The Reitz Home Museum is a Victorian house museum located in the Riverside Historic District in downtown Evansville, Indiana. The museum offers year-round guided tours. An authentic restoration offers visitors a step back in time with silk damask-covered walls, hand painted ceilings, delicately molded plaster friezes, and intricately patterned hand-laid wood parquet floors. Other features of the home include tiled and marbled fireplaces, stained glass windows, and French gilt chandeliers. Much of the home is decorated with original period furniture.Considered by many to be one of the finest examples of the French Second Empire style architecture, the home has been featured in several issues of Victorian Homes magazine as well as Victorian Decorating and Lifestyle magazine. In 2003 the home received a commendation from the Victorian Society in America for the preservation and restoration of the Victorian mansion.The museum is open everyday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. except Sunday and Monday.

Busse House, also known as the Visiting Nurse Association, is a historic home located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by the architectural firm Harris & Shopbell and built in 1901 for a prominent local physician. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne style limestone dwelling. It is located next to the Cadick Apartments.: Part 1, p. 25 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The McCurdy Hotel is a historic building in the Riverfront District of Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by architect Henry Ziegler Dietz and built in 1916–1917 in the Colonial Revival style. The McCurdy was constructed on the former site of the St. George Hotel, which was razed in 1915. It opened for business on June 17, 1917, and closed on March 16, 1969, due to bankruptcy. In Spring 2017, the McCurdy Hotel building was reopened as redeveloped apartments.: Part 1, p. 16  President Harry Truman stayed at the McCurdy while conducting a campaign stop in Evansville during the 1948 United States presidential election.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Cadick Apartments, also known as the Plaza Building, is a historic apartment building located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1916, and is a three-story, Beaux-Arts style brick and limestone building. It is located next to the Busse House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Robert Smith Mortuary, also known as the Greek-Shears Mortuary, is a historic mortuary building located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1930, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rectangular Mission Revival style brick building. It features arcaded windows, an esplanade, and steeply pitched red tile roof. It is connected to a 2+1⁄2-story brick former dwelling constructed about 1890 and remodeled in 1930 to complement the new building.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Trinity United Methodist Church is a historic United Methodist church located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. The congregation began in 1825 as a Methodist class and its Gothic Revival style brick church building was completed in 1866. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Buckingham Apartments was a historic apartment building located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by the architecture firm Shopbell & Company and built in 1911. It was in Arts and Crafts movement style architecture.: Part 1  It was demolished on November 18, 1998It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and delisted in 2011.

Auto Hotel Building is a historic parking garage located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. Auto Hotel was built in 1929, and is a four-story, Colonial Revival style brick building.: Part 1 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Old Bittermann Building is a historic commercial building located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1885, and is a three-story, rectangular Italianate style brick building. It features a bracketed metal cornice. The building adjoins the Bitterman Building.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church is an Episcopal parish church located in Evansville, Indiana, within the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. The parish was formally organized in 1836 after a missionary visit from Bishop Jackson Kemper. The present-day church building was erected in 1886 on the corner of 1st and Chestnut St. in downtown Evansville to replace the parish's first church built on the same site. Designed by architects James W. Reid & Merritt J. Reid, the English Gothic Revival-style structure was constructed with Bedford limestone and trimmed with Green River limestone. St. Paul's is known for being the home parish of various prominent figures in Evansville's history. It is also known for its community service, including a weekend soup kitchen through Sr. Joanna's Table. St. Paul's Episcopal Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 17, 1978 as part of the larger Riverside Historic District in downtown Evansville.

The Riverside Historic District is a U.S. historic district located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was added to the register in 1978 and roughly bounded by Southlane Drive, Walnut, Third, and Parrett Streets. It consists of 1,010 acres (4.1 km2) and 425 buildings. It is also known as the Riverside Neighborhood.Located in the heart of the historic district is the Reitz Home Museum. It was built in 1871 and is noted as one of the finest examples of French Second Empire architecture in the United States. Other notable buildings are in the Italianate, Colonial Revival, and Renaissance Revival styles and include the Viele-Koch House (1856, c. 1872–1873), John Morford Stockwell House, Garvin House (c. 1860), St. Paul's Episcopal Church (1886), Nisbet House (1878), Sonntag-Bayard House (1863), Bosse House (1916), Duke House (1892), First Presbyterian Church (1873), Zurstadt House (c. 1853).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
