Seal Rock is an unincorporated coastal community in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States, between Newport and Waldport on U.S. Route 101. The community of Seal Rock is named for the Seal Rocks, a ledge of partially submerged rocks that parallel the shore for about 2.5 miles (4.0 km). In Chinook Jargon the area was called Seal Illahe, meaning "seal place" or "seal home", while "Seal Rocks" is what the locality was called in pioneer times, when it was an early resort community. The name "Seal Rock" appears to refer to the one large rock, about 20 feet (6.1 m) above water, that was formerly where hundreds of common seals and Steller sea lions would rest.Seal Rock was the terminus of the Corvallis & Yaquina Bay Wagon Road, which was the first road to reach the Oregon Coast from the Willamette Valley. The town of Seal Rock was platted in 1887 and three blocks of hotels were built, but development lagged and the assets of the road company were transferred to the promoter of the Oregon Pacific Railway, T. Egenton Hogg. Seal Rock post office was established in 1890.Seal Rock is also the name of an address-restricted archaeological site in the vicinity that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Driftwood Beach State Recreation Site is a state park administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department in the U.S. state of Oregon. Located 3 miles (5 km) north of Waldport along the Pacific Ocean, the park offers beach access, picnicking, and fishing in a setting of shore pines and sand. It is fee-free and open year-round.The 36.7-acre (14.9 ha) park between U.S. Highway 101 and the ocean has parking spaces from which visitors can watch winter-storm surf without leaving their cars. A path leads from the bluff to a wide beach with driftwood along the high-tide line. Kite flyers and beachcombers frequent the beach in sunny weather. The Oregon Coast Trail for long-distance hikers passes through the park.It was used as a filming location for the upcoming 2023 film adaptation of the stage musical version of The Color Purple.

Newport Municipal Airport (IATA: ONP, ICAO: KONP, FAA LID: ONP) is a city-owned, public-use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Newport, a city in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.Newport Municipal formerly supported commercial passenger service with connections to Portland International Airport (PDX), but no such flights are currently scheduled. SeaPort Airlines discontinued service to Newport in July 2011. As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 1,999 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2009 and 3,027 enplanements in 2010.

Bayshore is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in southern Lincoln County, bordered to the south by Alsea Bay and to the west by the Pacific Ocean. The city of Waldport is to the south across Alsea Bay. U.S. Route 101 passes through Bayshore, leading north 14 miles (23 km) to Newport, the Lincoln county seat, and south through Waldport 10 miles (16 km) to Yachats.

Of the 17 community colleges in Oregon, only Klamath Community College is younger, and only Tillamook Bay Community College has fewer students.

The Red River is a stream approximately 1 mile (2 km) long in Lincoln County in the northwestern U.S. state of Oregon. It rises south of downtown Waldport and flows through the city to meet the Alsea River near the larger river's mouth on the Pacific Ocean.
