Lotus Lake is an all-sports, 185-acre (75 ha) Oakland County, Michigan lake along the Clinton River. Most of the lake lies within Waterford Township, however the northern portion of the lake is in Independence Township.Lotus Lake connects with the 234-acre (95 ha) Maceday Lake to the north, and connects upstream with 12-acre (4.9 ha) Lester Lake. Boaters can get from Lotus Lake to Lester Lake only by way of a narrow culvert under the railroad tracks. Blain Island lies between Lotus Lake and Maceday Lake. It is accessible by car via a bridge. There are three bridges on the island, affectionately named Lloyd, Beau and Jeff by the residents. There are mostly high-end luxury homes on the island.There is a public boat launch on Maceday Lake which allows boaters to easily access Lotus Lake.

Williams Lake is a 155-acre (63 ha) all-sports lake in Waterford Township in Oakland County, Michigan in the Clinton River watershed.The lake lies north of the Oakland County International Airport, to the west of Airport Road, and to the south and east of Williams Lake Road. Williams Lake connects upstream to Maceday Lake.

Downstream, Lester Lake connects to the 66-acre, 90-feet deep Van Norman Lake.

Van Norman Lake is a private, all-sports, 66-acre (27 ha) lake along the main branch of the Clinton River, in Oakland County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. Most of the lake lies within Independence Township; however, the southern portion of the lake is in Waterford Township.The lake was formed when a dam was built in the late 19th century on the Clinton River near Dixie Highway and Andersonville Road. Prior to then, a small pond existed in Waterford Village on the southeastern shore.The 90-foot-deep (27 m) lake currently has one island. There were three islands as late as the 1980s; however, two have since disappeared due to erosion.Van Norman Lake connects upstream to Lester Lake (12 acres (4.9 ha)) and Greens Lake 117 acres (47 ha)) to the east and downstream to Townsend Lake (26 acres (11 ha)) and Woodhull Lake (135 acres (55 ha)) to the west.Van Norman Lake is the deepest lake in Independence Township and the sixth-deepest of the 387 lakes in Oakland County.

Huntoon Lake is a 42.5-acre (17.2 ha) private, all-sports lake in Waterford Township in Oakland County, Michigan.The 15-ft deep lake is spring fed and is entirely residential. It is located along Airport Rd. north of Hatchery Rd. and south of Williams Lake Rd.

Greens Lake is a private, all-sports, 117-acre (47 ha) lake along the main branch of the Clinton River. The lake lies within Independence Township in Oakland County, Michigan.The lake has a maximum depth of 55 feet (17 m).Greens Lake connects to Lester Lake and Van Norman Lake to the south and Dollar Lake, Middle Lake and Deer Lake to the north.

Waterford Village is an historic community in Waterford Township, Michigan. First settled in 1819, the village is located in the northernmost part of the township along Dixie Highway, on the southeast shore of Van Norman Lake.

Rainbow Lake is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) lake located in Waterford Township, Michigan. It lies west of Dixie Highway and east of Airport Rd. The 15-foot (4.6 m) deep, spring fed private lake is next to Our Lady of the Lakes school.

Waterford Hill is located in Independence Township, in Oakland County, Michigan, 0.4 miles north of Waterford Village. The hill is classified as a summit. It extends from east of Dixie Highway including Ottawa Park Cemetery to the east, to Maple Lane in Moon Valley to the north, to Parview Drive and Greens Lake to the west, to Van Norman Lake to the south. Waterford Hill's elevation is 1,150 feet, making it the second highest point in Independence Township. Three miles away is Pine Knob, the highest point in the township at 1,201 feet.

Moon Valley is located in the southern end of Independence Township in Oakland County, Michigan, United States. It comprises most of section 32 on the northern base of Waterford Hill.

Lake Goodrich is a lake located in Waterford Township, Michigan, USA. It lies east of Hospital Rd , south of Highland Rd. (M-59) and north of Pontiac Lake Rd. The four-acre lake is spring fed.
