Moreton Valence

Whitminster is a village and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England, and on the A38 trunk road approximately 6 miles (10 km) south of Gloucester and 6 miles (10 km) north-west of Stroud. The parish population at the 2011 census was 881. The hamlet of Wheatenhurst is signposted from the A38 at Whitminster. Whitminster is close to the M5 motorway, with Bristol, South Wales and the south Midlands all within an hour's drive. Wheatenhurst manor, with Whitminster House and the parish church of St Andrew, lies about 1 mile (2 km) to the west of the modern village. Plans for additional new housing were announced in Spring 2017.Whitminster has two pubs: The Old Forge Inn, a traditional English pub, and The Whitminster Inn offering accommodation. There is a village shop, a chip shop, a Chinese restaurant and takeaway, and an Indian takeaway. The local school is the Whitminster Endowed C.O.E Primary School,

Hardwicke Court is a Grade II* listed country house in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire, England. The house is Late Georgian in style. It was designed by Sir Robert Smirke and built in 1816–17, although a canal still remains from the early 18th-century gardens of the Trye family. Hardwicke Court was built for Thomas John Lloyd Baker (sometimes written Lloyd-Baker), widower of Mary Sharp. A bust of Sharp's uncle, abolitionist Granville Sharp, is on display at the house. The house and gardens are occasionally open to the public in the summer, and the Lloyd Baker family still resides there.

Epney is a small village on the River Severn. It is 8 miles (13 km) South-West of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England within the parish of Longney and Epney. It is between Longney and Upper Framilode. The village has a pub called The Anchor Inn. The population of the Longney and Epney parish is 285 (2011).The hamlet of Epney was first inhabited by the late 13th century, Originally part of the Moreton Valence Parish and has been part of the Framilode ecclesiastical parish since 1855. Since 1974 Epney has been part of the civil parish of Longney and Epney. The small house known as Doris' Cottage dates from the 15th century and is designated as a Grade II* listed building.

Royal Air Force Moreton Valence or more simply RAF Moreton Valence is a former Royal Air Force installation located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) southwest of Gloucester, Gloucestershire and 24 kilometres (15 mi) northwest of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.

Saint Nicholas Church is a grade I listed building located in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire. It practices Christianity through the Church of England denomination. The church is a stone building of the early English and late perpendicular style. It consists of a chancel, a nave, a south facing porch and a wastern tower housing the six church bells and a clock on the western wall. Inside of the church are several monuments of the Trye family. It has a stained glass window on the east-side which is a memorial to Mr and Mrs Fenwick. There are three windows on the west-side one of which is a memorial to Thomas Barwick Lloyd Baker.

St. Andrew's Church in Whitminster, Gloucestershire is a village church constructed from Cotswold stone. The church site dates from 1086, although no part of the surviving fabric is visibly older than the 14th century. It was enlarged in 1842 to include a north aisle, designed by Bristol architect Thomas Foster, the tower was restored in 1844 and various other areas in 1884 by Sir A.W. Blomfeld, with the externals remaining mostly unchanged from that date. It currently has a peel of 6 bells, the earliest of which dates from 1634. It is one of only a few churches in Gloucestershire to retain a traditional Stoup, a stone basin used to hold Holy Water. The OS Bench Mark on the tower puts the base at 12.7 metres above mean sea level. The parish is part of the Stroudwater Team benefice within the Diocese of Gloucester.

Eco Park is a proposed stadium in Gloucestershire, England. If constructed, the stadium will be the home ground of Forest Green Rovers. It is reputedly going to be the world's first timber stadium. Architects, Zaha Hadid Architects were chosen in November 2016 following a design competition.The stadium was granted planning permission by Stroud District Council in December 2019 following amendments having initially been rejected in June 2019.

Gloucestershire Energy from Waste Facility, also known as the Javelin Park Incinerator is a residual waste incinerator and energy-from-waste power station which produces 14.5MW of energy for the National Grid by burning up to 190,000 tonnes of residual waste each year. The site is located adjacent to the M5 motorway, near junction 12 and to the south of Gloucester.

Severn FM is an internet radio station in the United Kingdom, which started broadcasting online in June 2011, and officially launched from its studio in Hardwicke on 3 December 2011 with the Severn Bore Breakfast Show, the launch coincided with its first 28-day RSL broadcast on 87.9 FM. The brainchild of Andy Clarke (Managing Director of South Gloucester Media CIC and Ringtone.net Ltd) who used his skills gained as a mobile network consultant, it initially followed the standard community radio model but has evolved along the way under the leadership of Andy and his Board of Directors (Barry Kirby, Caro Kingsnorth and Fr Andrew James) along with the presenters and other volunteers who form part of this growing and evolving South Gloucester "Community Project". Severn FM is a 24/7 Internet Radio Station broadcasting on the internet.

Longney is a village on the River Severn 5 miles south-west of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England, within the parish of Longney and Epney. The parish is long and narrow and the main trades are agricultural, with several farms throughout. Longney is the Saxon name meaning a long island. The population of the Longney and Epney parish is 285 (2011).Two roads run through the village. The first, Longney Road, leads to Elmore and Hardwicke, the other to Epney. Many houses were built in conjunction with the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, brick construction provided by local brick works. Thatching for houses was from the reed beds at Frampton-on-Severn.The local school is a Church Of England Primary. The Grade I listed village church dedicated to St Laurence dates to the 13th century, and has a 14th-century tower. The ecclesiastical parish is part of the benefice of Hardwicke and Elmore with Longney, which is part of the Diocese of Gloucester.
