Klir Beck House

The John Williams House is a historic house located on Pond Road (Maine State Route 41) in Mount Vernon, Maine. Built in 1827, this modest Cape is regarded for its high quality interior woodwork (executed by John Williams, a noted local cabinetmaker), and well-preserved stencilwork attributed to folk artist Moses Eaton. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 1984.

Founded in 1946, the camp occupies 65 acres (26 ha) on the east side of the pond, and is centered on the former Spruce Point Camps, whose facilities, built in the 1920s and 1930s, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Parker Pond is a pond located in the towns of Fayette, Mount Vernon, Chesterville, and Vienna, Maine. Relatively undeveloped, and one of the major bodies of water in the Winthrop Lakes Region, it is 76 feet (23 m) deep, and covers about 2.5 square miles (6 km2) in surface area. Boat access is gained via an undeveloped launch at the north end. Bearnstow, a weekly summer camp, is located on its eastern shore.

The Vienna Town House is a historic government building on Maine State Route 41 in Vienna, Maine. Built in 1854–55, it is a well-preserved local example of transitional Greek Revival-Italianate architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It continues to be used for municipal functions.

The Kennebec Highlands is a protected area in central Maine. The Highlands comprises about 6,400 acres (26 km2), mostly in the town of Vienna. It also includes land in Rome, Mount Vernon, and New Sharon. The area is roughly bounded by State Route 27, Watson Pond Rd., Belgrade Rd., and Kimball Pond Rd., plus extensions east of Watson Pond Rd. to Long Pond. It takes its name from its hills, which include McGaffey Mountain, the 1,310-foot (400 m) summit of which is the highest point of Kennebec County.The Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance (BRCA) began the effort to protect the area from development in 1999, assisted by a grant from the Land for Maine's Future (LMF) Program. By 2004, it had bought or acquired conservation easements on 5,600 acres (23 km2).The Kennebec Highlands includes about 18 miles (30 km) of trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and snowmobiling.

Echo Lake, also known as Crotched Pond, is a lake located in the towns of Fayette, Mount Vernon and Readfield, Maine. It is 117 feet (36 m) deep, and covers about 1.9 square miles (5 km2) in surface area. One of the major bodies of water in the Winthrop Lakes Region, the lake is known for its rocky shores, scenery, deep cool water, and naturally reproducing lake trout population. A public boat launch is located on the north shore in Mount Vernon off State Route #41. Camp Winnebago, a summer camp for boys, is located on the southwest shore of Echo Lake.

The Starling Grange, now Starling Hall, is an historic former Grange hall at 2769 Main Street (ME 17) in Fayette, Maine, US. Built in 1879, it has been a fixture of the community since then. The Grange chapter disbanded in 1987, and the building has since then been owned by the town. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Dr. Samuel Quimby House is a historic house on North Road in southern Mount Vernon, Maine. Built about 1800 for the area's first doctor, it is an unusually elaborate expression of folk Federal period architecture in a rural setting. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Kents Hill is an unincorporated village in the northwestern corner of the town of Readfield in Kennebec County, Maine, United States, east of the town of Fayette, with which the village shares a zip code (04349).The village's name comes from the farmer who owned the land before Luther Sampson bought it to start Kents Hill School.

Kents Hill School (also known as Kents Hill or KHS) is a co-educational, independent college-preparatory school for boarding and day students. Kents Hill is located in Kents Hill, Maine, 12 miles west of the state capital of Augusta. It is the 30th oldest boarding school in the United States and one of the oldest continuously operating co-educational college preparatory schools. One of the three oldest Methodist academies in the United States (with Cazenovia Seminary and Wilbraham Academy), the school is now a member of the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
