Mint Colony is a monorail station on Line 1 of the Mumbai Monorail located at Wadia Baug, Best Colony in the Parel suburb of Mumbai, India. Lies on the Shri Sai Baba Marg which is nearby Lalbaug Flyover.

Parel (ISO: Paraḷ, pronunciation: [pəɾəɭ]) is a neighbourhood of Mumbai. Parel used to have a number of textile mills, but these have been replaced by commercial office space development.

Cotton Green is a suburb of Mumbai, and a noted residential and commercial area east of Parel, in central Mumbai, 8 km north of Colaba. It is also the name of a railway station on the Mumbai suburban railway, which lies along the Harbour line, which is a part of the Central Railway. There was an earlier Cotton Green in Colaba that is marked in old maps. That location is now part of Badhwar Park. Cotton was shipped from this location as recently as 1910.

Ghodapdeo is a neighborhood in Byculla, Mumbai. Ghodapdeo lies between Cotton Green, Reay Road, Raani Baug, Mustafa Bazaar and Kaala Chowki. It consists mainly of the labour class population. The main language spoken is Marathi. A wide range of industrial units and individual factories are scattered all over the neighborhood. A small temple of god named 'Ghodapdeo' is built here and thus the name given is Ghodapdeo Road. Historically this area was for cloth mills but after liberalisation (post 1990) all the mills were shut down and only 1 mill was operating till 2011. From 2006 full round of redevelopment started in Ghodapdeo and now there are handful of iconic chawls. Though majority of population in Ghodapdeo is Maharashtrian, Rajasthani and Gujarati population is also substantial.

Parel (परळ) Vidhan Sabha seat was one of the constituencies of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, in India. It ceased to exist after the delimitation of seats in 2008. Shivsena has won this seat since 1990. This was the first seat won by shivsena in its history in 1970 . Wamanrao Mahadik won this seat and was the first member of shivsena to enter in the assembly

King Edward (VII) Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, located in Mumbai, is a teaching and medical care providing institution in India. It was founded in 1926; it is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The students and alumni of Seth G. S. Medical College are colloquially referred to as GSites. The medical college (school) provides training to about 2,000 students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical courses-level; in undergraduate and postgraduate physical and occupational therapy courses; Masters and Ph.D. courses in various allied specialties. A nursing school is also maintained by this institution. With about 390 staff physicians and 550 resident doctors, the 1,800 bedded hospital treats about 1.8 million out-patients and 85,000 in-patients annually. It provides both basic care and advanced treatment facilities in all fields of medicine and surgery. Funded mainly by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, this institution renders virtually free of cost service to the underprivileged sections of the society.During the COVID-19 pandemic, on 3 May 2020, Indian Air Force choppers showered flower petals on King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, J. J. Hospital, and Kasturba Gandhi Hospital to pay tribute to healthcare workers fighting for the safety of the people of Mumbai.

The Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing is located in Parel in Mumbai (Bombay), India. It was established on 10 August 1899 by Dr. Waldemar Mordechai Haffkine, as a bacteriology research centre called the "Plague Research Laboratory". It now offers various basic and applied bio-medical science services. The Institute opened a museum on its premises in March 2014 to showcase Haffkine's research and developments in microbiology and chart the history of the institute. The Institute received ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2012. The Institute now serves as a teaching institution in the field of biomedical sciences and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for M.Sc (Microbiology, Applied Biology and Organic Chemistry), Ph.D. (Microbiology) and M.D (P.S.M.) degree programs. In addition, the Institute undertakes specialized testing assignments and projects for pharmaceutical and other health-related products. The Institute conducts research in the improvement of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine, surveillance and microbiological analysis of typhoid, prevalence of drug resistance in bacteria, studies of infections occurring in AIDS patients, and the development of newer chemotherapeutic agents to combat microbial and zoonotic infections.

Chinchpokli Assembly constituency was one of the 288 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra a western state of India. Chinchpokli was also part of Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency. Chinchpokli existed till 2004 elections until Byculla Assembly constituency was formed in 2008.

Lower Parel is a monorail station of Mumbai Monorail located in the Lower Parel suburb of Mumbai, India. Lies on the NM Joshi Marg. It lies to the West of Lalbaug area of South Central Mumbai. Lower Parel monorail station connects with Currey Road railway station with the length of 350m far and with Lower Parel railway station is of 300m far.

Chinchpokli (Marathi: चिंचपोकळी) is a neighbourhood in South Mumbai. It is also the name of a railway station on the Central line of the Mumbai suburban railway. Historical British era spellings include Chinchpugli and Chinchpooghly. The neighbourhood is named after the Marathi words for tamarind (chinch) and betel nut (pofali).

Reay Road (station code: RRD) is a railway station on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. The station is a Grade-I heritage structure. The other 4 stations on Mumbai's heritage list include Byculla, Bandra, CSMT and Churchgate. Reay Road was named after Lord Reay, Governor of Bombay between 1885 and 1890. It was opened in 1910 and was originally used as a terminus for the Kurla-Reay Road harbour line. Commuters had to take a tram to continue the journey to Bombay (now Mumbai). The letters GIPR can be seen on either side of the station. GIPR is the abbreviation for Great Indian Peninsula Railway, the first rail line in India.The tracks have been extended for 12 car local trains. The track passes under a road connecting both sides of the station platform. Britannia, a famous brand of baked goods has a bakery in this area. A forging mill is present next to the railway station. The station gives access for many Iron goods stockists in the area. These Stockists stock iron beams, rods, plates etc. in the nearby warehouses and trade from there. This place is also a source for traders who depend on the ship breaking industry.
