Stokka Church

Stokka is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Eiganes og Våland. It is located between the European route E39 highway and the lake Stokkavatnet. The neighborhood has a population of 3,599 which is distributed over an area of 3.06 square kilometres (760 acres). Stokka Church is located in this neighborhood. DNB Arena is an indoor ice hockey rink in Stavanger, Norway, and home to the Fjordkraftligaen side Stavanger Oilers. Opened ahead of the 2012–13 season, the arena has a capacity for 4,500 spectators during ice hockey matches and 6,000 during concerts, including 36 executive boxes. The rink is unusual for Norway in that it has the National Hockey League rink size. The 16,500 square meters (178,000 sq ft) building is designed by Arkitektkontoret Jobb and is named for DNB, a Norwegian banking group. Plans for a new venue to replace the aging Stavanger Ishall were first articulated by club-owner Tore Christiansen in 2006. Construction started in May 2011, with Kruse Smith as the main contractor. Construction cost 210 million Norwegian krone (NOK). The venue is owned by the Oilers' investment company, which receives a combined 9 million per year from DNB and the municipality. The arena hosted group stages of 2012–13 IIHF Continental Cup and 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I. It's currently hosting the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship.

Stavanger Ishall, also known as Siddishallen is an indoor ice hockey arena in Stavanger, Norway. It was built in 1968, as only the second arena ice hockey venue in Norway, and has a capacity of 3,090 people. The arena used to host the home games of ice hockey team Stavanger Oilers until 2012 when the team moved to newly built DNB Arena.

Møllebukta (Mill Bay) is a small bay with a sandy beach in the inner part of the Hafrsfjorden in the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger in the southwestern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is named after the Møllebekken creek which flows into the bay on the west side of the beach area. The area historically was utilized for running a corn mill. A park was established in the bay in the 18th century. The beach has a length of about 100 metres (330 ft) and it is popular for swimming and sunbathing.The bronze sculpture Sverd i fjell by Fritz Røed is located at the nearby Mølleberget rock on the east side of the beach.

Stavanger Idrettshall is an indoor arena in Stavanger, Norway. It hosts the home games of the Stavanger handball team, and then has a capacity 4100 people. This arena hosted the main stage of the 2008 European Men's Handball Championship. It will host the 2025 World Men's Handball Championship with the country, Croatia and Denmark.

Tjensvoll is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hillevåg, southwest of the lake Mosvatnet. Until 1987, it was a borough of its own. The neighborhood has a population of 5,756 which is distributed over an area of 2.68 square kilometres (660 acres). Tjensvoll Church is located in this neighborhood.

Tasta is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The borough is located in the northern part of the city. The 10.87-square-kilometre (2,690-acre) borough has a population (2016) of 15,379. This gives the borough a population density of 1,415 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,660/sq mi).Prior to 2020, the eastern half of the island of Åmøy was also included in this borough, but starting in 2020 that area has been part of the borough of Rennesøy. The local sports clubs are Tasta IL and Vardeneset BK.

Tasta Church (Norwegian: Tasta kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Indre Tasta neighborhood in the borough of Tasta in the northern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Tasta parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1977 using designs by the architects Jan Jæger and Per Faltinsen. The church seats about 450 people.

Tjensvoll Church (Norwegian: Tjensvoll kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Tjensvoll neighborhood in the borough of Hillevåg in the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Tjensvoll parish which is part of the Stavanger domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1978 using designs by the architects Per Faltinsen and Inger-Lise Faltinsen. The church seats about 300 people.

Indre Tasta is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the mainland borough of Tasta. The Ytre Tasta neighborhood lies to the north, the Gandsfjorden lies to the east, the Stokkavatnet lake lies to the west, and the borough of Eiganes og Våland lies to the south. The neighborhood has a population of 4,833 which is distributed over an area of 1.62 square kilometres (0.63 sq mi). Tasta Church is located in this neighborhood.

Madlamark is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Madla at the innermost part of the Hafrsfjorden. This area was historically part of the municipality of Madla until 1965. The neighborhood has a population of 6,556 which is distributed over an area of 2.49 square kilometres (620 acres). Madlamark Church is located in the centre of the neighborhood.

Stavanger Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of Viking FK. The stadium opened on 13 August 1917, and was able to hold 17,555 people at the end of its life as Viking's home ground in 2004. The west stand was the largest single-tier spectator stand in the country. The other stands were small roofless terraces without seating.
