Burdette Park is a recreational facility in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. It is the only municipal park in Vanderburgh County not operated by the City of Evansville. Burdette Park provides a recreational and educational environment consisting of approximately 170 acres of wooded hills in Southwestern Indiana. Burdette Park boasts a wide variety of year-round recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, picnicking, and camping.

Union Township is the most sparsely populated of the eight townships in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 292 and it contained 227 housing units. This is largely due to the entire township being located within the Ohio River Floodplain.

Mud Center is said to be part of the nearby community of Red Bank, even though it is a completely separate community. It is bordered on the east by Carpenter Creek and on the north by Broadway Avenue.

Perry Township is one of eight townships in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 25,092 and it contained 10,678 housing units. The University of Southern Indiana Campus is located in Perry Township. Perry Township was organized in 1840.

Francis Joseph Reitz High School (FJ Reitz High School, FJ Reitz, or simply Reitz) is a public high school on the west side of Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1918 following a donation from local philanthropist and banker Francis Joseph Reitz, for whom the school is named. It is the second-oldest high school in the city after Evansville Central High School and is run by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. It is known as Evansville Reitz by the Indiana High School Athletic Association to distinguish it from Reitz Memorial High School, also named in FJ Reitz's honor. Memorial is a private Roman Catholic school operated by the Diocese of Evansville.

Screaming Eagles Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Evansville, Indiana. It opened in 2019 and seats 4,800 people for basketball games. It is the home arena of the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles at the University of Southern Indiana.

The University of Southern Indiana (USI) is a public university just outside of Evansville, Indiana. Founded in 1965, USI enrolls 9,750 dual credit, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in more than 130 areas of study. USI offers programs through the College of Liberal Arts, Romain College of Business, College of Nursing and Health Professions and the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education. USI is a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. It is also a Carnegie Foundation Community Engaged University which offers continuing education and special programs to more than 15,000 participants annually through outreach and engagement.Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, USI athletic teams will participate in Division I of the NCAA as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. The teams are known as the Screaming Eagles. Previously, USI participated in Division II as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The university is home to an extensive student life, with more than 140 student organizations. USI is classified among "M1 – Master's Colleges and Universities: Larger programs."

The Mead Johnson River-Rail-Truck Terminal and Warehouse is a historic terminal / warehouse at the Port of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. The complex was built in 1931 and consists of the terminal building and warehouse. The terminal building is a rectangular canopied structure measuring 285 feet long, 110 feet wide, and 62 feet high. The building is cantilevered 45 feet over the Ohio River. The terminal is serviced by two electric cranes that each measure 54 feet long. The original warehouse is 585 feet long and 150 feet wide. It was enlarged by a 310-foot addition in 1957.: 2–3  The terminal is operated by Kinder Morgan and is served by CSX Transportation. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
