Rouses Point Seaplane Base (IATA: RSX, FAA LID: K21) is a public use seaplane base located on the Richelieu River in Rouses Point, a village in Clinton County, New York, United States.

Rouses Point station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Rouses Point, New York, served by the single daily round trip of the Adirondack. The station building is a former Delaware and Hudson Railway constructed in 1889, with a one low-level side platform on the east side of the track. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 as Rouses Point Railroad Station.

The Rouses Point - Lacolle 223 Border Crossing connects the towns of Lacolle, Quebec and Rouses Point, New York on the Canada–US border. The crossing is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Because the municipality of Lacolle, Quebec has two border crossings, CBSA calls this one 223 to indicate it is the crossing on Quebec Route 223. (The other crossing is the Overton Corners–Lacolle 221 Border Crossing immediately to the west.) Historically, it was called Cantic, a local village name that is no longer used. During the era of Prohibition in the United States, it was a very popular border crossing. U.S. Route 11, which connects to the crossing, was among only a few paved roads at that time, and the US Customs office was not located at the border as it is today. Travelers were expected to drive into the village of Rouses Point to report for inspection and make declarations. Those involved in smuggling rarely reported, so the United States Customs Service moved to construct a border station. By the time the station was completed (which is still in use today), Prohibition had been repealed. In 2014 the U.S. border inspection station was part of a group in several states along both borders added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Fort Montgomery on Lake Champlain is the second of two United States forts built at the northernmost point of the United States part of the lake: a first, unnamed fort had been built on the same site in 1816 but had been disassembled after engineers realised they were building on Canadian territory. Following the realignment of the border in 1842, a second fortification named Fort Montgomery was built on the same site in 1844. The current stone fortification, the second fort, was built between 1844 and 1871 at the Canada–US border of Lake Champlain at Island Point in the village of Rouses Point, New York.

The Windmill Point Light in Vermont is the northernmost lighthouse on Lake Champlain. Extinguished for seventy years, it was reactivated in 2002 to replace the skeleton tower erected next to it. It is named after the Windmill Point peninsula, where it is located.

The Overton Corners–Lacolle 221 Border Crossing connects the towns of Lacolle, Quebec to Champlain, New York on the Canada–United States border. This crossing is open from 6:00 AM until 22:00, 365 days per year. Because the village of Lacolle, Quebec has two border crossings, this one is called 221 to indicate it is the crossing on Quebec Route 221. The other crossing is the Rouses Point–Lacolle 223 Border Crossing immediately to the east. Conversely, the US Border station is sometimes called 276 because it is located on New York State Route 276. During the era of Prohibition in the United States, this crossing was one of the busiest on the US-Canada border. The roads leading to it in both the US and Canada were in good condition and was a popular route for traffic traveling between Montreal and New York City. During that era, it was common for large queues of southbound traffic to build up approaching US Customs, as people attempted to smuggle alcohol into the United States. In 2014 the brick Georgian Revival inspection station on the U.S. side was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, along with other similar border inspection stations in New York and elsewhere along the Canadian and Mexican borders.

Fort au Fer was a British fort, established in 1775 on Lake Champlain, New York approximately 1 mile south of Rouses Point. It was occupied by General John Burgoyne during his Saratoga campaign in 1777, and remained in British hands until 1796, following the 1794 Jay Treaty. The fort started as a large two floor stone house (The White House) in 1770. Along with more brick barracks and a stockade, it was fortified with entrenchments and cannon in 1775. The fort was destroyed by fire in 1805. A historic markers near the site are located at 548 Point au Fer Road, at the intersection with Scales Road and 534 Point au Fer Road. Richard Scales home built in 1809 is the site of the old fort.

Odelltown is a former town in southern Quebec, Canada located on Route 221, 4.7 km (2.9 mi) south of Lacolle, Quebec. The settlement was named after Joseph Odell, a United Empire Loyalist and Founder Pioneer of the Odell Family in Odelltown, Province of Lower Canada (now Quebec, Canada). The hamlet has since been made part of Lacolle. The area was the scene of a battle on 28 June 1814 during the War of 1812 between American and British forces. It resulted in a British victory. Odelltown was also the scene of two engagements between rebels and loyalists during the Lower Canada Rebellion between 7 November 1838 and 9 November 1838. Both engagements resulted in loyalist victories.

The Battle of Odelltown was fought on November 9, 1838, between Loyal volunteer forces under Lewis Odell and Charles McAllister and Patriote rebels under Robert Nelson, Médard Hébert and Charles Hindelang. The rebels were defeated in this battle, one of the last of the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1838.

Coopersville (formerly, Corbeau, Cooperville and Moore's Mills) is a hamlet in Clinton County, New York, United States. Coopersville lies at an elevation of 112 feet (34 m). Most of the first settlers of this area were refugees from Canada who either did not support the British during the American Revolution, or actually took up arms against the British. Many of these had been soldiers in the French army from "The Old French War", (The French and Indian War).
