduct in the Kreuzberg district, and served by lines U1, U2, and U3. The U1/U3 platform is at a higher level than, and perpendicular to, that of the U2.

The Dresdner Bahnhof was a short-lived passenger railway terminus in Berlin, Germany, operating from 1875 to 1882 and handling train services to and from Dresden over the Berlin–Dresden railway.

The Tempodrom (also referred to as Neues Tempodrom) is a multi-purpose event venue in Berlin. Founded by Irene Moessinger, it opened in 1980 next to the Berlin Wall on the west side of Potsdamer Platz, housed in a large circus tent. After several changes of location it is now housed in a permanent building in the Kreuzberg neighborhood.

Möckernbrücke is a station of the Berlin U-Bahn network in the western Kreuzberg district, in the vicinity of Potsdamer Platz, named after a nearby bridge crossing the Landwehrkanal. It is served by lines U1, U3, and U7.

Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park is a Berlin U-Bahn station on line U2, located in the Tiergarten district at the border with Kreuzberg. Opened in 1998, the station is named after a small park east of the building, itself named in honor of the composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, commonly known as Felix Mendelssohn. Though it is one of the newest stations on the U-Bahn, it is located on the first Stammstrecke line of 1902, where its northern branch crosses the Landwehr Canal on a viaduct and passes north through part of the Scandic Hotel before heading underground towards Potsdamer Platz. With the building of the Berlin Wall on 13 August 1961, train service was interrupted, and for a brief time in 1991 the tracks served for the experimental M-Bahn maglev line, stopping at Bernburger Straße station slightly to the north. Following reunification, the M-Bahn was removed to allow the U2 to be reinstated. The line was reopened on 13 November 1993, but the station was not opened until 2 October 1998. The station has disabled access, with lifts at the southern entrance.

The Anhalter Bahnhof is a former railway terminus in Berlin, Germany, approximately 600 m (2,000 ft) southeast of Potsdamer Platz. Once one of Berlin's most important railway stations, it was severely damaged in World War II, and finally closed for traffic in 1952, when the GDR-owned Deutsche Reichsbahn rerouted all railway traffic between Berlin and places in the GDR avoiding the West Berlin area. The station's name lives on in the Berlin S-Bahn station of the same name, opened in October 1939 as part of the North-South S-Bahn link.

The Stern Conservatory (Stern'sches Konservatorium) was a private music school in Berlin with many distinguishded tutors and alumni. The school is now part of Berlin University of the Arts.

The Meistersaal is a historic concert hall in Berlin, Germany. Built in 1910 as a chamber music concert hall, the building today enjoys protected building status. It is located in Berlin-Mitte near Potsdamer Platz. Its major claim to fame stems from the times when it was Studio 2 of Hansa Tonstudio. Since the 1990s, the Meistersaal has found use as a location for all manner of events.

Hansa Tonstudio is a recording studio located in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, Germany. The studio, famous for its Meistersaal recording hall, is situated approximately 150 metres from the former Berlin Wall, giving rise to its former nicknames of "Hansa Studio by the Wall" or "Hansa by the Wall".The Meistersaal has been fully restored and is now used for concerts and other events as well as recording.

Europahaus (English: House of Europe) is a large high-rise office block in Berlin, Germany, located in the Kreuzberg district on Stresemannstraße, facing the remains of the former Anhalter Bahnhof railway terminus across Askanischer Platz. It was one of the first modern high-rise office buildings to be constructed in the city.
