Scafell

Mickledore (the name means great door or pass) is a narrow ridge, 840 metres (2755 ft) high, connecting the mountains of Scafell and Scafell Pike in the English Lake District. It is also a pass between the valleys of Wasdale and Eskdale.

Slight Side is a fell in the English Lake District it stands 25 kilometres (16 miles) east southeast of the town of Whitehaven and reaches a height of 762 metres (2,499 ft). Slight Side lies at the south western edge of the Scafell Massif, a four-kilometre-long (2+1⁄2 mi) crescent of high ground which includes the highest ground in England. The fells names derives from the Old Norse language and means "The mountain shieling with the level pastures", it is a combination of the Norse words "sletta" and "saetr". With a shieling meaning a shepherds hut or a mountain pasture used in the summer.

Lingmell is a fell in the English Lake District, standing above the village of Wasdale Head. It is an outlier on the north-west flank of Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain.

Scafell Pike () is the highest and the most prominent mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres (3,209 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Lake District National Park, in Cumbria, and is part of the Southern Fells and the Scafell massif.Scafell Pike forms part of the inactive Scafells volcano.

Broad Crag is a fell in the English Lake District. It is the fifth-highest peak in England at a height of 3,064 feet (934 metres). The mountain was gifted to the National Trust in 1923 by the Fell and Rock Climbing Club.The peak forms part of the Scafell chain, and lies about 440 yards (400 metres) northeast of Scafell Pike. Ill Crag lies south-east, with Great End at the end of the chain about 1 mile (1.5 kilometres) to the north. Broad Crag may be climbed en route to Scafell Pike, via a path from Esk Hause or from the route from Crinkle Crags and Bowfell.

Ill Crag is a fell in the English Lake District. At 935 metres (3,068 ft), it is the fourth-highest peak in England, after Scafell Pike, Sca Fell, and Helvellyn. Ill Crag overlooks Eskdale and has splendid views across to Bowfell and Crinkle Crags.

Wasdale Head (; traditionally ) is a scattered agricultural hamlet in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Wasdale Head claims to be home of the highest mountain (Scafell Pike), deepest lake (Wastwater), smallest church and biggest liar in England. The last of these claims refers to Will Ritson, who paradoxically proclaimed himself as such. In 1870-72 the township/chapelry had a population of 49.

Great How or Great Howe is a hill of 522 metres (1,713 ft) in the north west of the Lake District, England, lying south of Scafell Pike and east of Burnmoor Tarn. It lies in the Borough of Copeland in Cumbria.It is classed as a Fellranger, being described by Richards in the Wasdale volume of his book series. It is among the 21 such summits (originally 18 before the extension of the Lake District) which are not included in Wainwright's list of 214. It is also classed as a Dodd, Dewey, Birkett and Synge.

St Olaf's Church in Wasdale Head, Cumbria, is England's smallest parish church. The earliest record of a church on this site is from 1550, though it is likely that there was an earlier church on this site.

Great Gable is a mountain in the Lake District, United Kingdom. It is named after its appearance as a pyramid from Wasdale, though it is dome-shaped from most other directions. It is one of the most popular of the Lakeland fells, and there are many different routes to the summit. Great Gable is linked by the high pass of Windy Gap to its smaller sister hill, Green Gable, and by the lower pass of Beck Head to its western neighbour, Kirk Fell.

Great End is the most northerly mountain in the Scafell chain, in the English Lake District. From the south it is simply a lump continuing this chain. From the north, however, it appears as an immense mountain, with an imposing north face rising above Sprinkling Tarn (lake). This is a popular location for wild camping, and the north face attracts many climbers. Alfred Wainwright wrote of Great End in his Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells: "This is the true Lakeland of the fellwalker, the sort of terrain that calls him back time after time, the sort of memory that haunts his long winter exile. It is not the pretty places – the flowery lanes of Grasmere or Derwentwater's wooded bays – that keep him restless in his bed; it is the magnificent ones. Places like Great End..."

Mosedale Beck is a stream in Cumbria which runs into Wast Water, which is the deepest lake in England. Mosedale Beck rises in Little Scoat Fell, it then flows south west until it reaches Ritson's Force waterfall. It then turns to the south and flows through the hamlet of Wasdale Head. It then flows through Down-in-the-Dale before it empties into Wast Water near the parallel Lingmell Beck. The Mosedale Horseshoe is a celebrated mountain walk around Mosedale: starting at Wasdale Head it includes Yewbarrow, Red Pike, Scoat Fell, and Pillar.
