St. Benedict Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Evansville, Indiana, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Evansville. The cathedral, rectory and original school building are contributing properties in the Lincolnshire Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Bayard Park Neighborhood is a neighborhood in Evansville, Indiana which is bounded by Lincoln Avenue, US Highway 41, Washington Avenue and Garvin Street. The Bayard Park Historic District contains approximately 87 acres including 335 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site within the neighborhood boundaries. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The architecture of residential homes in the neighborhood include quaint 1890s Queen Anne cottages, ground-hugging bungalows, American Fourquares, and high-style Early American and English revival types. The neighborhood also features Evansville's first neighborhood park and the East Branch Library, a Carnegie Library funded by the renowned philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.

Reitz Memorial High School or simply Memorial High School (MHS) is an inter-parochial Catholic high school on the east side of Evansville, Indiana. It sits on land bought with money donated by Francis Joseph Reitz in 1922 in memory of his parents, John Augustus and Gertrude Reitz. The school officially opened its doors on January 5, 1925. It is part of the Diocese of Evansville.

Benjamin Bosse High School, referred to as Evansville Bosse High School by the IHSAA, is a public high school of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in Evansville, Indiana, United States. Bosse is the third smallest high school by enrollment of Vanderburgh County's nine high schools. The school is a contributing property to the Lincolnshire Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

William Bedford Sr. House is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1873, and is a two-story brick dwelling with English influences. It features projecting polygonal bays and a one-story, full width front porch on four piers.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Evansville is a city in and the county seat of Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. The Diocese of Evansville (Latin: Dioecesis Evansvicensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Southwestern Indiana in the United States. The mother church of the diocese is St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville. The diocese was formed in 1944 from what was then the Diocese of Indianapolis. Charles H. Braun Stadium is a baseball venue in Evansville, Indiana, US. It is home to the Evansville Purple Aces baseball team of the Division I Missouri Valley Conference. The stadium's capacity is 1,200 spectators, much of which consists of chair-backed seating.The venue is named for Charles H. Braun, an Evansville businessman who died in 1998. Braun's sons, Alan and Charles, Jr., are both involved in the University, Alan as trustee and Charles, Jr. as a former golf coach.Braun Stadium features the Marv and Edie Bates press box. Marv Bates was a broadcaster of Evansville sports. Both he and his wife supported Aces athletics.Prior to Braun Stadium's opening in 1999, Evansville played at Bosse Field from 1985 to 1998.

The University of Evansville (UE) is a private university in Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1854 as Moores Hill College. The university operates a satellite center, Harlaxton College, in Grantham, England. UE offers more than 80 different majors and areas of study, each housed within three colleges and one school within the university: the Schroeder School of Business, the College of Education and Health Sciences, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the William L. Ridgway College of Arts and Sciences. The school is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.Total enrollment (including full and part-time, undergraduate, adult, graduate, and UE students at Harlaxton) is 2,443 students, although full-time undergraduate and Doctor of Physical Therapy enrollment is 1,976 students. The student body represents 55 countries and 44 states with international students comprising 16% of the undergraduate student population. The university also hosts more than 155 student organizations and an active Greek community. UE athletic teams participate in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Purple Aces. Washington Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Evansville, Indiana. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The district, bounded roughly by Madison and Grand Avenues and East Gum and Parrett Streets, sprang up in the late 19th century, during an economic boom when the city's population went from 29,200 in 1880 to more than 59,000 by 1900. When the neighborhood was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, local preservationists cited the district's “important collection of late-Victorian frame houses” – grand styles, from Gothic Revival to French Second Empire, designed by the city's leading architects for some of its leading citizens. Among those who built stately homes on Washington Avenue were Max deJong, an importer and fine clothing retailer; Antonio Sierra, superintendent of the Fendrich Cigar Company; and William Akin Jr., a well-to-do meatpacker who later became mayor of Evansville.The Washington Avenue district – where 23 percent of the houses have been demolished in the last quarter-century – never attracted the investment that other districts in the city have. Local and state preservation experts fear the demolition of structures in the Washington Avenue district along with the accelerating decline of what remains could jeopardize the area's status on the National Register of Historic Places.

Independence Historic District, also known as the West Franklin Street-Wabash Avenue Historic District, is a national historic district located in the Lamasco neighborhood of Evansville, Indiana. The district developed after 1880, and encompasses 95 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. It includes commercial and residential properties and representative examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque, and Beaux-Arts style architecture. Notable buildings include the West Branch Carnegie Library (1912), Laval Block, Heldt-Voelker Hardware Store (1890), First Federal Savings, Gerke Building, August Rosenberger House (1894), and St. Boniface Church (1882, 1902).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

WJWA (91.5 FM) is a radio station in Evansville, Indiana. It is a noncommercial station owned and operated by Hope Media Group, broadcasting their WAY-FM Network programming. The station was previously 91.5 WUEV, known as the "Students Radio Station" and also "Evansville's Radio Station," which the University of Evansville sold in a controversial decision protested by students, alumni, and community in 2018-2019.
