Aldreth

Haddenham is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 3,228. The 2011 census reported a population of 3,344, a figure which includes the hamlet of Aldreth.

Haddenham railway station was a station in Haddenham, Cambridgeshire. It was first opened in 1866 by the Ely, Haddenham and Sutton Railway. It closed to passengers in 1931 through it continued to be served by occasional passenger excursion trains until 1958 and goods trains until full closure in 1964. The station was one of the main goods yards on the line and featured a single platform, signal box, through goods shed and a number of sidings.

Sutton or Sutton-in-the-Isle is a village and civil parish in the county of Cambridgeshire in England, near the city of Ely. The "in-the-Isle" suffix refers to the fact that the village is part of the Isle of Ely, once an island in the Fens and also an administrative county until 1965. The village location on the high ground of the Isle of Ely provides commanding views across the surrounding low-lying fens.

Doghouse Grove is a 0.8-hectare (2.0-acre) nature reserve in Wilburton in Cambridgeshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.In the medieval period this was a series of monastic fishponds, which can still be seen in wetter periods. It is now an ash wood, with flowers including bluebells and lords-and-ladies.There is access by a permissive footpath from Twenty Pence Road.

Cottenham is a village in Cambridgeshire, England. Cottenham is one of the larger villages surrounding the city of Cambridge, located around five miles north of the city. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 6,095. Cottenham is one of a number of villages that make up the historical Fen Edge region in between Cambridge and Ely, which were originally settlements on the shore of the marshes close to the city of Cambridge, then an inland port.

Willingham is a village in Cambridgeshire, England. It is located in the South Cambridgeshire district and sits just outside the border of the Fens, just south of the River Great Ouse. Located approximately 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Cambridge, on the B1050 road, Willingham Parish occupies 4,641 acres (1,878 ha), and had a population in 2007 of 3,900 people, increasing to 4,015 at the Census 2011. The highest point in the village is only approximately 23 feet (7 m) above sea level and Willingham has become increasingly at risk from flooding.

Rampton Castle, known locally as Giant's Hill, is the earthwork remains of a motte and bailey castle in Rampton, Cambridgeshire. It is believed that the castle was constructed during The Anarchy by the forces of King Stephen to contain the revolt of Geoffrey de Mandeville. The castle was not completed; construction was probably halted by de Mandeville's death at nearby Burwell Castle in 1144. Sited near to the churchyard of All Saints' Church, the castle is thought to have been built over the eastern end of the medieval village.

The five villages in Fen Edge are Cottenham, Landbeach, Rampton, Waterbeach and Willingham. They are twinned with Avrillé in the Maine-et-Loire region of France. Fen Edge can also refer to any settlement in general on the Edge of The Fens, including Peterborough, Soham and Burwell amongst others.

Wilburton is a small village of just over 1,000 inhabitants, situated in Cambridgeshire, England. It is 6 miles south west of Ely. While nominally an agricultural village, many of the inhabitants work in Cambridge, Ely or London.

Cottenham Village College is an academy school located in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, England. The school offers secondary education to pupils from the surrounding area. In addition, as part of Cambridgeshire's village college structure, Cottenham offers adult education courses and leisure facilities for the local community. Cottenham Village College and The Centre School were run by the Cottenham Academy Trust. However, the Trust was then taken over by the Astrea Academy Trust based in Sheffield. The CEO of Astrea is Libby Nicholas. Cottenham Village College primarily serves 11–16 year olds in the villages of Cottenham, Waterbeach and Willingham. The college is non-selective and takes students of all abilities, following the Local Authority's admission policy and procedures.
