Aliante, North Las Vegas

Aliante Casino and Hotel (formerly Aliante Station) is a hotel and casino in the Aliante community in North Las Vegas, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. The resort was announced as the Aliante Station in December 2005, as a joint project between Station Casinos and The Greenspun Corporation, with an initial cost of $400 million to $450 million. Construction began in February 2007, and the resort was built at a cost of $662 million. After opening in November 2008, the resort operated at a financial loss. Station Casinos filed for bankruptcy the following year, and the resort's ownership was transferred to a holding company. Profits subsequently improved, and Station Casinos continued managing the property until November 2012, when it was renamed Aliante Casino and Hotel. Parts of the resort were then rebranded and refurbished, at a cost of $2.8 million. Boyd Gaming purchased the hotel-casino in 2016, at a cost of $380 million.

Willie McCool Regional Park is a 160-acre regional park in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, located next to the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument and Ice Age Fossils State Park. It is the northernmost park of the city park system.

Ice Age Fossils State Park is a 315-acre state park in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, on the northernmost fringe of the metropolitan area. It is located adjacent to the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument near Willie McCool Regional Park. The park saw its grand opening on January 20, 2024.

Shadow Ridge High School is a public high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was established in 2002 and opened in August 2003. The first graduating class in the high school graduated in June 2005. The school is a part of Clark County School District.

Legacy High School is a high school in North Las Vegas, Nevada that opened in 2006. It is part of the Clark County School District, The school opened with an enrollment of 1,820 and currently has an enrollment of 2,980. Legacy High School describes itself as a Global Studies school, offering eight different sections of foreign language (French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Sign language and Spanish). When the school opened during the 2006-07 school year, Legacy offered Arabic as one of its world languages courses, the first high school in Nevada to do so. The program has since been discontinued.

American Restoration is an American reality television series airing on the History channel. Produced by Leftfield Pictures, the first six seasons were recorded in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it chronicled the daily activities at Rick's Restorations, an antique restoration shop, with its owner Rick Dale, his staff, and teenage son, as they restore various vintage items to their original condition.For season 7, History rebooted the program with a new concept and cast, with the series now following five American restoration shops.The show is the first spin-off of Pawn Stars, in which Dale has appeared several times as an on-camera expert and restored various items. The series has featured cameo appearances by the cast of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Counting Cars, illusionists Lance Burton and David Copperfield, NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, and musicians Sammy Hagar, Billy Joel, and Jason Mraz.

Mojave High School, is a nine-month public high school that is part of Clark County School District located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. After a year of sharing a campus at Cheyenne High School on a "double session" schedule where Cheyenne students attended from 6 am to 12 pm and Mojave students attended 1 pm to 7 pm (while Mojave was under construction), the inaugural class, class of 2000, were the only class to not have an upper-class. The school began with only the Freshman class, who became the first graduating class in 2000.
