Chrysler Detroit Axle Plant (AKA Eldon Axle) was a Chrysler automobile factory in Detroit, Michigan. The factory opened in 1917 and was purchased by Chrysler in 1928. It was expanded in 1956, 1964, 1966, 1969, 1998, 2000, and 2001. The factory closed in 2010. The plant has since been demolished. The property is now used to store new vehicles waiting to be shipped to dealerships. The Church of the Transfiguration Historic District is a group of buildings associated with what was the Church of the Transfiguration Roman Catholic parish (and is now the Saint John Paul II parish), located at 5830 Simon K in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

Keyworth Stadium is a 7,933 seat multi-purpose stadium located in Hamtramck, Michigan, an enclave of Detroit. It was opened by former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt on October 15, 1936, during his second campaign for president. Keyworth was the first Works Progress Administration project in the state of Michigan. Democratic Senator John F. Kennedy spoke at Keyworth Stadium during his successful 1960 presidential campaign.The stadium is owned by Hamtramck Public Schools and it is currently used mostly for soccer and American football matches. The professional soccer club Detroit City FC initiated a crowd-based investment program to renovate and rehabilitate the stadium, intending to move their home games to the stadium in 2016. On February 5, 2016, Detroit City owners announced that they had successfully raised the minimum $400,000 to begin renovations, with the investment drive topping off at $741,250 by the midnight deadline on February 15, 2016.The club played their first game at their new home on May 20, 2016.DCFC set a new club attendance record of 7,887 in a 0–10 loss to Serie A side Frosinone Calcio on July 31, 2018. On September 11, 2020, the National Independent Soccer Association announced that Keyworth Stadium would host the 2020 NISA Fall Playoffs. The tournament took place behind closed doors owing to the then on-going COVID-19 pandemic in Michigan.

Detroit City FC (DCFC) is an American professional soccer club based in Detroit, Michigan, that competes in the USL Championship. The club played in the National Premier Soccer League from 2012 to 2019 and the National Independent Soccer Association in 2020 and 2021. Detroit City plays its home matches at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, an enclave of Detroit.The team's nickname is Le Rouge, derived from Detroit's French roots and the River Rouge that flows through Detroit and many of its suburbs. As well as fielding a men's professional team, Detroit City also fields women's senior sides in the USL W League, and the Premier Arena Soccer League, a development academy, and various youth teams throughout Metro Detroit.

Hamtramck Public Schools (HPS) is a public school district based in the city of Hamtramck, Michigan (USA) in Greater Detroit. The district has the Schools of Choice program, which allows non-district students to enroll in district schools.As of 2011 the official graduation rate is 62%. In 2011 the United Way for Southeastern Michigan arranged a program, funded by a $27.1 million General Motors Foundation grant, intended to improve the graduation rate.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church was a church located at 8363 and 8383 Townsend Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, but was subsequently demolished.

Hamtramck Stadium, also known as Roesink Stadium is (as of 2012) one of only 12 remaining Negro league baseball stadiums. It is located at 3201 Dan Street, in Veterans Park, in Hamtramck, Michigan. The stadium was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. The stadium is located near, and occasionally confused with, Keyworth Stadium (for example, see Black Baseball in Detroit, p. 59). The stadium was rededicated on June 20, 2022, as part of the Juneteenth celebration. In 2020, the stadium's field was renamed Norman "Turkey" Stearnes Field, after Detroit Stars player Turkey Stearnes.

Mount Olivet Cemetery (usually abbreviated and stylized as Mt. Olivet Cemetery) is a cemetery at 17100 Van Dyke Avenue in the city of Detroit in Wayne County, Michigan. It is owned and operated by the Mt. Elliott Cemetery Association, a not-for-profit Catholic organization that is otherwise administered independently from the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit and any of the various Catholic religious orders active in Metro Detroit. At 320 acres (130 ha), it is the largest cemetery in Detroit, although it no longer promotes itself publicly as a Catholic establishment.

Hamtramck ( ham-TRAM-ik) is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An enclave of Detroit, Hamtramck is located roughly 5 miles (8.0 km) north of downtown Detroit, and is surrounded by Detroit on most sides. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 28,433, and was by far the most densely populated municipality in Michigan. It is notable as the only Muslim-majority city in the United States.Known in the 20th century as a vibrant center of Polish-American life and culture, Hamtramck has attracted new immigrants in the 21st century, especially from Yemen, Bangladesh and Pakistan. In 2013, it reportedly became the first Muslim-majority city in the U.S. In 2015, Hamtramck became the first city to have a Muslim-majority city council in the history of the United States, with four of the six council members being Muslim.

Mound Correctional Facility was a Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) prison located in eastern Detroit, Michigan. It was adjacent to the Detroit Reentry Center (formerly the Ryan Correctional Facility). The facility which housed Mound was reopened in August 2013 as the Detroit Detention Center.

Detroit Detention Center (DDC) is a detention center located in eastern Detroit, Michigan. The facility, which operates as a central lockup for Detroit, is staffed by personnel from the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Corrections.
