Belvaux-Soleuvre railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Bieles-Zolwer, French: Gare de Belvaux-Soleuvre, German: Bahnhof Beles-Zolver) is a railway station serving the towns of Belvaux and Soleuvre, in the commune of Sanem, in south-western Luxembourg. The station is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country.

Zolwerknapp (German: Zolver Knapp) is a hill in the commune of Sanem, in south-western Luxembourg. It is 422 metres (1,385 ft) tall, and lies just to the north-west of Soleuvre (Zolwer in Luxembourgish and German, hence the name of the hill.

Soleuvre (Luxembourgish: Zolwer, pronounced [ˈtsolvɐ], German: Zolwer) is a town in the commune of Sanem, in the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette in south-western Luxembourg. As of 2009, the town has a population of 5,471. In 2001, Soleuvre was the fourteenth-largest town in Luxembourg, and the largest that is not the most populous in its own commune (Sanem's administrative centre, Belvaux, is larger).

Belval-Rédange railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Belval-Réideng, French: Gare de Belval-Rédange, German: Bahnhof Belval-Redingen) is a railway station serving the neighbourhood of Belval, in the west of Esch-sur-Alzette, in southern Luxembourg. The 'Rédange' in the name is a reference to the French town of Rédange, which lies just across the border. The station is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country.

Belval-Lycée railway station (French: Gare de Belval-Lycée) is a railway station serving the neighborhood of Belval, in the west of Esch-sur-Alzette, in southern Luxembourg. It opened on 29 September 2011. 'Lycée' refers to the school near the train station. The station is operated by CFL, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country. The station also lies along a French-Luxembourgish hiking loop.In 2017, Le Quotiden considered its recent addition, along with nearby Belval-Université, as partially to blame for increased CFL delays. By 2035, CFL expects to reduce the number of stations in the area by one.

The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) is a research centre located in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg.LISER is a Luxembourgish public research institute under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Its research focus lies in the field of social and economic policy, including the spatial dimension. This comprises topics like poverty, inequality, education, social inclusion, employment, unemployment, health, housing, mobility, and regional convergence. The aim is to improve the understanding of causal relationships and to provide sound evidence for the impact of institutional settings and policy options on outcomes. Based on empirical evidence, the institute aims at providing well-grounded and clear-cut answers to policy relevant questions. The results are published in form of research reports, monographs and scientific articles. LISER has been integrated into a unified legal framework for the Luxembourgish research institutes based on the law of 3 December 2014. It has an annual budget of approximately 18,5 million euro, of which 60% is allocated by the government, and 40% are coming from project related funding resources. Governmental funding is based on a multi-annual performance contract.

The Rockhal, officially Centre de Musiques Amplifiées, is a concert hall in Esch-sur-Alzette, in southern Luxembourg. It opened on 23 September 2005, has a maximum capacity of 6,500 people and is sited on the former industrial site of Belval in the west of Esch.

Rédange (French pronunciation: [ʁedɑ̃ʒ]; German: Redingen; Lorraine Franconian: Réideng) is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France.

Sanem Castle (French: Château de Sanem, Luxembourgish: Schlass Suessem), located in the village of Sanem near Esch-sur-Alzette in south-western Luxembourg has a history dating back to the 13th century. Today's building was completed in 1557 after the medieval castle had been partly destroyed. The castle still maintains much of its original character.

Belval is a quarter and neighbourhood in the west of Esch-sur-Alzette, in south-western Luxembourg. Belval is the site of the large steelworks that dominate the city. Due to the dominance of the steelworks, Belval suffered from the abandonment of steel production in Luxembourg, and is undergoing an extensive regeneration programme to help diversify beyond steel production. The redevelopment plan, costed at €450m, will turn the brownfield site into a large scientific and cultural centre, including the science faculty of the University of Luxembourg. It is the location of the Rockhal, Luxembourg's largest music venue, which opened in 2005. Belval is served by three railway stations operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois: Belval-Université, Belval-Rédange, and Belval-Lycée.

Sanem (Luxembourgish: Suessem [ˈzuəsəm] ; German: Sassenheim) is a commune and town in south-western Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette. The administrative centre and largest town is Belvaux. As of 2005, the town of Sanem, which lies in the north of the commune, has a population of 2,397. Other towns within the commune include Belvaux, Ehlerange, and Soleuvre.

Oberkorn (Luxembourgish: Uewerkuer, pronounced [ˈuːɐ̯vɐkuːɐ̯] de: Oberkorn ) is a town in the commune of Differdange in south-western Luxembourg. As of June 2020, the town had a population of 4,584.
