Vienna is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 578 at the 2020 census.

The Vienna Town House is a historic government building on Maine State Route 41 in Vienna, Maine. Built in 1854–55, it is a well-preserved local example of transitional Greek Revival-Italianate architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It continues to be used for municipal functions.

Mount Vernon is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,721 at the 2020 census. Mount Vernon is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area. A popular recreation spot in central Maine, the northern area of Mount Vernon is part of the Belgrade Lakes Region, while the southern area is part of the Winthrop Lakes Region.

The John Williams House is a historic house located on Pond Road (Maine State Route 41) in Mount Vernon, Maine. Built in 1827, this modest Cape is regarded for its high quality interior woodwork (executed by John Williams, a noted local cabinetmaker), and well-preserved stencilwork attributed to folk artist Moses Eaton. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 1984.

The Chandler Store is a historic formerly commercial building on Maine State Route 27 in the center of the Belgrade Lakes village of Belgrade, Maine. Built in 1838, it is one of only two known commercial buildings in the state to be built out of granite blocks. It is now a private residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Klir Beck House, also known as The Gnomes, was a historic house in Vienna, Maine. It was an architecturally idiosyncratic house, built by the artist Klir Beck as a summer residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and was destroyed by fire in 2000. It was delisted in 2017.

The Birches is a historic house on Foster Lane in Belgrade Lakes, Maine. Built in 1916 to a design by John Calvin Stevens and John Howard Stevens, it is the best-preserved surviving structure related to The Belgrade Hotel, a large summer resort hotel which burned down in 1955. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Rome is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,148 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Belgrade Lakes resort area, and is included in the Augusta, Maine, micropolitan New England City and Town Area.

Bearnstow is a summer camp on Parker Pond in Mount Vernon, Maine. The camp offers weeklong and day programs for adults and children, with an emphasis on appreciation of nature through the arts and sciences. Founded in 1946, the camp occupies 65 acres (26 ha) on the east side of the pond, and is centered on the former Spruce Point Camps, whose facilities, built in the 1920s and 1930s, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Parker Pond is a pond located in the towns of Fayette, Mount Vernon, Chesterville, and Vienna, Maine. Relatively undeveloped, and one of the major bodies of water in the Winthrop Lakes Region, it is 76 feet (23 m) deep, and covers about 2.5 square miles (6 km2) in surface area. Boat access is gained via an undeveloped launch at the north end. Bearnstow, a weekly summer camp, is located on its eastern shore.

The New Sharon Bridge was a single-span iron Pennsylvania truss that carried U.S. Route 2 (US 2) over the Sandy River in New Sharon, Maine. The bridge was built in 1916, closed to traffic in the 1990s, and was demolished on February 27, 2014. It had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of only three pin-connected Pennsylvania truss bridges in the state.

New Sharon is a town in Franklin County, Maine, incorporated in 1794. The population was 1,458 at the 2020 census. The town is roughly bisected by the Sandy River, a tributary of the Kennebec River. Fred H. Hale Sr., who was recognized as the world's oldest living man from March 5, 2004 to November 19, 2004, was born in the town on December 1, 1890.
