Hillevåg Church

Hillevåg is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located southwest of the city centre, south of the lake Mosvatnet, and north of the borough of Hinna. Hillevåg was a part of the old municipality of Hetland until 1965. The borough has residential areas as well as some industrial areas. The University of Stavanger and the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate are located in Hillevåg also. The 8.08-square-kilometre (2,000-acre) borough has a population (2016) of 19,681. This gives the borough a population density of 2,436 inhabitants per square kilometre (6,310/sq mi).

Hillevåg Station (Norwegian: Hillevåg holdeplass) was a railway station located in the city of Stavanger in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It was closed in 2009, and replaced by Paradis Station. The station was served by the Jæren Commuter Rail between Stavanger and Egersund. The station was located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the city centre of Stavanger and used to have service every half hour.

Ullandhaug is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located along the European route E39 highway in the borough of Hillevåg, south of the lake Mosvatnet. The neighborhood has a population of 6,636 which is distributed over an area of 2.55 square kilometres (630 acres).

Våland is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Eiganes og Våland. It is located to the south part of central Stavanger—east of Mosvatnet lake. The neighborhood has a population of 6,152 which is distributed over an area of 2.23 square kilometres (550 acres).

Stavanger University Hospital (Norwegian: Stavanger Universitetssjukehus, SUS) is located in the neighborhood of Våland in Stavanger, Norway. Stavanger University Hospital is one of Norway's largest hospitals with more than 7500 employees. The main hospital is situated in Stavanger, but it has several clinics and medical centers. SUS is the central hospital of Rogaland county, serving as the local hospital from the municipality of Hjelmeland in the north to the municipality of Sokndal in the south. The general service area of the hospital includes an estimated population of more than 330,000 people. SUS has an annual budget of approximately 5 billion NOK.Through cooperation with regional participants, SUS attempt to ensure that the research results with commercial potential reach the market. SUS cooperates with Stavanger Health Research (Stavanger Helseforskning) and Hjertelaget Research Foundation (Forskningsstiftelsen Hjertelaget) both of which both perform and administrate clinical research.

Paradis Station (Norwegian: Paradis holdeplass) is a railway station in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The station is located at Paradis in the city of Stavanger, about 1.4 kilometres (0.87 mi) from the main Stavanger Station. It is served by the Stavanger Commuter Rail operated by Go-Ahead Norge by up to four hourly trains in each direction. The station is located along the double track section of the Sørlandet Line, and was opened on 16 November 2009, replacing Hillevåg Station. It is co-located with a Kolumbus bus stop, allowing transfer to many routes.

Stavanger Heliport, University Hospital (ICAO: ENSX; Norwegian: Stavanger helikopterplass, Universitetssykehuset) is a heliport situated on the premises of Stavanger University Hospital in the Våland neighborhood of the city of Stavanger in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance services, it is home to a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The base is owned by Stavanger Hospital Trust. When it opened in 1981, it was the second such base in the country.

This part of the city is also famous for its nature reserves: Mosvatnet, Vaalandsskogen, and Ullandhaugskogen.

Bekkefaret Church (Norwegian: Bekkefaret kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Bekkefaret neighborhood in the borough of Hillevåg in the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Bekkefaret parish which is part of the Stavanger domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red brick church was built in a semi-circular design in 1977 using designs by the architects Per Amund Riseng and Jan Stensrud. The church seats about 550 people.

It is located in the southern part of the borough of Storhaug, southeast of Paradis. The neighborhood has a population of 3,917 which is distributed over an area of 1.5 square kilometres (370 acres). Varden Church is located in this neighborhood.
