Chelmsford County High School for Girls or "CCHS", is a selective grammar school for girls aged 11–18 located in Chelmsford, Essex, England. Entrance to the school is by an academic selection test. CCHS is traditionally rated among the most consistently high achieving and academically successful secondary schools in the United Kingdom, regularly scoring top marks for both GCSE and A-level results. CCHS has also been voted the best secondary school in Essex. Chelmsford railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line in the East of England, serving the city of Chelmsford, Essex. It is 29 miles 60 chains (47.9 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Ingatestone to the west and Hatfield Peverel to the east. Its three-letter station code is CHM. The station is currently operated by Greater Anglia, who also operate all trains serving it, as part of the East Anglia franchise. Westbound trains terminate at Liverpool Street and eastbound trains run to a number of destinations including Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester Town, Ipswich and Norwich.

The current Stone Bridge in Chelmsford, Essex, England, was commissioned in 1784 by the Essex Court of Quarter Sessions, who had responsibility for the crossing. The work was entrusted to John Johnson, the county surveyor for Essex from 1782 to 1812. The first stone was lain on 5 October 1785, with a temporary bridge slightly down river allowing a crossing while the work was undertaken. Stone was brought by sea from Dorset to Maldon and then transferred to carts to be taken through Danbury before reaching Chelmsford. It became a Grade II listed structure in 1949.

King Edward VI Grammar School, or KEGS, is a British grammar school with academy status located in the city of Chelmsford, Essex, England. It takes pupils between the ages of 11 and 18, ie. school years 7 to 13. For years 7 to 11 the school is boys-only, whereas it is mixed in the sixth form (years 12 and 13). The headteacher is Tom Carter, who was appointed in the autumn of 2014.

Chelmsford Civic Centre is a municipal building in Duke Street, Chelmsford, Essex, England. The structure, which accommodates the offices and meeting place of Chelmsford City Council, is a locally listed building.
