The Alameda (Indianapolis, Indiana)

The current Indianapolis Masonic Temple, also known as Indiana Freemasons Hall, is a historic Masonic Temple located at Indianapolis, Indiana. Construction was begun in 1908, and the building was dedicated in May 1909. It is an eight-story, Classical Revival style cubic form building faced in Indiana limestone. The building features rows of engaged Ionic order columns. It was jointly financed by the Indianapolis Masonic Temple Association and the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Indiana, and was designed by the distinguished Indianapolis architectural firm of Rubush and Hunter. The Indianapolis Masonic Temple is the statewide headquarters of the Grand Lodge F&AM of Indiana, and home to numerous individual Masonic lodges and associated groups. It is also the location of the Masonic Library and Museum of Indiana; the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation; Indiana DeMolay, and many more. The building features an auditorium, two stages, a large dining hall and catering kitchen, a ballroom, and seven large lodge rooms designed for a variety of ceremonial and social purposes.

The Chris Gonzalez Collection, formerly the Chris Gonzalez Library and Archives, is a special collection housed at the Central Library of the Indianapolis Public Library in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The collection contains more than 7,000 materials focused on local and national LGBTQ+ issues and history. Its namesake, Christopher T. Gonzalez, was a local LGBTQ+ activist and founder of Indiana Youth Group. In 2019, Indy Pride partnered with the Indianapolis Public Library to open the collection to the public.

Independent Turnverein, also known as the Hoosier Athletic Club and Marott Building, is a historic Turnverein clubhouse located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1907 and consists of a main three-story brick pavilion connected by a two-story section to a second three-story brick pavilion. It has Prairie School and American Craftsman design elements, including a red tile hipped roof. It features paneled and decorated pilasters, a second floor Palladian window, and limestone decorative elements. The building was remodeled in 1946.: 2–5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Kahn Tailoring Company building is a historic structure located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. It was designed by Indianapolis architects Vonnegut & Bohn and built in 1913. The building is a four-story Neoclassical style structure with reinforced concrete behind a brick veneer. The front entrance features a cornice with decorative features.This building served as the manufacturing headquarters for the Kahn Tailoring Company, started by Henry Kahn in 1903. In addition to the manufacturing building, Kahn operated a retail store at 7 North Meridian Street in Indianapolis. Kahn was known for their high-end, custom suits for men and women. It was also an important manufacturer of military uniforms for the United States during World War I and World War II.In 1954, Kahn Tailoring Company merged with the Globe Tailoring Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved its manufacturing operations to Globe's facilities. The building was sold to a local printing company, who occupied it until at least the late-1990s. The building fell into disrepair before being converted into apartments in 2014.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, officially the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick, is an 8.1-mile-long (13.0 km) urban shared-use path and linear park located in the vicinity of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The trail is often compared to other popular bicycle and pedestrian paths across the U.S. and has inspired similar projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis, Indiana is a historic building designed by architect George F. Schreiber and located in downtown Indianapolis. It is owned by the Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite, an affiliated body of Freemasonry. It was built between 1927 and 1929 at the cost of $2.5 million. The cathedral is one of the largest Masonic buildings in the world and the largest Scottish Rite building anywhere. It has been described as one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the United States.In a 1996 poll, the Indianapolis Business Journal found the cathedral to be the most popular historic building in the city, and the second favorite building of any type. In recent years it has received about 100,000 visitors a year. The Cathedral makes up a triad of major Masonic landmarks in downtown Indianapolis, consisting of itself, the Indianapolis Masonic Temple to its south, and the Murat Shrine Center on Alabama Street.

Central Library is the main branch of the Indianapolis Public Library in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The building was designed by Philadelphia-based architect Paul Philippe Cret (with Zantzinger, Borie and Medary). The original Central Library building was constructed in Greek Doric style architecture, faced with Indiana limestone on a Vermont marble base. Central Library opened to the public on October 8, 1917. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Central Library (Indianapolis–Marion County Public Library) on August 28, 1975. It is the third-oldest library in Indianapolis still used for its original purpose, preceded by the East Washington (1911) and Spades Park branches (1912).

The Nina Mason Pulliam Indianapolis Special Collections Room is a special collection of the Indianapolis Public Library in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The collection contains a variety of adult and children's materials, fiction and nonfiction books by local authors, photographs, scrapbooks, typescripts, manuscripts, autographed editions, letters, newspapers, magazines, and regalia. The collection features materials related to Kurt Vonnegut, May Wright Sewall, the Woollen family, James Whitcomb Riley, and Booth Tarkington. It is named for philanthropist Nina Mason Pulliam and is housed on the sixth floor of the Central Library.

The Indianapolis Public Library (IndyPL), formerly known as the Indianapolis–Marion County Public Library, is the public library system serving the citizens of Marion County, Indiana, United States and its largest city, Indianapolis. The library was founded in 1873 and has grown to include a Central Library building, located adjacent to the Indiana World War Memorial Plaza, and 24 branch libraries spread throughout the county. In 2021, the public library system circulated 7.1 million items and hosted more than 2,500 programs for its 282,000 cardholders.

Gibson Company Building is a historic industrial / commercial building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1916–1917, and is a five-story, rectangular reinforced concrete building over a basement. It has brick and terra cotta curtain walls. The building features Chicago style windows with Italian Renaissance style detailing. It was originally built to house an automobile assembler, supplier, and showroom.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Ambassador is a historic apartment building located at Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1924, and is a large six-story, tan cinder brick building. The first floor has Chicago school style commercial storefronts. It has a recessed entrance with detailed metal canopy and features Sullivanesque terra cotta ornamental detailing.: Part 2, p. 48–49 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Manchester Apartments is a historic apartment building in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1929, and is a three-story, Tudor Revival style brick building. It measures 40 feet wide and 210 feet long and features a gable front pavilion with stucco and decorative half-timbering. The building was remodeled in 1971. It is next to the Sheffield Inn.: 5–6 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
