Canyon Springs High School is a public high school in North Las Vegas, Nevada and is part of the Clark County School District. Canyon Springs is also home to the Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy and was one of three (including Del Sol High School and Spring Valley High School) schools opened by the district in 2004.

Nevada's 1st Senate district is one of 21 districts in the Nevada Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Pat Spearman since 2012.

It is part of the Clark County School District, The school opened with an enrollment of 1,820 and currently has an enrollment of 2,980. Legacy High School describes itself as a Global Studies school, offering eight different sections of foreign language (French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Sign language and Spanish). When the school opened during the 2006-07 school year, Legacy offered Arabic as one of its world languages courses, the first high school in Nevada to do so. The program has since been discontinued.

The CJ Cup was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. The tournament was played for the first time in October 2017 at the start of the 2017–18 season, and was sponsored by CJ Group. The first three editions were played at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island, South Korea. In 2020, the tournament was moved to Shadow Creek Golf Course in North Las Vegas, Nevada as part of a Las Vegas Swing in October due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. In 2021, plans to return to South Korea were abandoned with the tournament remaining in the Las Vegas area, but moving to The Summit Club in Summerlin. For 2022, the event was held at Congaree Golf Club in Gillisonville, South Carolina, near Hilton Head Island.

Cheyenne High School is a high school in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The school was built in 1991, with an adjacent four portable classrooms, in North Las Vegas, a rapidly growing suburban middle class community. As of the 2006–2007 school year, the school's ethnic ratio was 29.7% White, 33.3% African American, 29.8% Hispanic, 6.4% Asian/Pacific Islander and 0.7% Native American. The male/female population was 53.2%/46.8%, and 14% of the students were IEP (students with disabilities). At that time, Cheyenne had a 59.2% graduation rate.
