Radeberger Group

Binding-Brauerei is a brewery in Frankfurt am Main. The brewery was founded by Conrad Binding in 1870 and since 1953 is included in Dr. Oetker group. Until 2002, the Oetker Group's beverage division was called Binding-Gruppe, but is now called Radeberger Group. Binding includes labels such as Binding Adler-Pils, Clausthaler, Henninger, Voice and Schöfferhofer. The United States branch of the brewery is located in Norwalk, Connecticut.During the 1960s and 1970s, Binding expanded considerably through the purchase of smaller breweries in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and northern Baden. As a rule, these breweries were dropped but two of them remain as the Clausthaler and Schöfferhofer brands.

Henninger Turm (Henninger Tower) was a grain storage silo located in the Sachsenhausen-Süd district of Frankfurt, Germany. It was built by Henninger Brewery (now part of the Binding Brewery/Radeberger Group) and had a storage capacity of 16,000 tons of barley. The 120 m (390 ft), 33-storey, reinforced concrete tower was designed by Karl Lieser and was built from 1959 to 1961. It was inaugurated on 18 May 1961. It was demolished in 2013. Until 1974 it was the tallest building in Frankfurt; and it remained the tallest storage silo in the world until its demolition. On top of the building was a barrel-like pod which contained a viewing platform and a revolving restaurant (originally two). On October 2002, the tower was closed to the public. From 1961 to 2008, the annual professional cycling race Rund um den Henninger-Turm was held on 1 May, the course circling the tower multiple times.

St. Wendel is the name of a Catholic parish and church in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen, Hesse, Germany, dedicated to Wendelin of Trier. The official name of the church is Kath. St. Wendelskirche. It was built from 1955 to 1957, designed by architect Johannes Krahn.

Frankfurt (Main) Süd (German for Frankfurt (Main) South) or Frankfurt Südbahnhof is one of three railway stations for long-distance train services in Frankfurt, Germany. Unlike Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof it is not a terminus but a through station, and has nine tracks with five platforms. It is a stopping station for some long-distance routes (ICE, IC) and for regional traffic (Regional-Express and RegionalBahn). It is also one of the major rapid-transit railway hubs in the city with S-Bahn and U-Bahn services.

Frankfurt Lokalbahnhof is an underground S-Bahn station in the district of Sachsenhausen of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The station was opened when the City Tunnel was extended to Frankfurt South station in 1990. It consists of two tracks, surrounding a central platform. The station is an important public transport interchange and is served by S-Bahn, tram and bus routes. The S-Bahn station is located underground, while the trams and buses run on the surface. The station is named after the old Lokalbahnhof, the terminus of the former Frankfurt-Offenbach Local Railway (German: Frankfurt-Offenbacher Lokalbahn), which served the neighbourhood from 1848 until 1955, with breaks at the end of World War I and II. Its terminus in Frankfurt was called the Lokalbahnhof (literally: "Local Railway station"). In 1990, the S-Bahn station was built about 250 metres south of the site of the historic Lokalbahnhof and the modern Lokalbahnhof tram stop. It is on the City Tunnel S-Bahn line that runs south from central Frankfurt and continues southeast towards Frankfurt South station.

The Noor Mosque (German: Nuur-Moschee; Noor = Light) in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen is the third purpose-built mosque in Germany. The mosque in Babenhäuser Landstraße is run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ) and was inaugurated on September, 12th 1959 by Sir Muhammad Zafrulla Khan. Before the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1985 bought the „Nasir Bagh“ in Groß-Gerau, the annual gathering Jalsa Salana in Germany was celebrated in this mosque. This mosque is well known for being the one that the heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali prayed within once.

The Regional Authority of Frankfurt Rhein-Main is the cooperation body of the administratively fragmented Frankfurt am Main urban area and the common authority for Frankfurt am Main and its 75 neighboring communities. It manages and coordinates the regional development of Frankfurt am Main and its suburbs. It also represents the Frankfurt urban area nationally and internationally and is responsible for the strategic alignment of the local decision-making, for the development of a common regional image and an improved regional harmonisation. The authority draws up and updates the regional preparatory land use plans, local development and zoning plans, and carries out an intensive regional monitoring to coordinate the development of the urban region.

The Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region, often simply referred to as Frankfurt Rhine-Main, Frankfurt Rhine-Main area or Rhine-Main area (German: Rhein-Main-Gebiet or Frankfurt/Rhein-Main, abbreviated FRM), is the second-largest metropolitan region in Germany after Rhine-Ruhr, with a total population exceeding 5.8 million. The metropolitan region is located in the central-western part of Germany, and stretches over parts of three German states: Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Bavaria. The largest cities in the region are Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt, Offenbach, Worms, Hanau, and Aschaffenburg. The polycentric region is named after its core city, Frankfurt, and the two rivers Rhine and Main. The Frankfurt Rhine-Main area is officially designated as a European Metropolitan region by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs and covers an area of roughly 13,000 square kilometers (5,000 sq mi).

Frankfurt (Main) Mühlberg station is an underground Rhine-Main S-Bahn station on the Frankfurt City Tunnel in the Frankfurt district of Sachsenhausen in the German state of Hesse. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. It was opened with the eastern part of the City Tunnel (which is called the Frankfurt–Mühlberg tunnel), which was opened in 1992 as the last section of the City Tunnel. It consists of two tracks on either side of an island platform. The escalators down to the platform are located on Offenbacher Landstraße.

The Deutschordenskirche (often shortened to Deutschorden) in Frankfurt am Main is a Roman-Catholic church in the district of Sachsenhausen. Unlike most historical churches in Frankfurt's city-center which are owned by the city of Frankfurt, Deutschorden is property of the Teutonic Order which maintains it as part of its convent at Frankfurt. Next to the Deutschordenskirche is the Deutschordenshaus, an attached former convent-building.

Sachsenhausen-Nord and Sachsenhausen-Süd are two quarters of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The division into a northern and a southern part is mostly for administrative purposes as Sachsenhausen is generally considered a single entity. Both city districts are part of the Ortsbezirk Süd. As a whole, Sachsenhausen is the largest district by population and area in Frankfurt. It is located south of the Main river and borders the districts of Niederrad and Flughafen to the west and Oberrad to the east. Sachsenhausen-Süd is mostly comprised by the Frankfurt City Forest. Sachsenhausen was founded as Frankfurt's bridgehead in the 12th century. The oldest documents point to the year 1193. Unlike Frankfurt's own historic city center, which burned to the ground after British bombing in 1944, Sachsenhausen's old town is partly preserved. The Frankfurt youth hostel is located on its riverside. The population of Sachsenhausen is 55,422. The River Main embankment hosts the city's largest flea market and some of Germany's best-known museums; it is also called the Museum Embankment (or Museumsufer). Here it is where the annual Museum-Embankment-Festival / Night of the Museums (or Museumsuferfest / Nacht der Museen), with all museums open throughout the night and discounted entrance fees as well as many open-air events in the streets, is held. Sachsenhausen is known for its vibrant nightlife sporting over two dozen bars, taverns and restaurants in the southern part's old town. The main street of Sachsenhausen is Schweizer Straße, a cosmopolitan boulevard with bars and two of Frankfurt's most traditional cider houses, Zum gemalten Haus and Wagner. Ciderhouses that produce their own 'Apfelwein' (applewine) can be identified by the presence of a wreath of evergreen branches hanging outside the location or a similar image included on their signpost. The Textorstraße and the old town or 'Altstadt' have the best known ciderhouses in Frankfurt, but such pubs can be found all over southern Hesse. Orchards of the Sperling apple can be seen across the countryside and, reputedly, local law requires that Apfelwein be the cheapest alcoholic beverage on sale in any public house. In addition, there is a brand new part of Sachsenhausen, built on the grounds of the old slaughterhouse area. Try to find the area from Deutschherrnufer numbered between 40 and 50. The area is located directly opposite the new seat of the European Central Bank on the other side of the river. Landmarks of Sachsenhausen are the Henninger Turm and the Goetheturm. Sachsenhausen is also the location of the Sankt Georgen Graduate School of Philosophy and Theology.

The Dreikönigskirche (English: Church of the Three Kings) is a Lutheran Protestant church and parish in Frankfurt, the city's largest Protestant parish. It is located on the south bank of the Main in Sachsenhausen, opposite the Frankfurt Cathedral. The present church building, replacing an older church, was erected from 1875 to 1880 on designs by Franz Josef Denzinger in Gothic revival style. It features stained glass windows by Charles Crodel, installed in 1956, and an organ by Karl Schuke from Berlin completed in 1961. After World War II, the church developed into a centre of church music, with Kurt Thomas as the church musician and Helmut Walcha as the organist. It offers cantata services and concerts. The church is a listed monument, basically preserved as originally designed.
