The Grünewald (Luxembourgish: Gréngewald) is a forest in central Luxembourg, most of which is owned by the national government. Grünewald stretches through the communes of Niederanven, Steinsel, and Walferdange; the centre of the forest is situated 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north-east of central Luxembourg City. As a result of its proximity to Luxembourg's capital city, it is a popular destination for tourism, leisure, and hospitality. Within the Grünewald are the sources of the Black Ernz and the White Ernz.

Kinepolis Kirchberg is a multiplex cinema in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, owned and operated by the Kinepolis Group, following their acquisition of the Utopia Group SA in late 2015. Prior to this, the multiplex was known as "Utopolis Kirchberg". It is located on Avenue John F. Kennedy east of the Kirchberg District Centre in the Kirchberg quarter, in the north-east of the city. Originally opened in 1996, it has a total seating capacity of 2505, spread across ten screens, making it the largest cinema in the country.

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) is an intergovernmental organization located in Luxembourg City, which operates under public international law for all eurozone member states having ratified a special ESM intergovernmental treaty. It was established on 27 September 2012 as a permanent firewall for the eurozone, to safeguard and provide instant access to financial assistance programmes for member states of the eurozone in financial difficulty, with a maximum lending capacity of €500 billion. It has replaced two earlier temporary EU funding programmes: the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Financial Stabilisation Mechanism (EFSM).

Eurostat ('European Statistical Office'; DG ESTAT) is a Directorate-General of the European Commission located in the Kirchberg quarter of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Eurostat's main responsibilities are to provide statistical information to the institutions of the European Union (EU) and to promote the harmonisation of statistical methods across its member states and candidates for accession as well as EFTA countries. The organisations in the different countries that cooperate with Eurostat are summarised under the concept of the European Statistical System.

The Kirchberg District Centre (French: Centre de Quartier Kirchberg; German: Stadtteilzentrum Kirchberg) is a mixed-use building complex in northeastern Kirchberg, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg containing both an office complex and shopping mall, with their principal tenants respectively being the European Commission's statistical office, Eurostat, and an Auchan hypermarket. Those parts of the building dedicated to office use are collectively referred to as the "Joseph Bech building", after European Union (EU) pioneer and former Luxembourg prime minister, Joseph Bech. The complex's shopping gallery is referred to as the "Kirchberg Shopping Centre".

RTL Radio is a German commercial radio station based in Berlin and the part of the RTL Group. It originated as the German language service of Radio Luxembourg, which began broadcasting after World War II from Luxembourg. It broadcasts adult contemporary music nationally via cable, DAB+ satellite and internet and regionally via FM in Luxembourg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, eastern German-speaking Belgium, and Lorraine.

Findel is a village in the commune of Sandweiler, in southern Luxembourg. As of 2001, the village had a population of 103. Findel is dominated by Luxembourg Findel Airport, the only international airport in Luxembourg. It was at Findel that Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg returned to the country after its liberation at the end of World War II.

Eisenborn (Luxembourgish: Eesebur) is a village in the commune of Junglinster, in central Luxembourg. As of 2018, the village has a population of 147.

The National Library of Luxembourg (French: Bibliothèque nationale du Luxembourg; Luxembourgish: Nationalbibliothéik Lëtzebuerg; German: Nationalbibliothek Luxemburg), abbreviated as BnL, is Luxembourg's national library. It was founded in its current form in 1899, as a result of a series of different institutions originating in the 18th century. It is located in the Kirchberg district of Luxembourg City. The BnL is a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture.The BnL holds 1.8 million printed items, making it the largest library in Luxembourg. The library's collections include both print and digital documents, such as books, manuscripts, journals, newspapers, magazines, databases, maps, stamps, prints, drawings and scores by Luxembourgish composers. Roughly three quarters of its contents, particularly scientific resources, come from abroad.As a legal deposit library, the BnL receives copies of books and other printed and digital documents published in Luxembourg. It is also the country's national ISBN, ISSN, ISMN and ISNI agency.

Luxembourg Airport (IATA: LUX, ICAO: ELLX) is the main airport in Luxembourg. Previously called Luxembourg Findel Airport due to its location at Findel, it is Luxembourg's only international airport and is the only airport in the country with a paved runway. It is located 3.25 NM (6.02 km; 3.74 mi) east of Luxembourg City. In 2019, it handled 4.4 million passengers. It is a major cargo airport, ranking as Europe's fifth-busiest by cargo tonnage and the world's 28th-busiest in 2010. Luxair, Luxembourg's international airline, and cargo airline Cargolux have their head offices on the airport property.

Aeroflot Flight 343 (SU343/AFL343) (Russian: Рейс 343 Аэрофлота Reys 343 Aeroflota) was a passenger flight from Moscow-Sheremetyevo Airport to Jorge Chávez International Airport, on a stopover at Luxembourg-Findel International Airport, that veered off the runway on 29 September 1982, fatally injuring seven occupants. The Ilyushin Il-62M operating the flight suffered a mechanical failure.

Cargolux Flight 7933 was a cargo flight which was involved in a serious incident on 21 January 2010 in which, while landing, it collided with on a vehicle that was on an active runway. The vehicle suffered major damage while the aircraft had damage to a tire. Three investigations were launched into the incident, without a clear result.
