Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO) is the oldest continuously operating school of wilderness medicine in the world. SOLO is one of the originators of today's Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) programs. In 2004 it provided first aid training to the cast and crew of PBS' Colonial House program, and a number of colleges and universities across the United States recognize its courses for credit. SOLO also trains advanced providers in disaster recovery medicine and extended remote care through its GEOMEDIC course.

The Madison Boulder is one of the largest known glacial erratics in North America and among the largest in the world; it is preserved in the 17-acre (6.9 ha) Madison Boulder Natural Area in Madison, New Hampshire. The boulder is a huge granite rock measuring 83 feet (25 m) in length, 23 feet (7.0 m) in height above the ground, and 37 feet (11 m) in width. It weighs upwards of 5,000 short tons (4,500,000 kg). A part of the block is buried, probably to a depth of 10 to 12 feet (3.0 to 3.7 m). It was acquired by the state from the Kennett family in 1946. In 1970, Madison Boulder was designated as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service.

Conway is a census-designated place (CDP) and the primary village in the town of Conway in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 3,576 at the 2020 census. It is the most populous community in the town of Conway, ahead of North Conway.

The William K. Eastman House, also known as the Eastman-Lord House, is a historic house museum at 100 Main Street in Conway, New Hampshire. Built in 1818, it was the home of William K. Eastman, a prominent local businessman, politician, and civic leader until his death in 1879. Now home to the Conway Historical Society, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Bolduc Block, also known as the Majestic Theater, is a historic commercial and theatrical building at 36 Main Street in Conway, New Hampshire. Built in 1923, it was the community's first theater. It is also a good local example of Art Deco architecture, a style uncommon in northern New Hampshire, fire damage to its interior. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2015. It is presently owned by the Mountain Top Music Center.

Conway is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. It is the most populous community in the county, with a population of 9,822 at the 2020 census, down from 10,115 at the 2010 census. The town is on the southeastern edge of the White Mountain National Forest. There are five villages in the town: Conway, North Conway, Center Conway, Redstone and Kearsarge. Additionally, it shares a portion of the village of Intervale with the neighboring town of Bartlett.Conway serves as the main economic and commercial hub for Carroll County. Tourism remains Conway's biggest economic engine, with numerous lodging and rental properties serving visitors to the eastern White Mountains and the Mount Washington Valley, while the technology sector makes up the second largest source of employment. Sites of interest in the town include natural sites such as Cathedral Ledge (popular with climbers), Echo Lake and Conway Lake, as well as several nearby ski resorts. The Conway Scenic Railroad provides day trips to various locations. The village of North Conway features a popular outlet shopping district.

The Conway Public Library serves the town of Conway, New Hampshire. It is located at 15 Greenwood Avenue in Conway village, in an architecturally distinguished Classical Revival building built in 1900 as a gift to the town from Sarah and Lydia Jenks. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Pequawket Brook is a 6.4-mile-long (10.3 km) stream near the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the United States. It lies within the watershed of the Saco River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine. The brook is under the jurisdiction of the New Hampshire Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act. Pequawket Brook rises in the town of Madison, New Hampshire, near a low height of land north of Silver Lake. The brook flows north past extensive sand and gravel excavations to Conway, where it enters Pequawket Pond, a natural pond that has been enlarged by an impoundment in the center of Conway village. Below the pond dam, the brook flows north for one-half mile to the Swift River, just one-half mile above the confluence with the Saco River. New Hampshire Route 113 follows the brook in northern Madison. NH-16 follows the brook from NH-113 to Conway village. The Conway Branch rail line follows the brook and ponds.

The Swift River is a 25.6-mile-long (41.2 km) river in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Saco River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine. The Swift River rises in the township of Livermore, New Hampshire, on the eastern side of Kancamagus Pass, and flows east into a broad valley, surrounded by mountains, known as the Albany Intervale. Leaving the intervale, the river enters a narrow gorge, passing over two sets of small waterfalls, and continues east through the town of Albany to the Saco River at Conway. The river is paralleled for its entire length by New Hampshire Route 112, the scenic Kancamagus Highway.

The Madison School, District No. 1 is a historic one-room district schoolhouse, located on the grounds of the Madison Elementary School on New Hampshire Route 113 in Madison, New Hampshire. The school was built in 1835, and continues to exhibit Greek Revival characteristics despite alterations in 1873 and 1951. It was used as a school until 1950, has hosted town meetings, and has served as the local library. It is presently home to the local historical society. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Eaton is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 405 at the 2020 census. Eaton includes the villages of Eaton Center and Snowville.
