Alburgh (formerly Alburg) is a town in Grand Isle County, Vermont, United States, founded in 1781 by Ira Allen. The population was 2,106 at the 2020 United States Census. Alburgh is on the Alburgh Tongue, a peninsula extending from Canada into Lake Champlain, and lies on the only road-based route across Lake Champlain to New York state north of Addison, Vermont.

Alburgh is a village within the town of the same name in Grand Isle County, Vermont, United States. The population was 571 at the 2020 census. The town's name came from the person primarily responsible for chartering the community, Ira Allen.

The Alburgh–Noyan Border Crossing connects the villages of Noyan, Quebec with Alburgh, Vermont on the Canada–US border. It is reached by Vermont Route 225 on the American side and by Quebec Route 225 on the Canadian side. The Noyan/Alburgh port of entry is single building that houses both the US and Canada border inspection agencies, the first of five such facilities. While the two nations' agents work separately, they share the kitchen but have they have own cell. In the kitchen, they used to share the same refrigerator but now they have their respective refrigerator. In the middle of the building, there is 2 large door with two marks for the official border line marks. Canadian officers are often called for French translation to help their US coworkers. It is the only crossing east of the Great Lakes that features a joint border inspection station. It was built in 1987, one of just two created prior to the 1995 Canada-United States Accord on Our Shared Border. Note that CBP currently (and historically) spells the border station "Alburg", while the municipality changed its spelling to "Alburgh" in 2006.

East Alburgh (also known as East Alburg and Alburg Junction) is a populated place in Grand Isle County in the U.S. state of Vermont. It was formerly the location of the interchange between New England Central Railroad and Canadian National.

North Hero State Park is a 399-acre day use state park on Lake Champlain in North Hero, Vermont. It is a stop on the Lake Champlain Paddlers' Trail. Activities includes swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking, bicycling, wildlife watching, and winter sports. There is a flush toilet at the beach area, a concrete boat ramp, and picnic area. The park used to host camping, but that has been discontinued.

The Alburg Springs–Clarenceville Border Crossing connects the villages of Clarenceville, Quebec and Alburgh, Vermont on the Canada–United States border. The border crossing is open daily between 8:00 AM and 4:00 pm. Canada built a new border inspection station in 2005, while the US continues to use its Depression-era border station, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge is a National Wildlife Refuge in the U.S. state of Vermont located on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain and the southern side of Missisquoi Bay. The refuge is in Franklin County in the northwest corner of the state near the International Boundary with Canada. The refuge was established on February 4, 1943, under the authority of the Migratory Bird Conservation Act. The initial acquisition was 1,582 acres (6.4 km2) of land in the Missisquoi River delta, including Shad Island and Big Marsh Slough. Additional land is acquired from willing sellers. The refuge's current size is 7,232 acres (27 km2). It was designated a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance in 2013. It is the only National Wildlife Refuge located entirely in Vermont and is administered by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. It is located in the towns of Swanton and Highgate with satellite units in Derby, Vermont and Westville, New York.

The Missisquoi River is a transboundary river of the east shore of Lake Champlain (via Missisquoi Bay), approximately 80 miles (130 km) long, in northern Vermont in the United States and southern Quebec in Canada. It drains a rural area of the northern Green Mountains along the Canada–US border northeast of Lake Champlain, and an area of Quebec's Eastern Townships. The South Branch rises in Vermont and runs generally from southeast to northwest; the North Branch rises in Lake d'Argent in Eastman, Quebec, and runs from north to south. The North Branch and the South Branch join at Highwater, Quebec, just downriver from North Troy, Vermont. The river then runs in Quebec for approximately 15 miles (24 km), re-entering Vermont at Richford and thence to Lake Champlain's Missisquoi Bay.

Missisquoi Bay is a large extension in the northern part of Lake Champlain, at the East of the output of the latter in Richelieu River. It takes the form of a violin head, with the neck extending from the head of the lake and is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) in diameter. The bay is divided between Quebec in Canada and Vermont in the United States. The main town on its banks is Venise-en-Québec, a major summer resort. The river of the same name flows into the bay and the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge is located on the American side.

The Memorial United Methodist Church is a historic church in the village of Swanton, Vermont. Built in 1895, it is an architecturally distinctive example of Queen Anne architecture executed in brick. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church also known as Holy Trinity Memorial Church is an historic Episcopal church building located at 38 Grand Avenue in the village of Swanton, Franklin County, Vermont. Built in 1876 and expanded in 1909-10, the church facilities include a fine example of the Carpenter Gothic in the older section (now the parish hall), and the Late Victorian Gothic Revival in the newer section. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Parish of the Holy Trinity in 2001. The church is an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont; its current rector is the Rev. Reid D. Farrell.

The Swanton School is a historic school building at 53 Church Street in the village of Swanton, Vermont. Built in 1912, it served first as a primary school and then a high school, until its closure in 1993. A high quality example of Colonial Revival architecture, it has been converted into senior housing. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
