Mater Dei High School or Evansville Mater Dei High School is a private Catholic high school on the west side of Evansville, Indiana, constructed in 1949. It is one of two Catholic high schools that serve the students of Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, and Warrick counties as part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Evansville.

WABX is a radio station in Evansville, Indiana, owned by Duey Wright, through licensee Midwest Communications, Inc. The station, which broadcasts at 107.5 FM, has aired a classic rock format since 1997.

WIKY-FM (104.1 MHz) is a full-service/adult contemporary music radio station serving the Evansville, Indiana radio market.

Francis Joseph Reitz High School (FJ Reitz High School, FJ Reitz, or simply Reitz) is a public high school on the west side of Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1918 following a donation from local philanthropist and banker Francis Joseph Reitz, for whom the school is named. It is the second-oldest high school in the city after Evansville Central High School and is run by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. It is known as Evansville Reitz by the Indiana High School Athletic Association to distinguish it from Reitz Memorial High School, also named in FJ Reitz's honor. Memorial is a private Roman Catholic school operated by the Diocese of Evansville.

Mesker Amphitheatre was a historic 8,500-seat amphitheater, located in Evansville, Indiana, United States. It contained 5,500 chair back seats before they were removed and 3,000 lawn seats and is located at Mesker Park, near the Mesker Park Zoo. It was built after the death of local philanthropist George Mesker, in 1936, who left $500,000, for park improvements and an additional $250,000, to provide music and entertainment.The venue was closed in 2012 due to its deteriorating condition and has sat vacant since. At one point it was used to house crates of seats that were removed from Roberts Municipal Stadium that sat on its stage and near its entrance. These have seen been removed from the location. The amphitheatre's future remains uncertain.

The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is a zoo that opened in 1928 in Evansville, Indiana, United States. It is located in Mesker Park on Evansville's northwest side and is run by the City of Evansville. The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The Mead Johnson River-Rail-Truck Terminal and Warehouse is a historic terminal / warehouse at the Port of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. The complex was built in 1931 and consists of the terminal building and warehouse. The terminal building is a rectangular canopied structure measuring 285 feet long, 110 feet wide, and 62 feet high. The building is cantilevered 45 feet over the Ohio River. The terminal is serviced by two electric cranes that each measure 54 feet long. The original warehouse is 585 feet long and 150 feet wide. It was enlarged by a 310-foot addition in 1957.: 2–3  The terminal is operated by Kinder Morgan and is served by CSX Transportation. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Pigeon Creek is a tributary of the Ohio River in southwestern Indiana. It runs approximately 47.5 miles (76.4 km) from its eastern source in rural Gibson County near Princeton and its western source near Owensville. The forks merge southeast of Fort Branch, and from there it heads southeast under its new northern crossing of Interstate 69 towards Warrick County near Lynnville. From there it heads south, under Interstate 64, where it is signed as the "Wabash and Erie Canal" instead of as Pigeon Creek. The creek becomes larger as the Little and Big Bluegrass Creeks empty into it in western Warrick County. The larger creek then turns west crossing into Vanderburgh County under its older former Interstate 164 crossing, now also part of Interstate 69, just north of Evansville's East Side. The creek has a few more tributaries join as it first heads west through Evansville's East and North Sides then south between Downtown Evansville and Westside Evansville, where it empties into the Ohio River. The Pigeon Creek watershed is 235,000 acres, with Pigeon Creek transporting almost all of the rainwater that falls on 323 square miles (840 km2) of the land around it. 48% of the watershed is used for farming, 5% is urban, and 7.5% remain wetlands. The remaining 21% is covered by forests (50,000 acres of woodlands). In the past the banks of Pigeon Creek have been home to several businesses and manufacturers, including a textile mill, which was abandoned in the early 20th century. In the 1800s it was part of the Wabash & Erie Canal that provided flatboats access to the Ohio River near the mouth. Farm practices in the past channelized many of the tiny streams that feed the creek (the headwaters), and construction of the Wabash & Erie Canal in the 1800s significantly altered the natural channel of the creek as it flows south past Millersburg toward Stephenson Station. However, the canal ceased to follow the Pigeon Creek where its current path drastically changes from a southern path to a western one in Warrick County. This left the majority of the remaining stretch undeveloped, and in comparison to other streams in urban cities. The creek, as a wildlife oasis in the middle of a bustling city, provides habitats for various fish, waterfowl, and mammals. The Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage is a walking/jogging/biking trail along the Pigeon Creek and the Ohio Riverfront.

Ohio Street Bridge, also known as the Joan Marchand Overlook, is a historic Pratt through Truss bridge located at Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1891 by the Pittsburgh Bridge Company and the sandstone abutments constructed by Eigenmann & Hoolerbach. It is a single span steel truss bridge and measures 198 feet long and 24 feet wide. It is closed to vehicular traffic but is used by pedestrian traffic.: 5 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Lamasco is a former town, and current district, in Evansville, Indiana originally bounded by the present day streets of St. Joseph Avenue on the west, First Avenue on the east, Maryland on the north and the Ohio River on the south to Fulton (meaning Pennsylvania east of Fulton). Lamasco includes the Independence Historic District, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Part of this historic district includes West Franklin Street, a retail and service center with a 100-foot-wide street that plays host to the annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival.

Red Bank is an unincorporated community on the west edge of Evansville in Perry Township, Vanderburgh County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

Louisville and Nashville Railroad Station, also known as L & N Station, was a historic train station located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1902 for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, and was a Richardsonian Romanesque style rock-faced limestone building. It consisted of a three-story central block with two-story flanking wings, and a one-story baggage wing. It had projecting gabled pavilions and a slate hipped roof.: 2 The station was host to tenant railroads, in addition to the L&N. In 1935 the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad closed its depot and ran its trains to the L&N's station. The Big Four (by this point, fully integrated into the New York Central Railroad) also ran its trains to the station. With the end of Illinois Central passenger trains into its Evansville station in 1941, the L&N station that year became the sole passenger train station in the city that year.Temporarily, immediately after the Ohio River flood of 1937, the trains serving the station were diverted to the Chicago & Eastern Illinois' deactivated depot.
