Weir is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 450 at the 2010 census.

KTAE (1260 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Elgin, Texas, and serving the Austin metropolitan area. It is owned by Genuine Austin Radio with studios and offices along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTAE airs a sports radio format. KTAE is powered at 1,000 watts by day and 144 watts at night. The transmitter is on North Main Street in Taylor, Texas. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator K270CO at 101.9 MHz in Round Rock, Texas.

Williamson County (sometimes abbreviated as "Wilco") is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 609,017. Its county seat is Georgetown. The county is named for Robert McAlpin Williamson (1804?–1859), a community leader and a veteran of the Battle of San Jacinto.Williamson County is part of the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan statistical area. It was included with Austin in the Best Cities to Live in for 2009 by the Milken Institute. Located in Central Texas, it is on both the Edwards Plateau to the west, rocky terrain and hills, and Texas Blackland Prairies in the east, rich, fertile farming land. The two areas are roughly bisected by Interstate 35.

East View High School is a UIL 5A public high school located in Georgetown, Texas, United States. It is part of the Georgetown Independent School District located in central Williamson County. EVHS is a comprehensive high school. Home of the Patriots, East View High School opened in the Fall of 2008 as the GISD 9th Grade Campus which was recognized by the Texas Education Agency three years in a row. EVHS received an accountability rating of "Met Standard" from the TEA in 2014 and achieved the following distinctions:Academic Achievement in Reading/ELA, Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness.

Hutto High School is a public high school located in Hutto, Texas, USA, and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. It is part of the Hutto Independent School District located in east central Williamson County (part of the greater Austin-Round Rock area). In 2015, the school was rated "met standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Walburg, originally called Concordia, is an unincorporated area located at the crossroads of Farm to Market Road 972 (FM 972) and Farm to Market Road 1105 (FM 1105) in Williamson County, Texas, United States, thirty-three miles northeast of Austin. Walburg is a German American settlement. With its heritage of buildings from the late 1890s, Walburg is a popular site for films, including Michael and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 2. Walburg also hosted filming for the motion picture Stars Over Henrietta. Walburg is known for being a German farming community and has two Lutheran churches, one an LCMS congregation and one LCMC Congregation. Zion Lutheran (http://zionwalburg.org/) sits on a hill overlooking the community and hosts an Annual Wurstbraten which attracts and serves several thousand each year. St. Peter Lutheran is the other Lutheran Church in the immediate vicinity of Walburg. Walburg previously had its own bank. Walburg State Bank, as it was once known, survived independently even through several national banking collapses and at least two bank robberies. It was sold in the early 1990s and closed its Walburg location. Walburg is also home to two graveyards. Zion Lutheran's graveyard is right next to the church. The other graveyard is slightly farther down the road. This one contains a certain tree from which an alleged horse thief in the 1800s was hanged. It is often said that his ghost haunts the town.

Berry Springs Park and Preserve is a park in and of Williamson County, Texas close to the city of Georgetown, Texas. The park is on farm land with many pecan and oak trees as well as the waters of Berry Springs that provide a lake for fishing with fresh water. It is bounded on two sides by Berry Creek and Dry Berry Creek.

Frame Switch is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The town is roughly 30 miles northeast of Austin, Texas, and located between Hutto and Taylor. It was named after a David Frame of Ohio, the "Switch" being a switch on the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was originally settled in the late 1800s.

IOOF Cemetery, or International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, is a cemetery located at 701 Smith Creek Road, near Southwestern University, in Georgetown, Texas, United States.

Southwestern University (Southwestern or SU) is a private liberal arts college in Georgetown, Texas. Formed in 1873 from a revival of collegiate charters granted in 1840, Southwestern is the oldest college or university in Texas. Southwestern offers 40 bachelor's degrees in the arts, sciences, fine arts, and music as well as interdisciplinary and pre-professional programs. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Association of Schools of Music and historically affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The institution is a member of the Annapolis Group, the Associated Colleges of the South, the Council of Independent Colleges, and is a signatory of the Talloires Declaration.
