The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church in Belleville is one of the first churches of Neo-Gothic architecture built in Paris. Located at 139 rue de Belleville, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, it was built between 1854 and 1859.

Place des Fêtes (French pronunciation: ​[plas de fɛt]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving lines 7bis (eastbound only) and 11 in the 19th arrondissement and the Belleville district. It is one of the deepest stations in the metro, at 22.45 meters below the surface. (Abbesses is the deepest, at 36 meters.) The station was opened on 18 January 1911 as part of a branch of line 7 from Louis Blanc to Pré Saint-Gervais. On 3 December 1967 this branch was separated from line 7, becoming line 7bis. The line 11 platforms opened with the first section of the line from Châtelet to Porte des Lilas on 28 April 1935. Along with Maison Blanche, a prototype air raid shelter was added to the station in 1935 to protect it from chemical attacks and was fitted with airtight doors to allow the people to take refuge inside in the event of an attack. They were chosen due to their proximity to heavily populated, working-class districts.

Geographically, the neighborhood is situated on and around a hill which vies with Montmartre as the highest in Paris. The name Belleville literally means "beautiful town".

Botzaris (French pronunciation: [bɔtsaʁis]) is a station on Line 7bis of the Paris Métro. Located in the 19th arrondissement, it was named after Markos Botsaris, an [Greece] Greek hero of the Greek War of Independence. East of this station, line 7bis becomes a unidirectional loop.

Saint Francis of Assisi Church is a Roman Catholic Church located on Rue de Mouzaia in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. It was built between 1914 and 1926, with an interruption caused by the First World War. It was dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Third Order of Saint Francis, founded in 1222.

Belleville was a French commune (municipality) in the Seine département, lying immediately east of Paris, France. It was one of four communes entirely annexed by the city of Paris in 1860. Its territory is now shared by the 19th and 20th arrondissements, but a neighborhood has retained its name: the quartier de Belleville. The village was built on and around a hill, the second highest of the French capital after Montmartre. The composer and conductor Jules Pillevesse (1837–1903) was born in Belleville.

The École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville is a French grande école and school of architecture. It is currently ranked as the best architecture school in France. The school is recognized for its focus on sustainability, and its students have received awards for adaptable designs encouraging new attitudes towards waste. The school has partnerships with 66 international universities, including La Sapienza in Rome and the University of Hong Kong.
