Avinguda Meridiana (Catalan pronunciation: [əβiŋˈɡuðə məɾiðiˈanə]) is a major avenue in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, spanning parts of the Sant Andreu, Nou Barris and Sant Martí northern districts of the city. Originally planned by Ildefons Cerdà in 1859 to be one of the two most important thoroughfares in Barcelona, its actual role has not been exactly so but still has become a much transited route linking Parc de la Ciutadella with northern parts of Barcelona, crossing Plaça de les Glòries in its way, where it meets other two major avenues: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Avinguda Diagonal. It absorbs the traffic coming from the AP-7 motorway, which makes it a densely transited area. The avenue goes through the following neighbourhoods of Barcelona: El Clot, Navas, La Sagrera, Sant Andreu de Palomar, El Congrés i els Indians, Vilapicina, Porta, La Prosperitat, La Trinitat Nova, Trinitat Vella and Vallbona, largely working-class areas of the city.Architecturally, the area is blunt and lacking in aesthetic pretension, but includes a few significant apartment blocks such as the Meridiana tower blocks by Oriol Bohigas, Josep Maria Martorell and David Mackay. Avinguda Meridiana symbolizes instrumental urbanism, being little more than an urban motorway, and very different from Barcelona's main avenues and boulevards.On 19 June 1987, the Basque separatist group ETA planted a bomb in the basement of a Hipercor hypermarket in this avenue that killed 21 people. 41 were injured.

Sagrera railway station (Catalan: Estació de la Sagrera, Spanish: Estación de la Sagrera) is a major through station under construction in the Barcelona districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí, in Catalonia, Spain. It is intended to serve as the central station for northern and eastern Barcelona, with Sants serving as the central station for southern and western Barcelona. Together with El Prat de Llobregat and Sants, currently the only high-speed rail stations in the Barcelona area, it will be on the Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line. It will also be on the conventional Barcelona–Cerbère and Barcelona–Mataró–Maçanet-Massanes railways. Once fully completed, it will be a major public transport hub, with dedicated stations on Barcelona Metro lines 4 and 9/10, as well as a bus station. The complex will be fully underground excepting for the station building, with two levels of platforms, accounting for a total of 18 railway tracks.The new station is part of a larger urban redevelopment project along the corridor formed by the railways accessing Barcelona from the north-east, which divides the districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí. This project includes the rebuilding of Sant Andreu Comtal railway station, to the north of Sagrera, and the construction of a 3.7-kilometre-long (2.3 mi) linear artificial park over the railways running on the corridor, which will be put underground. At an estimated cost of €2 billion, the project is funded and managed by Barcelona Sagrera Alta Velocitat (BSAV), a public partnership made up of the Spanish Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council.The idea of a new central station at this location has appeared on local transport projects since the late 1960s. Before being demolished in 2007 with the start of the previous works to the construction of the new station, a major goods station on the Barcelona–Cerbère railway, built between 1918 and 1922, had operated at the location. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new station took place on 21 June 2010, when the completion date was set for 2016. In July 2011, a 1,100 m2 (12,000 sq ft) Roman villa was found due to the station construction works. The Spanish Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the City Council announced in July 2013 that they had reached an agreement to modify the original project in order to reduce its cost. In June 2016, it was disclosed that the station works have remained suspended since early 2014 due to a corruption scandal involving one of the companies carrying out the works.

La Sagrera-Meridiana, simply known as La Sagrera, is an interchange complex underneath Avinguda Meridiana, in the Barcelona district of Sant Andreu, in Catalonia, Spain. It consists of a Rodalies de Catalunya station and three Barcelona Metro stations. The Rodalies de Catalunya station is located in the Meridiana Tunnel on the Lleida to Barcelona via Manresa railway, between Sant Andreu Arenal and Arc de Triomf, and is operated by Renfe Operadora. It is served by Barcelona commuter rail service lines R3 and R4, as well as regional rail line R12. The Barcelona Metro stations are on lines 1 (L1) and 5 (L5), as well as the northern section of line 9/10 (L9 Nord/L10), and are operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB). On the L1, the station is between Navas and Fabra i Puig, on the L5 between Camp de l'Arpa and Congrés, and on the L9/L10 between Plaça Maragall (future) and Sagrera - TAV (under construction). The station is also projected to become the terminus of the L4 once the extension from La Pau opens. A number of interurban bus services stop near the station.

The Bac de Roda Bridge, known locally as the Calatrava bridge, is a road bridge that links the districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí in the city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The bridge was constructed between 1984 and 1987, to a design by Santiago Calatrava, as part of the preparations for the 1992 Summer Olympics.The bridge connects the Carrer de Bac de Roda, to the south in Sant Martí, with the Carrer de Felip II, to the north in Sant Andreu, across the main railway approaches to Barcelona from the north. The Bac de Roda station, on line 2 of the Barcelona Metro, is some 100 metres (330 ft) to the south of the bridge.

Navas is a Barcelona Metro station located in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona, served by L1. It opened in 1953. The name refers to carrer Navas de Tolosa, and the station was originally called Navas de Tolosa until it adopted its current name in 1982. Like the rest of stations in this section of L1, Navas is located under Avinguda Meridiana, and can be accessed from the street of the same name and from carrer de Biscaia. On 21 February 2007 a deaf ONCE lottery seller was murdered in the station by being pushed on to the railtrack.

Bac de Roda is a station on line 2 of the Barcelona Metro. The station is located underneath Carrer Guipúscoa, between Carrer Bac de Roda and Carrer Fluvià, and about 100 metres (330 ft) south of the iconic Bac de Roda Bridge.The side-platform station has an access at either end. The Carrer Bac de Roda access, unusually, has separate turnstiles for each platform. The Carrer Fluvià access has an elevator for wheelchair accessibility. The station was opened in 1997.

Sant Martí de Provençals is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). Sant Martí de Provençals was the center of the eponymous former municipality, which now more or less coincides with the current district of Sant Martí and which gave its name to the main core of the town. The Hipercor bombing was a car bomb attack by the Basque separatist organisation ETA, which is classified as a terrorist group. It took place on 19 June 1987 at the Hipercor shopping centre on Avinguda Meridiana, Barcelona, Spain. The bombing killed 21 people and injured 45, the deadliest attack in ETA's history. Controversy surrounded the timing of telephone warnings made before the attack and the authorities' response to them.

Camp Municipal Narcís Sala (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkam munisiˈpal nəɾˈsis ˈsalə]) is a football stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is the home of the team UE Sant Andreu. Following work in late 2010, the stadium now has an all-seater capacity for 6,563 spectators.
