Mariscal Sucre Airport (IATA: MYC, ICAO: SVBS) is an airport in the Aragua state of Venezuela, serving the city of Maracay. The airport is on the northeastern shore of Lake Valencia also named Los Tacariguas Lake . The airport is named in honor of Antonio José de Sucre, a leader of the Venezuelan War of Independence and the second president of Bolivia. Runway 11/29 length does not include an 85 metres (279 ft) displaced threshold for Runway 29. Runway 06/24 has a 53 metres (174 ft) paved overrun on each end. Within the facilities of this air base, public and private institutions of the civil and military spheres of the Venezuelan aeronautical world operate. There is the Autonomous Bolivarian Service at Aragua Tacarigua Airport, formerly the Autonomous Service at Aragua Florencio Gómez Airport. It was opened to the civilian population in November 2010 to provide an air alternative to the inhabitants of Aragua, who previously had to resort to Valencia, Carabobo or Caracas to take air links. Also here are historical military units of the Bolivarian Military Aviation of Venezuela (AMB in Spanish) formerly called the Venezuelan Air Force (FAV in Spanish), among which there are the Air Training Group No. 14 founded in 1920 and the Academy Military Technician of the AMB founded in 1951.

El Limón is a city in the state of Aragua, Venezuela. It is the shire town of the Mario Briceño Iragorry Municipality. From early colonial times it was a center of cane sugar production, and it remained a small town well into the twentieth century. In the second half of the twentieth century it has grown in size with substantial industrialization. The El Limón River flows through the city, and gives the city its name. On 6 September 1987 the city suffered from heavy flooding of the river. "Heavy rainfall over the first few days of September caused the river to overflow and take everything in its path with it, including roads, houses, cars and, worst of all, lives." The annual San Sebastian's Walk begins in El Limón, proceeds through Henri Pittier National Park, and finishes 42 km away in Ocumare de la Costa.

Estadio Olímpico Hermanos Ghersi Páez is a multi-use stadium in Maracay, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Aragua Fútbol Club. The stadium holds 14,000 people.

Estadio José Pérez Colmenares is a multi-purpose stadium in Maracay, Venezuela. The stadium was named in honor of first baseman and outfielder José Pérez Colmenares, a member of the National Baseball team that won the Baseball World Cup in its 1941 edition. It is used mostly for baseball games and serves as the home of the Tigres de Aragua, a member team of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Located at Campo Elías Street in Maracay, the stadium holds 12,647 people and was opened in 1965. The Aragua club is regarded as one of the most dominant forces since its inception in the league, winning nine championship titles, five of them between the 2003–04 and 2008–09 seasons. As a result, the attendance of the facility has been increasing yearly making necessary major improvements to the structure of the building and also for the 2006 Caribbean Series that took place between the cities of Maracay and Valencia. Since 2021, the stadium also hosts the Samanes de Aragua and the Líderes de Miranda of the Venezuelan Major League, Venezuela's summer baseball league.

Aragua State (Spanish: Estado Aragua, IPA: [esˈtaðo aˈɾaɣwa]) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Located in the Central Region of Venezuela, it has plains, jungles, and Caribbean beaches, of which the most popular are Cata and Choroni. It has Venezuela's first national park, Henri Pittier National Park. The capital is Maracay, and it includes other important cities like Turmero and El Limón. Aragua State covers a total surface area of 7,014 km2 (2,708 sq mi) and, based on the 2011 census information, the estimated population of Aragua State in 2012 is 1,630,308 inhabitants.

Venezuelan Air Force's Museo Aeronáutico de Maracay (Aeronautics Museum of Maracay) is a historical aviation museum of military and civic aeronautic technology inaugurated on 10 December 1963 and located at the installations of the former Aeropuerto Nacional Florencio Gómez (the first airport in Maracay) adjacent to the Venezuelan Air Force officer graduation school, and the "Cradle of Venezuelan Military Aviation" in the City of Maracay, Estado Aragua, Venezuela. The museum is the only one of its kind in Venezuela and the largest collector and restorator of aircraft, engines, weapons, documents, photographs, maps, paintings, memorabilia and other items of historical value. The aviation museum in Maracay is one of the largest in Latin America, with over 40 aircraft on display.

Maracay (Spanish pronunciation: [maɾaˈkaj]) is a city in north-central Venezuela, near the Caribbean coast, and is the capital and most important city of the state of Aragua. Most of it falls under the jurisdiction of Girardot Municipality. The population of Maracay and its surroundings in the 2011 census was 955,362. In Venezuela, Maracay is known as "Ciudad Jardín" ("Garden City").

The Sindoni Tower (also known as Filippo Sindoni Tower or the Torre Sindoni in Spanish) is a building located in the Venezuelan city of Maracay. It is the highest tower in the city. It has an estimated height of 125 meters, and about 32 floors, making it the eighth tallest building in Venezuela, as well as being one of the newest buildings in height. It was opened in 1999. The tower is mostly used as a commercial office space.

The Las Delicias Zoo (Spanish: Parque Zoológico de Las Delicias) Also Zoological Park of Las Delicias Is an urban zoological garden located at 400 meters above sea level in the northern end of the city of Maracay, Aragua State in Venezuela with native species from the Cordillera region and the rest of Venezuela. The zoo operates under Declaration No. 655 published in Official Gazette No. 32007 of June 17, 1980. The Ministry of the Environment maintains the rectory of the Maracay Zoo and the Aragua State Government assumes some administrative responsibility to support the programs that are developed in the park. The zoo is a historical continuation of a hacienda in the eastern slope of Cola de Caballo Mountains. The zoo of Maracay opened for the first time in 1915 at the initiative of General Juan Vicente Gómez as a corral with a personal exhibition of many animals presented at Las Delicias hacienda, owned by the president. Then, native animals such as chigüires, nutrias, corocoras, gabanes, garzones soldiers and alligators. In 1928 the collection was enriched with specimens requested from the Hamburg Zoo and other places such as Bengal, Elephant, Giraffe, Orangutan, Chimpanzee and African Lions. Gómez died in his house inside the zoo grounds in December 1935. The zoo was officially inaugurated in 1952 by the then president of Venezuela Marcos Pérez Jiménez. It was also known for their hybrid bears, which derived from a mating between a male spectacled bear and a female Asian black bear.

The Aragua River is a South America river in Aragua State, Venezuela. The river flows from the northern part of the state into the endorheic Lake Valencia, and is the lake's main tributary.

San Martín de Porres Parish is a Venezuelan administrative political division, located in Libertador Municipality, Aragua State, Venezuela and has an approximate population of 130,270 inhabitants. It covers almost 56% of the municipality. The San Martín de Porres Parish limits to the north with the Santa Rita Parish, to the east with the Palo Negro parish, to the south with the Palo Negro Crossroads, and to the west with the Lake of Valencia. The Parish includes: the old Palo Negro-Santa Rita Highway (Aragua), El Libertador Air Base, El Libertador Air Base Urbanization (BAEL), Los Aviadores Socialist City Urbanization, José Antonio Vargas Hospital (La Ovallera Social Security) and La Ovallera Urbanization.

Santa Rita is a city in the state of Aragua, Venezuela. It is the shire town of the Francisco Linares Alcántara Municipality, in the state of Aragua. It is part of the metropolitan area of Maracay. It is 435 meters above sea level and is located in the hydrographic basin of Lake Valencia. Santa Rita is bordered to the north by the Caño Colorado, and the Caracas-Valencia Highway, and to the south by the Turmero River. In 2023 Santa Rita had 149,158 inhabitants.
