Bekkefaret Church

Bekkefaret is a neighborhood in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hillevåg, along the European route E39 highway. This part of the city is the location of the Stavanger University Hospital and Bekkefaret Church.There are two schools in Bekkefaret (Auglend and Ullandhaug), and sports clubs SK Jarl and Stavanger IF are vital parts of the local community. This part of the city is also famous for its nature reserves: Mosvatnet, Vaalandsskogen, and Ullandhaugskogen.

Stavanger Heliport, University Hospital (ICAO: ENSX; Norwegian: Stavanger helikopterplass, Universitetssykehuset) is a heliport situated on the premises of Stavanger University Hospital in the Våland neighborhood of the city of Stavanger in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance services, it is home to a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The base is owned by Stavanger Hospital Trust. When it opened in 1981, it was the second such base in the country.

Ullandhaug is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located along the European route E39 highway in the borough of Hillevåg, south of the lake Mosvatnet. The neighborhood has a population of 6,636 which is distributed over an area of 2.55 square kilometres (630 acres).

Våland is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Eiganes og Våland. It is located to the south part of central Stavanger—east of Mosvatnet lake. The neighborhood has a population of 6,152 which is distributed over an area of 2.23 square kilometres (550 acres).

Stavanger University Hospital (Norwegian: Stavanger Universitetssjukehus, SUS) is located in the neighborhood of Våland in Stavanger, Norway. Stavanger University Hospital is one of Norway's largest hospitals with more than 7500 employees. The main hospital is situated in Stavanger, but it has several clinics and medical centers. SUS is the central hospital of Rogaland county, serving as the local hospital from the municipality of Hjelmeland in the north to the municipality of Sokndal in the south. The general service area of the hospital includes an estimated population of more than 330,000 people. SUS has an annual budget of approximately 5 billion NOK.Through cooperation with regional participants, SUS attempt to ensure that the research results with commercial potential reach the market. SUS cooperates with Stavanger Health Research (Stavanger Helseforskning) and Hjertelaget Research Foundation (Forskningsstiftelsen Hjertelaget) both of which both perform and administrate clinical research.

SIF Stadion is a sports venue located in Stavanger, Norway. It is the home ground of Stavanger IF Fotball.

Paradis Station (Norwegian: Paradis holdeplass) is a railway station in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The station is located at Paradis in the city of Stavanger, about 1.4 kilometres (0.87 mi) from the main Stavanger Station. It is served by the Stavanger Commuter Rail operated by Go-Ahead Norge by up to four hourly trains in each direction. The station is located along the double track section of the Sørlandet Line, and was opened on 16 November 2009, replacing Hillevåg Station. It is co-located with a Kolumbus bus stop, allowing transfer to many routes.

Sørmarka Arena is an indoor multi-purpose ice rink located in Stavanger, Norway. It consists of a 400-meter speed skating rink, an ice hockey rink, six curling rinks, and a "penguin rink" for newbeginners. There is also a 17-meter (56 ft) tall climbing wall. It can seat 4,000 spectators.The venue was not designed to host concerts, but on 6 June 2010 a Whitney Houston concert was held with 13,000 spectators. It was not possible to place the stage on the short end, and instead it had to be placed on the long end, making seating difficult.

Hillevåg Church (Norwegian: Hillevåg kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hillevåg in the central part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Hillevåg parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1961 using designs by the architects Valdemar Hansteen and Erik Thesen. The church seats about 370 people.

Norwegian School of Creative Studies aims to educate people for a number of professions within the creative industries. Stavanger Museum is a museum of natural and cultural history established in 1877, located in the Norwegian city Stavanger. The museum's collections consist of several departments: the department of zoology, the department for cultural history (which also includes custodianship of the royal residence Ledaal). Departments include the Stavanger Museum of Natural History, Stavanger Maritime Museum, Norwegian Children's Museum, Norwegian Printing Museum, Stavanger School Museum, Stavanger Art Museum, and Norwegian Canning Museum.

St Svithun's Church (or St Swithun's Church, Norwegian: Sankt Svithun kirke) is the parish church of the Roman Catholic Church in Stavanger, Norway. The church is dedicated to St Swithun of Winchester. St Swithun is the Patron saint of Stavanger, and the Stavanger Cathedral of the Church of Norway, built in 1125, was dedicated to St. Svithun, centuries before the Protestant Reformation. The first Catholic church in Stavanger after the Reformation was consecrated in 1898. The current postmodern church was designed by architect Thomas Thiis-Evensen, and built in 1983. The congregation moved to the larger, current church. The church has increased sharply over the last 40 years due to increased immigration in relation to the oil industry and the NATO center, and due to increased immigration from Catholic countries. The strong growth in membership over the past 20 years led to a wish to extend the current church in addition to start with several other booth locations. Already in 1996, the congregation started planning an expansion of the church, and expansion of the church building until nearly 600 seats was completed in 2012 as a continuation of the existing church idiom.
