The Embassy Theatre is a theatre at 64, Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage, London.

The Hampstead Conservatoire was a private college for music and the arts at 64, Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage, London.The building, previously the Eton Avenue Hall, was reconstructed in 1890. It was equipped with a large pipe organ, built ca. 1887-8 by the London firm of Henry Willis & Sons with forty-three stops spread over four manuals and pedals. The hey-day of the conservatoire was 1896 - 1905, when its Principal was Cecil Sharp. Arnold Bax was one of its pupils between 1898 and 1900. It was also notable for an early and celebrated production of Dido and Aeneas in 1900 by Martin Shaw and Gordon Craig.The organ was removed and transferred to St Peter's Parish Church, Brighton in 1910. The conservatoire had closed by 1928 when the building was converted into the Embassy Theatre. The building is now part of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama

It lies in Travelcard Zone 2 and is located at the junction of Finchley Road, Avenue Road and College Crescent. The station is a local station, with the Metropolitan Line bypassing the station nearby.

Swiss Cottage is a disused London Underground station in Swiss Cottage, north-west London. It was opened in 1868 as the northern terminus of the Metropolitan and St. John's Wood Railway (M&StJWR), the first northward branch extension from Baker Street of the Metropolitan Railway (now the Metropolitan line). Subsequent to the opening of a new Swiss Cottage station, which was served initially by the Bakerloo line and is now on the Jubilee line, this Metropolitan line Swiss Cottage station was closed in 1940.

Swiss Cottage lies 3.25 miles (5.23 km) north-northwest of Charing Cross. The area was named after a public house in the centre of it, known as "Ye Olde Swiss Cottage".

South Hampstead is part of the London Borough of Camden in inner north London. It is commonly defined as the area between West End Lane in the west, the Chiltern Main Line (south), Broadhurst Gardens north and north-west followed by a non-road line demarcating the south slopes of Hampstead village, west of Belsize Park, and north and west of the usually narrowly defined Swiss Cottage neighbourhood. The Hampstead Figure is an abstract bronze sculpture by F. E. McWilliam. It was commissioned by Basil Spence and was completed in 1964 for the new Hampstead Civic Centre. It was moved in 2019 to its present location on the Adelaide Road side of the Swiss Cottage Library.The sculpture represents a reclining female figure in abstract form in bronze. It is sited on a plinth. It is inscribed "The Hampstead Figure, 1964" and signed by McWilliam.The National Heritage List for England listing describes it as forming a "close and complementary grouping" with the civic buildings, which include the Swiss Cottage Library.The Hampstead Figure was listed at Grade II on the National Heritage List for England in August 1999.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health trust based in north London. The Trust specialises in talking therapies. The education and training department caters for 2,000 students a year from the United Kingdom and abroad. The Trust is based at the Tavistock Centre in Swiss Cottage. The founding organisation was the Tavistock institute of medical psychology founded in 1920 by Dr. Hugh Crichton-Miller.The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust was formed in 1994, when the Tavistock Clinic merged with the neighbouring Portman Clinic in Fitzjohn's Avenue. The Portman specialises in areas of forensic psychiatry, including the treatment of addictive, sociopathic and criminal behaviours and tendencies.It has developed as a centre of excellence for psychoanalysis within the NHS since being included at its founding in 1948. The Trust and predecessor organisations have been influential beyond medicine, including in the British Army, management consultancy, prison and probation services.

The NHS Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) is a nationally operated health clinic specialising in working with children with gender identity issues, including gender dysphoria. Although based at a Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust site, it is commissioned by NHS England and takes referrals from across the United Kingdom. It is the only gender identity clinic for people under 18 in the UK and is the subject of much controversy.
