Port St Mary railway station

Rushen ( RUUSH-ən; Manx: Rosien), formally Kirk Christ Rushen, is one of the seventeen historic parishes of the Isle of Man. It is located in the south of the island (part of the traditional South Side division) in the sheading of the same name. Administratively, part of the historic parish of Rushen, and the majority of the population, is now covered by the village districts of Port Erin and Port St Mary. As a result, there is an exclave of the parish district which includes the Calf of Man. Other settlements in the parish include Cregneash.

Port St Mary (Manx: Purt le Moirrey or Purt-noo-Moirrey) is a village district in the south-west of the Isle of Man. The village takes its name from the former Chapel of St Mary (Manx: Keeill Moirrey) which is thought to have overlooked Chapel Bay in the village. Its population is 1,953 according to the 2011 census. In the 19th century it was sometimes called Port-le-Murray.

Rushen United F.C. are a football club from Port Erin on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League. The team wear yellow and black stripes kit and play their home games at Croit Lowey in Port Erin. They have been Isle of Man League Champions ten times and won the Manx FA Cup nine times.

Port Erin (Manx: Purt Çhiarn, meaning lord's port) is a seaside village in the south-west of the Isle of Man, in the historic parish of Rushen. It was previously a seaside resort before the decline of the tourist trade. Administratively it is designated as a village district, with its own board of commissioners. The district covers around 1 square mile, and is adjacent to: Port St Mary to the south-east; the main part of Arbory and Rushen parish district to the north and east; the sea to the west; and an exclave of Arbory and Rushen parish district (including the village of Cregneash) to the south. Following recent residential expansion, the settlement is now contiguous with that of Port St Mary, and on 18 July 2018 Tynwald authorised a public enquiry into the proposed expansion of the district boundary to include some of this expansion.The village was twinned with Latour-de-France.

The Isle of Man Railway Museum in the village of Port Erin in the Isle of Man is a small museum of the history of the Isle of Man Railway from its founding in 1873 to the present, including the now-closed lines that served Peel, Ramsey and Foxdale, and the remaining line to Port Erin which forms part of the southern terminus.

Port Erin railway station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Phurt Çhiarn) is the western terminus of the Isle of Man Railway in the village of Port Erin on the Isle of Man; it is the sole remaining outer terminus of the railway. Until 1968 there were termini at both Peel and Ramsey in the west and north of the island respectively.

The Level (sometimes referred to as Colby Level or simply Level) (Manx: Yn Laare) is a seasonally operated request stop on the Isle of Man Railway located in the sheading of Rushen on the Isle of Man. This is the sole remaining section of the railway which once spanned over 46 miles with lines to Peel in the west, Ramsey in the north and the mining village of Foxdale in the centre of the island.

The Port Erin Breakwater Railway was a construction line built in Port Erin on the Isle of Man in 1863 and had the distinction of being the first steam railway on the island, as well as the only broad gauge line. The locomotive was named Henry B. Loch after the then lieutenant governor of the island. Some photographs exist of the construction and locomotive but it is not known what became of any of the stock and assumed that it was returned to the UK upon completion of the project.

Meayll Hill (Manx: Cronk Meayll; also called The Mull) is a small hill in the exclave of Rushen parish at the southern end of the Isle of Man, just outside the village of Cregneash. It is the site of a chambered cairn called Meayll Circle or Mull Circle. Near the summit of the hill also lie the remains of a World War II Chain Home Low RDF station. Meayll Hill Stone Circle is a unique archaeological monument. It consists of twelve burial chambers placed in a ring, with six entrance passages each leading into a pair of chambers. Sherds of ornate pottery, charred bones, flint tools and white quartz pebbles have been found in the burial chambers. It was built around 3500 BC; it is a site of legends, with diverse stories about haunting. The word Meayll means "bald" in Manx Gaelic.

Cregneash or Cregneish (Manx: Creneash) is a small village and tourist destination in the extreme south-west of the Isle of Man, about 1 mi (2 km) from Port Erin. Most of the village is now part of a living museum run by Manx National Heritage. There are also a number of private homes in the village, but their external appearance is controlled to maintain an older look. The village was also home to prominent Manx language speakers, Edward Faragher and Ned Maddrell.

Port-Ny-Ding is a small bay at grid reference 188708, about 1 km north-west of Bradda West (the northern end of Port Erin) on the Isle of Man. According to the map, it can probably be seen from Raad ny Foillan. The bay is in Rushen parish district and the closest village is Port Erin.

Bradda Hill (Manx: Cronk Vradda) is a headland some 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of the village of Port Erin on the Isle of Man. It is not to be confused with Bradda Head which is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to the SW. The path to the summit from Bradda West is part of the Raad ny Foillan, the Isle of Man Coast long distance footpath. Cliffs drop from the summit down to the sea. It shelters Fleshwick Bay from the west. A gorse fire in October 2003 took two days to control, five days to die, and scarred Bradda Hill and other headlands around Fleshwick.
