Bow Lake Village is a small unincorporated community in the town of Strafford, New Hampshire, located at the outlet of Bow Lake. The village is home to the Bow Lake Grange, Isinglass Country Store, 7C's Kitchen and Market (formerly the Blue Loon, Sheila's, and Uncle George's), the old Waldron Store (owned by the Strafford Historical Society) and the Independence Inn & Heartwood Restaurant (formerly the Bow Lake Inn). The village's main roads are New Hampshire Route 202A, which connects it to Northwood and Center Strafford; Province Road, which follows the north shore of the lake; and Water Street, which follows the south shore.

Northwood Meadows State Park is a 674.5-acre (273.0 ha) state park in the town of Northwood, New Hampshire. Activities include nature walks, hiking, picnicking, fishing, non-motorized boating, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.The wooded park has a vast wetlands area that includes a pond created by a dammed brook. A universally-accessible graveled trail leads to the pond, known as Burtt Wildlife Pond, after M. Edward Burtt, who built the park's boulder-fringed roads and dam. The state purchased the land in 1990, which abuts the Forest Peters Wildlife Management Area.

The Northwood Congregational Church is a historic church at 881 1st New Hampshire Turnpike (US 4) in Northwood, New Hampshire. The Greek Revival wood-frame building was built in 1840, and is one of the finest and least-altered Greek Revival churches in the state. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The congregation is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.

The village is located at the intersection of New Hampshire Route 126 and Route 202A. Route 126 connects Center Strafford with Barnstead to the northwest and Barrington to the southeast. Route 202A connects the village with Northwood to the southwest and Rochester to the northeast. Strafford School, serving kindergarten through eighth grade for the town of Strafford, is located in the village, as is the Hill Library. The former Austin Cate Academy (now garrisoned by the 195th Regiment (RTI), New Hampshire Army National Guard), plus the town offices, post office, and Austin Hall (Strafford Historical Society) are all in Center Strafford. The Strafford Union Academy is a historic school building at the junction of New Hampshire Routes 202A and 126 in Center Strafford, New Hampshire. Built in 1833, it is one of the best-preserved early 19th-century academy buildings in the state. The building, now maintained by the local historical society, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Camp Yavneh (Hebrew: מחנה יבנה) is a residential Jewish summer camp in Northwood, New Hampshire. It was established in 1944 by the Boston Hebrew Teacher College under the leadership of Louis and Leah Hurwich, initially as a Hebrew study camp.Yavneh is accredited by the American Camp Association. It offers children aged 8–16 a camp environment where Jewish values and activities are emphasized. The camp is not affiliated with one religious movement, considering itself K'lal Yisrael (lit. 'all Jews are one'), and both egalitarian and Orthodox prayer services are offered daily.

Jenness Pond is a 267-acre (108 ha) water body located primarily in Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Northwood. A small portion of the pond at its northwest end lies in Pittsfield in Merrimack County. The pond's outlet, Jenness Brook (called Narrows Brook farther downstream), is a feeder of Northwood Lake, part of the Suncook River / Merrimack River / Gulf of Maine watershed. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery and contains largemouth and smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout.

The town of Deerfield occupies part of the southern shore. The outlet of the lake is the Little Suncook River, flowing west to the Suncook River, a tributary of the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and brown bullhead, and white perch.Milfoil is present in the lake.
