Button Bay State Park

Button Bay, previously known as Button Mould Bay or Buttonmold Bay, is an area of shallow water on the east shore of Lake Champlain. It is located in the town of Ferrisburgh (near Vergennes), in Addison County. It is situated between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains in New York. The Bay's name is from the clay concretions found on its shores which looked either like actual clay buttons or the moulds used in button making.Button Bay State Park has been a state park since 1964.

Camp Marbury was a summer camp for girls on Lake Champlain in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Founded in 1921, the family-run camp operated until 1942, when it closed due to logistical difficulties associated with World War II. The camp property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The steamboat Oakes Ames was built in 1868 by the Napoleon B Proctor Shipyard in Burlington, Vermont for the Rutland Railroad. The 244-foot paddle wheeler was designed to ferry railroad cars from Burlington across Lake Champlain to Plattsburgh, New York. She was named after one of the railroad's directors' Oakes Ames.She successfully trialed on 19 August 1868 and her maiden excursion ran the next day to Willsboro Bay, Plattsburg. Mr. Ames went onward to Montreal for a review of the railroad's assets. In 1874, the ship was renamed and repurposed for passenger service as the Champlain II. The following year, on July 16, 1875, the ship was wrecked when it ran aground after drifting off course while being guided by a pilot under the influence of morphine. A salvage operation shortly afterwards removed much of the superstructure, leaving about a third of the wreck in place.The site is now an archaeological site located in Lake Champlain near Westport in Essex County, New York. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Otter Creek is the longest river entirely contained within the borders of Vermont. Roughly 112 miles (180 km) long, it is the primary watercourse running through Rutland County and Addison County. The mouth of the river flows into Lake Champlain. Settled by indigenous peoples at least 10-11,000 years ago, the river was an important economic region for indigenous people before European settlement. The river became an important economic region for settlers, who took advantage of the river for agriculture and industry through the 18th and 19th centuries.

Water Witch was constructed originally as a steamboat in Otter Creek, Vermont in 1832. In 1835, the Lake Champlain Transportation Company bought her and converted her into a schooner. Piloted by Captain Thomas Mock, who had on board his wife and three children and overloaded with iron ore, Water Witch sank in Lake Champlain during a storm on April 26, 1866. The Mocks′ infant, Roa, was in the cabin, and was lost.The wreck of Water Witch was discovered in 1977 by Derek Grout, a Canadian diver. It is considered one of the oldest fully intact commercial sailing ships located underwater in the United States The schooner lies on the bottom of Lake Champlain between New York and Vermont. The vessel is historically significant for its history and construction. The location of Water Witch is an archaeological grave site preserved by the Underwater Historic Preserve System.

The District School No. 1 is a historic one-room schoolhouse on Lake Road in Panton, Vermont. Built about 1818, the stone building is one of Vermont's oldest district schoolhouses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Barber's Point Light is an inactive lighthouse on Lake Champlain in New York.

Kingsland Bay State Park is a 264-acre state park in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, on the shore of Lake Champlain. Activities includes swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking, bicycling, wildlife watching, and winter sports. Facilities include boat rentals, a small beach with a snack bar, a picnic pavilion with two group grills and a smaller grill, other picnic tables, a horseshoe pit and toilets. There are several buildings available to rent for large group gatherings. The State of Vermont has designated 50 acres as the Kingsland Bay Natural Area. The area includes two peninsulas on Lake Champlain separated by Kingsland Bay that support unspoiled natural plant communities, on the shoreline as well as on and behind their bluffs. The Hulburt (western) portion features a lake bluff cedar-pine forest.

Licensed to Addison, Vermont, United States, the station serves the Middlebury, Vermont, Burlington, Vermont-Plattsburgh, New York area. The station is owned by Radio Broadcasting Services, Inc.

Camp Dudley Road Historic District is a national historic district located at Westport, in Essex County, New York. The district contains 131 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing structure. It consists of an agricultural landscape and includes late-19th and early-20th century seasonal developments. Among the buildings are vernacular farmhouses in a variety of styles, barn complexes, a stone schoolhouse built in 1816, Skenewood Estate, the Stable Inn properties, Germain property, "Kenjockety," and Barber's Point Lighthouse. Camp Dudley, the oldest continuing boy's camp is located on a 250-acre (1.0 km2) parcel in the southern part of the district.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Hawley's Ferry House, also known just as the Hawley House, is a historic house on the shore of Lake Champlain in Kingsland Bay State Park, Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Built about 1790, it is one of the few surviving 18th-century buildings on the Vermont side of the lake. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Founded in 1885 by Sumner F. Dudley, Camp Dudley is the oldest continually running boys camp in the United States. It is located in Westport, New York, on the shores of Lake Champlain. In 1993, it was included within the Camp Dudley Road Historic District when listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
