Vickery Building

The Journal Building (also known as the Gannett Building and Handley Hall) is a historic commercial building at 325-331 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1899 to a design by Arthur G. Wing, it is a fine local example of commercial Renaissance Revival architecture. It was for main years home to Augusta's leading newspaper, the Kennebec Journal. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is now occupied by facilities of the University of Maine at Augusta.

The Masonic Hall is a historic commercial and fraternal society building at 313-321 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1894, it is a significant work of Boston architect John Spofford, and a good local example of restrained Renaissance Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Memorial Bridge, also known as the Kennebec Memorial Bridge, is a bridge in Augusta, Maine, that crosses the Kennebec River, joining the east and west sides of the city. It carries U.S. Route 201, U.S. Route 202, Route 11, and Route 100. The bridge is approximately 2,100 feet (640 m) long and has two lanes for traffic and a barrier-protected sidewalk for pedestrians on each side of the roadway. It was built in 1949.

The Old Post Office and Court House is a historic former federal government building at 295 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1886-1890, it is one of Maine's finest surviving examples of Romanesque Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Doughty Block is a historic commercial building at 265 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1890, it is the downtown's only example of a 19th-century high rise. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Water Street is the location of the central business district of Augusta, Maine. Running parallel to the Kennebec River, Water Street was developed in the 19th century to serve an economy based on water transport and state services, and contains one of the city's highest concentrations of commercial architecture from that period. A portion of the street, running from Commercial Street in the north to the Old Post Office in the south, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Kresge Block is a historic commercial building at 241-249 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1932 to house a department store, it is a distinctive and rare local example of commercial Moderne architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Libby-Hill Block is a historic commercial building at 227-233 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1866 by two prominent businessmen after a fire destroyed part of the downtown, it is one of the city's oldest granite commercial buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The D.V. Adams Co.-Bussell and Weston Building is a historic commercial building at 190 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1909, it is one of the state's best early examples of a department store building. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Kennebec County Courthouse is located at 95 State Street in Augusta, Maine, the state capital and county seat of Kennebec County. Built in 1829 and twice enlarged, it is one of the oldest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the state, and its earliest known example of a Greek temple front. The building, which is now mostly taken up by county offices, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Williams Block is a historic commercial building at 183-187 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1862, it is the only remaining building south of Bridge Street to survive a devastating 1865 fire, and one of a small number of surviving commercial buildings (of many) designed by Francis H. Fassett. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Sturgis and Haskell Building is a historic commercial building at 180-182 Water Street in downtown Augusta, Maine. Built in 1867, it is one of a series of four Italianate commercial buildings built in the wake of a devastating 1865 fire. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
