Batu Ferringhi is a suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Located along the northern coast of Penang Island and about 11 km (6.8 mi) northwest of the city centre, it is the prime beach destination in Penang among locals and tourists. To cater to the influx of tourists, several major high-rise hotels have been established along the 4 km (2.5 mi) stretch of beaches. The beach resorts along Batu Ferringhi also offer various water sport activities, such as parasailing. On a clear day, one could get a picturesque view of the Andaman Sea and Mount Jerai, which is located within the neighbouring state of Kedah. In addition, Batu Ferringhi is famous for its night market that offers a wide variety of merchandise and street food. There had been human activity within Batu Ferringhi as early as 1592, when an Englishman, Sir James Lancaster, arrived and began pillaging other vessels around Penang Island. However, for much of its recent history, Batu Ferringhi was a quiet village, until the urbanisation of the area beginning in the 1970s. Due to its location along the northern coast of Penang Island, Batu Ferringhi was hard hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

Tanjung Bungah (also spelt as Tanjong Bungah) is a suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. It is located along the northern coast of Penang Island between Batu Ferringhi and Tanjung Tokong, and about 6.5 km (4.0 mi) northwest of the city centre. Tanjung Bungah is well known as a beach destination, with several hotels and resorts lining the beaches within the area. Decades of urbanisation has also led to the mushrooming of residential high-rises at Tanjung Bungah. In addition, the suburb is home to a significant expatriate population; foreigners made up 5.7% of Tanjung Bungah's population as of 2010. A number of Royal Australian Air Force servicemen used to reside here while being stationed in Penang in the 1960s and 70s.Due to its location along the northern coast of Penang Island, Tanjung Bungah was hard hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Tenby Schools Penang is an international school in Penang, Malaysia, and part of the Tenby International School family. It offers both British curriculum (IGCSE) and Malaysian curriculum (UPSR, SPM) in the same campus for children aged 3–18 years old.It was started by the Augustin family as Sekolah Sri Inai in the early 1980s as a Malaysian private school. In 2007 it integrated a pre-existing Malaysian private school with a Tenby international school in one campus. In 2011 the school was moved to a new campus in Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The capacity of the new site was 750 children.Tenby International School also offers A-level studies from year 2013 onwards.

Teluk Bahang is a town within the city of George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. It is located within the Southwest Penang Island District, near the northwestern tip of Penang Island. Tikus Island (Rat Island) is an islet off the northern coast of Penang Island in the State of Penang, Malaysia. Located nearly 770 m (0.48 mi) off Tanjung Bungah, a suburb of the city of George Town, this uninhabited outcrop is now home to a solar-powered lighthouse. This active lighthouse marks the northern entrance to the Penang Strait and hence, the Port of Penang.Also situated on the islet is a grave belonging to a local Muslim saint. The grave is still visited by local Penangites of various faiths, who occasionally come to seek blessings irrespective of their beliefs.

The Penang Botanic Gardens, (Malay: Taman Kebun Bunga;Tamil :பினாங்கு தாவரவியல் பூங்கா,Piṉāṅku Tāvaraviyal pūṅkā) also known as the "Waterfall Gardens" because of the cascading waterfall nearby, is a botanic garden situated on Jalan Air Terjun (Waterfall Road) in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. The original gardens were established in 1884 from an old quarry site, under the supervision of Charles Curtis, who was the first superintendent, making it one of the oldest botanic gardens built by the British in a colonial settlement.
