Elliott School of International Affairs

The Institute for International Economic Policy (abbreviated as IIEP) is a research institution dedicated to the study of global economic governance, based in Washington, DC at the Elliott School of International Affairs of the George Washington University. Notable IIEP members include Sabina Alkire, James Foster, and Jeni Klugman. Partnerships with organizations like the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, Internet Society, and The Nature Conservancy have led to academic conferences and policy seminars.

Walt Whitman Park is a park located on E Street, NW between 19th & 20th Streets, NW in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. There is a small playground in the eastern end of the park, across from Rawlins Park. Directly south of the park is the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM). North of the park is the Elliott School of International Affairs Building of the George Washington University.

The F Street House is today a historic 19th-century mansion in Washington, DC, blocks away from the White House, that serves as the official residence of the President of the George Washington University. It is a registered landmark on the National Register of Historic Places and was previously known as the Steedman-Ray House, Alexander Ray House, and as the F Street Club.

The General Jose de San Martin Memorial is an equestrian statue memorial of Argentine general and independence leader José de San Martín in Washington, D.C., United States. The memorial is located at Virginia Avenue and 20th Street N.W. in the Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C., near the United States Department of State. The memorial was sculpted by Augustin-Alexandre Dumont beginning in 1924. It is a replica of an original located at the Plaza San Martín in Buenos Aires. The memorial was a gift to the United States from Argentina and was dedicated on October 28, 1925. President Calvin Coolidge spoke at the dedication. It was rededicated on October 6, 1976.

The Human Resources University (commonly referred to as HR University or HRU) was part of the United States Office of Personnel Management which serves as the national focal point for the development and delivery of human resources training to enhance the capabilities of the Federal workforce. HRU provided services to Federal human resources contractor personnel as well. Since inception HRU had more than 50,000 registered students from across the Federal government. In April 2014 HRU received some publicity for saving the Federal government over $100 million in cost savings in training costs.HRU’s mission was to offer a learning environment to develop qualified human resources professionals across the United States Federal Government. HRU was the primary training organization for the Federal Human Resources Workforce, and provided formal and informal training for students both in the classroom and on the job. HRU provided formal classroom and online training and had a virtually continuous presence with the workforce through online continuous learning and knowledge sharing on HRU's Web site. HRU’s training opportunities worked to enhance workplace performance and promote mission effectiveness in order to provide a foundation for the future of the Federal Human Resources workforce. Concordia German Evangelical Church and Rectory, also known as Concordia United Church of Christ and Rectory is a historic church in Northwest, Washington, D.C. Concordia Church has been located in Foggy Bottom on the corner of G and 20th streets since 1833. The parsonage was built in 1885. The church building, located directly west of the parsonage, was dedicated May 15, 1892, and remains mostly in its original state. To the rear of the church, on its southern end, a three-bay Sunday School was added in 1899 and reconstructed in 1932. Founded as Concordia German Evangelical United Church, the congregation is now known as The United Church. It is a member congregation of the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. It continues to offer German language services and events today, as well as in English. Its current building was built in 1885–1891 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The U.S. General Services Administration Building is a historic office building and the headquarters of General Services Administration located at Washington, D.C. It was built originally to house offices of the United States Department of the Interior.

Edward J. Kelly Park is a park located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The park is located at the southeast corner of Virginia Avenue and 21st Street NW.

The Oscar W. Underwood House is a historic house located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood Northwest, Washington, D.C. It is nationally significant for its association with Major Archibald Butt (military aide to both presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft), and painter Francis Davis Millet – both of whom died in the Titanic disaster on April 15, 1912 – and also Alabama politician Oscar Underwood (1862–1929) who lived there 1914–1925. It was the first long-term home of the Washington College of Law, the nation's first law school founded and run by women. The property was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The building presently houses a legal aid clinic operated by George Washington University.

Discus Thrower is a bronze sculpture in Washington, D.C. A copy of Myron's Discobolus, it is located in Edward J. Kelly Park, at 21st Street and Virginia Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. The architect was Rodolfo Siviero, and the founder was Bruno Bearzi. It was dedicated on March 1, 1956. It was a gift from the Italian government to commemorate the return of looted art objects after World War II.The inscription reads: (Base of sculpture, east side:) GLI ITALIANI AL POPOLO AMERICANO 28 FEBBRAIO 1956 (Base of sculpture, west side:) SIGNVM IVSTITIAE RESTITVTAE XXVIII.II.MCMXLVIII

Rawlins Park is a park in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The General John A. Rawlins statue is located on the eastern end of the park. Directly north of the park is the General Services Administration. Directly south is the Department of Interior building.

American Foreign Service Association (AFSA), established in 1924, is the professional association of the United States Foreign Service. With over 15,000 dues-paying members, American Foreign Service Association represents 28,000 active and retired Foreign Service employees of the Department of State and Agency for International Development (AID), as well as smaller groups in the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), Foreign Commercial Service (FCS), and International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB).
