The Birmingham Union Workhouse was a workhouse on Western Road in Birmingham, England.

The Centre of the Earth is a purpose-built environmental education centre in Birmingham, England, run by the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

Winson Green railway station was a railway station in Birmingham, England, built by the London and North Western Railway on their Stour Valley Line in 1876. It served the Winson Green area of Birmingham. Showell's Dictionary of Birmingham, discussing railway accidents in the city, notes that: Mr. Pipkins, Stationmaster at Winson Green, was killed Jan. 2. 1877. but does not elaborate as to the circumstances.The station closed in 1957, although the Rugby–Birmingham–Stafford line loop from the West Coast Main Line still runs through the site of the station today. There is some evidence of the station on the ground today, as the two tracks running currently through the site of the station split at the location of an island platform. The station was not the only one to bear the name. Following the closure of Winson Green station, the nearby Soho and Winson Green station was renamed Winson Green in 1965. However it too was closed in 1972.

The Soho Loop is a 1.2-mile (2 km) section of the eighteenth-century Old BCN Main Line canal in Birmingham, England, about 1.2 miles (1.9 km) west of the city centre, which opened to traffic on 6 November 1769, and was bypassed in September 1827 by a straight 0.75-mile (1.2 km) section of the New BCN Main Line. Much of the 110 acres (45 ha) of enclosed land is occupied by the 49 acres (20 ha) of Birmingham's City Hospital, and the canal itself serves private residential moorings at Hockley Port Basin via a 310 yards (280 m) branch extending north-eastwards. This is all that remains of the former Soho Branch that once served Matthew Boulton's Soho Manufactory. There is pedestrian access to a tow path for the entire length of the outside of the loop, which skirts the southern boundary of Winson Green Prison and twice passes underneath the Stour Valley Railway. The Centre of the Earth environmental education centre is adjacent to the canal and has a long wharf frontage.

Icknield Port Road railway station was a railway station in England, built by the Harborne Railway and operated by the London and North Western Railway in 1874.It served the Summerfield area of Birmingham and, from 1897, was located near to the junction of Icknield Port Road and Gillott Road. Prior to that it had been between Icknield Port Road and Barford Rd, but the platform became too short when trains were lengthened.The station closed in 1931, and there is little evidence of the station on the ground today. The trackbed through the station is now part of the Harborne Nature Walk.

The Icknield Port Loop (originally the Rotton Park Loop) is a 0.6-mile (1 km) loop of the eighteenth-century-built Old BCN Main Line canal in Birmingham, England, about 2 miles (3 km) west of the city centre, which opened to traffic on 6 November 1769 and in some definitions includes its straighter bypass built in September 1827, a 550-yard (500 m) section of the New BCN Main Line. Most of the 56 acres (23 ha) of land thereby enclosed is derelict meaning the canal serves the Canal & River Trust (British Waterways) maintenance depot at Icknield Port and conveys water from Edgbaston Reservoir to the BCN Main Line. The enclosed land has no pedestrian or vehicular access. Icknield Port (Loop) takes its name from the Roman Icknield Street which passed nearby, the exact route of which is unknown. The Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterways) depot with its buildings and crane are Grade II listed buildings.

HM Prison Birmingham is a Category B men's prison in the Winson Green area of Birmingham, England, operated by HM Prison and Probation Service.

Monument Lane railway station was a railway station in Birmingham, England, built by the London and North Western Railway on their Stour Valley Line in 1854. It served the Ladywood area of Birmingham, it was also the site of a large goods yard and a locomotive shed. In 1886, a new station was opened just north of the first station. The station closed in 1958, although the Rugby–Birmingham–Stafford line loop from the West Coast Main Line still runs through the site of the station today. Monument Lane goods yard was adjacent to the East, as was an engine shed with turntable. There is some evidence of the station on the ground today, as there is a gap in the tracks running currently through the site at the location of an island platform. There were calls for a new station to be built at this site to serve the International Convention Centre but this seems unlikely to happen owing to the Midland Metro extension now running to Centenary Square.

Soho Benson Road tram stop is a tram stop in Soho, Birmingham, England. It was opened on 31 May 1999 and is situated on West Midlands Metro Line 1. It is situated on the site of the old Soho and Winson Green railway station, which was closed in 1972. The Birmingham to Worcester railway line runs alongside, but the stop is served only by trams, as there are no railway platforms.

Dhamma Talaka Peace Pagoda was opened in Birmingham, UK in 1998 and is the only such building in traditional Burmese style in the Western hemisphere. On its grounds there are now a monastery and the teaching hall of a planned Buddhist Academy.
