Løgten railway station

Aarhus East nominating district is one of the 92 nominating districts that exists for Danish elections following the 2007 municipal reform. It is one of the four nomination districts in Aarhus Municipality, the others being Aarhus South, Aarhus West and Aarhus North. It was created in 1970, with its boundaries being slightly changed in 2007. In general elections, the district is a strong area for parties commonly associated with the red bloc. The Danish government places the district's center at 56.265°N 10.303°E / 56.265; 10.303.

Skødstrup station is a railway station serving the railway town and suburb of Skødstrup north of Aarhus on the peninsula of Djursland in Jutland, Denmark.The station is located on the Grenaa railway line between Aarhus and Grenaa. It opened in 1878, shortly after the opening of the Aarhus-Ryomgård section of the railway line. Since 2019, the station has been served by the Aarhus light rail system, a tram-train network combining tram lines in the city of Aarhus with operation on railway lines in the surrounding countryside.

Skødstrup is a suburb located north-east of Aarhus in Denmark. The suburb is also a railway town at Grenaabanen, the railroad between the cities of Aarhus and Grenaa. Today Skødstrup has grown together with the adjoining railway town of Løgten into a small urban area named Løgten-Skødstrup with a population of 8,197 (1 January 2019).Skødstrup elementary school has more than 1250 students making it one of the largest schools in the region.

The Studstrup Power Station (Danish: Studstrupværket) is a thermal power station at Studstrup, Denmark. It is operated by Ørsted. It has an electrical generation capacity of 700 MWe and went in service in 1968. The chimney of the power plant is 189.89 metres (623.0 ft) tall. Waste heat from the plant is directed via pipes into Århus and used for district heating. In 2016, the power station was converted from a coal-fueled station to using biomass as their primary fuel. It is located in Aarhus Municipality.

Hornslet is a town located in East Jutland, on the southwestern part of the Djursland peninsula, Denmark. It is a commuter town of the city of Aarhus, which lies approximately 28 kilometers to the southwest, and a railway town at Grenaabanen, the railroad between the cities of Aarhus and Grenaa. Hornslet is located in Syddjurs Municipality, which in turn is part of Region Midtjylland, and has a population of 6,328 (1 January 2023).Rosenholm Castle, which belongs to the family Rosenkrantz, is located immediately outside the town. The castle was recently best known for having given facilities to DR's julekalender "Christmas at the Castle" from 1986. In the past, Hornslet was the largest town in and municipal seat of Rosenholm Municipality. 1. January 2007, it was merged with the neighbouring municipality of Rønde, to form the current Syddjurs Municipality. In 2008 a spectacular collapse of a wind turbine took place, which was filmed.

Until 1 January 2007 Rosenholm municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former Aarhus County on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark just north of Aarhus and is more or less a suburb today. The municipality covered an area of 141 km2, and had a total population of 10.325 (2005). Its last mayor was Richard Volander, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Hornslet. Rosenholm municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Ebeltoft, Midtdjurs, and Rønde municipalities to form the new Syddjurs municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 693 km2 and a total population of 40,196 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Midtjylland ("Mid-Jutland Region").

Skæring Hede (Skæring Heath) or Skæring Mindelund (Skæring Memorial) is a forest and memorial park in Skæring, the northernmost suburb of Aarhus, Denmark. Skæring Hede was originally a large heath but today only a fraction of it remains as encroaching suburbs and areas with summer houses have gradually taken over much of the natural land in the area, through the 70s and 80s. The remaining area of 8.5 hectares (21 acres) are mainly forest, although some heath do remain, and is managed as a public forest park by Aarhus Municipality. Today Skæring Hede is one of only a few public forests in Skæring and the northernmost park in Aarhus. The forest is mainly mixed pine and birch forest with a number of walking paths crossing through it and it is home to a World War II memorial. Skæring Hede is well known as the place where five Danish resistance fighters were executed during the Second World War in one of the first mass executions during the war. Parking facilities on Åstrup Strandvej.The forest has a Grejbase (Equipment base), an equipment locker which can be rented by teachers and other educators on excursions. The base in Skæring Hede is focused on marine biology due to the proximity to the coast and shallow, rocky beach. The forest today is a recreational space in Skæring and an important local landmark.

Skæring is a suburb of Aarhus in Denmark. It is situated some 10 km. north-east of Aarhus C and is one of the wealthier suburbs. Skæring Parish had a population of 4977 as of (2006) of which 4.402 were members of the Church of Denmark. Skæring is known for good beaches, the marina Kaløvig Bådelaug and the former military shooting range Skæring Hede which is today a public park and memorial for five resistance fighters who were executed there during the Second World War. In addition, 2 movies have been filmed in Skæring.

Hjortshøj station is a railway station serving the railway town and suburb of Hjortshøj north of Aarhus on the peninsula of Djursland in Jutland, Denmark.The station is located on the Grenaa railway line between Aarhus and Grenaa. It opened in 1877 with the opening of the Aarhus-Ryomgård section of the railway line. The station was closed in 1969, but reopened in 1979. Since 2019, the station has been served by the Aarhus light rail system, a tram-train network combining tram lines in the city of Aarhus with operation on railway lines in the surrounding countryside.
