Bloomington West Side Historic District

Second Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. It was designed by noted African-American architect Samuel Plato and built in 1913. It is a one-story, "L"-plan, Romanesque Revival style stone building on a raised basement. It features broad round arched openings, a two-story bell tower, lancet windows, and oculus tracery.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the Bloomington West Side Historic District.

The Elias Abel House is a historic building in western Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Built in the Greek Revival style in 1845, it was once the grand home of one of Bloomington's leading citizens. After many years of use, it fell into disrepair and was endangered by the possibility of destruction, but restoration has led to its designation as a historic site due to its authentic period architecture.

Hinkle–Garton Farmstead is a historic home and farm located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. The farmhouse was built in 1892, and is a two-story, "T"-plan, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It has a cross-gable roof and rests on a stone foundation. Also on the property are the contributing 1+1⁄2-story gabled ell house (c. 1910), blacksmith shop (1901), garage (c. 1920, 932), a large barn (1928), and grain crib.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Cochran–Helton–Lindley House, also known as the Helton–Lindley House and James Cochran House, is a historic home located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. It was built in 1849–1850, and is a two-story, five-bay, "L"-shaped, Greek Revival style brick dwelling. It has a two-story rear ell with an enclosed two-story porch. Its main entrance is framed by a transom and sidelights and features a porch with square columns and pilasters. It was the home of Indiana Governor Paris Dunning in 1869–1870. The house was renovated in 1976.: 2–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Bloomington West Side Historic District.

Aurora Alternative High School was a high school in Bloomington, Indiana (United States). The Bloomington Graduation School replaced the Aurora Alternative School shortly after it closed. The overlap in services and population essentially amounted to the closing of Aurora and opening of the Graduation School as a rebranding of Aurora, yet with large changes and relocation to a different building. Aurora Alternative High School was for kids who were not successful in traditional schools or just wanted a fresh start in school life. It was also a school of choice, so a student did not have to go there, and students could choose to drop out of the school if it didn't suit their needs. It only accepted students at the end of every trimester (in November, February and May). On September 7, 2009, the enrollment to the start of the 2009–2010 school year was 80.

Johnson's Creamery is a historic creamery building located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. The original section was built about 1914, and is a two-story, rectangular, red brick building. Additions were made to the original building until 1951, and are all constructed of red brick with parapets. The iconic smokestack dates to 1949. Johnson's Creamery vacated the building in 1987.: 5–6 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. It is located in the Bloomington West Side Historic District.

The Steele Dunning Historic District is a neighborhood and historic district in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Composed of small, single- or double-family houses, the district includes houses built from the late nineteenth century through the middle of the twentieth century.

Used only occasionally for many years, it is one of the most important buildings in a large historic district on the city's west side.

Built in the 1820s as a farmhouse, it now lies at the heart of one of the city's neighborhoods, and it is one of Bloomington's most prominent houses. Once the home of the Governor of Indiana, it has been designated a historic site.

The district encompasses 38 contributing buildings and 8 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Bloomington. It developed between about 1840 and 1936, and includes notable examples of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, and Bungalow/American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Blair-Dunning House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Courthouse Square Historic District is a national historic district located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 57 contributing buildings in the central business district of Bloomington. It developed between about 1847 and 1936, and includes notable examples of Classical Revival, Beaux Arts and Italianate style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Bloomington City Hall, Monroe County Courthouse, Princess Theatre, and Wicks Building. Other notable buildings include the Federal Building (c. 1912), Masonic Temple, former Faulkner Hotel (c. 1847), Odd Fellows Building (1892), Allen Building (1907), First National Bank Building (1907), Knights of Pythias Building (1907), and Graham Hotel Building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
