Zahna

Elbaue-Fläming was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("administrative community") in the district of Wittenberg, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated on the right bank of the Elbe, north and east of Wittenberg. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Zahna. It was disbanded in January 2011. The Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Elbaue-Fläming consisted of the following municipalities (population in 2005 in brackets):

Bülzig is a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 July 2008, it is part of the town Zahna, which was absorbed into the new town Zahna-Elster on 1 January 2011.

From 1 January 2005 until January 2011 the municipality belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming, and before that to the administrative municipality of Mühlengrund.

Zörnigall is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2011, it is part of the town Zahna-Elster. It belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming.

From 1 January 2011 until 29 May 2013, it was also part of Zahna-Elster, but this was reverted by court decision. Previously the municipality belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming.

Zemnick is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2011, it is part of the town Zahna-Elster. It belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming.

The Fläming Heath is a region and hill chain that reaches over 100 km from the Elbe river to the Dahme River in the German states Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg. Its highest elevation is the Hagelberg (201 m). The name Fläming originates from the 12th century, when Flemish colonists came to settle in the region from the overcrowded cities of Flanders. The Fläming Heath is a rural area, which benefits from its proximity to the Berlin metropolitan area. Tourism became an important economic sector. With its three nature parks (High Fläming Nature Park, Fläming Nature Park, and Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park), the focus is on walking, cycling and recreation in nature. Another tourist attraction is Flaeming-Skate, which is one of the longest inline-skating tracks in Europe (190 km). The towns Ziesar, Bad Belzig, Niemegk, Treuenbrietzen, Jüterbog, Baruth/Mark, Dahme/Mark, Wittenberg, Loburg, Möckern, and Zerbst, as well as the municipalities Wiesenburg (Mark) and Rabenstein/Fläming, are situated in or at the border of the Fläming Heath.

Elster is a village and a former municipality in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany located in Wittenberg district. Since 1 January 2011, it is part of the town Zahna-Elster. From 2005 until 2011 it belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming, before 2005 it belonged to the administrative community of Elster-Seyda-Klöden.

Mochau is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2009, it is part of the town Wittenberg.
